mmmmmm, have just made waffles with my new waffle iron. was eying the damn thing up in lidl for weeks and decided to treat myself this week andmy god they were delicious [drool]

didn't make enough though and the kids ate most of them so consoling myself with carrot cake

tried to go for a walk with the kids but by god it's artic out there, the poor mites were crying from the cold after about 5 mins so had to abandon that plan.

so of those of you who know you're going to meet your babies tomorrow. best of luck to all of you and i can't wait to hear the good news as soon as ye're back with us

nkweto · 01/02/2009 16:35

McDreamy · 01/02/2009 16:49

Afternoon all! It snowing very gently here, hoping we won't get much but the forecast is for lots.

Once again - good luck for tomorrow CS ladies, I shall be checking in all day for any updates - about time we got some more babies on here!

Scar pain is more like a stitch today so not as worried. Have just about finished off my baby shopping today with nursing underwear (very sexy ), just got to find a car seat! tried the Maxi Cosy and the Bebeconfort at Mothercare today but not a god fit. According to website Britax Baby Safe or Cosy Tots are the way ahead so that is my mission this week.

Congratulations to O&U - we need details

chilledmama · 01/02/2009 18:07

Oh my goodness...you lot can talk!!!
Congratulations O&U

Good luck to all our C-Section ladies tomorrow...my fingers are crossed for your speedy recoveries and cuddly babies to sleep beautifully for you!

I have just written the longest birth plan ever...seeing as this birth seems to be getting (possibly) more and more complicated. Need to type it into Word then I can post it easily but it currently covers 5 sides of A4 paper (in my scrawl).

PinkTulips · 01/02/2009 18:17

where is everyone?... please don't all have your babies and leave me all alone and huge on the AN thread

PinkTulips · 01/02/2009 18:19

sorry chilled, hadn't refreshed page before i posted and missed you.

lol at the mammoth birth plan, bet they'll be delighted when you hand that to them

chilledmama · 01/02/2009 18:21

PT-Mainly it says NO to everything the labour ward wants to do to me

MamaGoose · 01/02/2009 18:24

Just popping on to say good luck to all the CS mummies for tomorrow! Only a few hours till you get to meet your babies.

Nkweto I'm with you. BH going bonkers every night but no sign of this little wriggler coming out. Both my boys were early so this late lark is completely new territory for me!

mumoverseas oooh, am shocked at the prices! Obviously we can get a lot of British stuff here in Spain but we try not to because it's v pricey. I can't get through the winter without porridge though so we pay almost £4 for a 99p pack of oats at a specialist food place.

The waiting continues....

mslucyisbeached · 01/02/2009 18:40

scary pic alert
just posted on facebook group.
roll on tomorrow

Pempe · 01/02/2009 18:44

Hello everybody, I am still here and still pregnant. Good luck to those of you with CS tomorrow, look forward to hearing from you afterwards and seeing photos of your beautiful babies.

Glad to hear you are all ok, aches, pains and BH aside. I am having tightenings and huuuge fanjo pain but nothing significant.

Have been spending the last few days being a proper tourist, sightseeing (very slowly) and sitting outside cafes in the sunshine. My DH has to bully me to get me out the house, but I have to admit it is worth it, it's been very relaxing, and we're seeing it as a last holiday before HE arrives

Off to the hospital tomorrow morning, hopefully my doctor will agree to scan me, because if my baby has managed to untangle himself from the cord, I am going to put my foot down for a natural delivery (I don't have high hopes though - apparently they do everything they can here to get you into theatre....money money money ). If he is still tangled though, I am expecting a date for my CS. So, a tad nervous.

Anything exciting happening with anyone right now?

PinkTulips · 01/02/2009 19:07

chilled.... mines a bit like that but shorter...... along the lines of 'don't touch me, talk to me, intervene with my birth or do anything other than catch the damn baby. once you hand the baby to me i will be going home'

pempe.... fingers crossed for you with the scan tomorrow, hopefully baby will have untangled himself for you.

spottyshoes · 01/02/2009 19:33

I'm sorry I haven't time to read and post properly as had a manic day and am wired to tens before going to bed for a ridiculously early night!!! Just popped on to say good luck to LMN, Mslucy, Swampster. I may have missed something along the way as no-one has mentioned it for a while but I was sure yours was tomorrow too MS! Or did you re-arrange?

Good luck to you all, i'm sure everything will be lovely and calm and you will all be texting and MN'ing immediately to let us know all the news

xxx

littleboyblue · 01/02/2009 19:57

Evening all.
lardy did you call about poss infection?
I'm still a bit 'dodgy' down there so may call tomorrow.

I am very excited about tomorrow!! How many babies are we expcting? 3/4? Hope all of you are doing well and are in bed now having a nice early night.....
I got into bed at midday and dp woke me at 5!

Neerly cannot believe you haven't got your bag packed yet!!

I've hit that stage where this doesn't feel real again. I've been thinking all day how tomoz is my last day at home with ds as an only child and it feels wierd. Make sense? I really have to do those last bits of housework tomorrow and a bit of ironing.

dinkystinky · 01/02/2009 20:00

Evening all. Pleased to say we managed to beat the snow back to London - just! DH cleverly turned the thermostat in our house down to 10 degrees for the weekend (why do men do that?) so it was bloody arctic inside for several hours though - that's a frozen grumpy face by the way - finally starting to warm up! DS definitely has cold again plus vomming on a frequent basis - lovely... Good thing am planning on being housebound tomorrow...

LMN - good luck (with the journey and everything else!!); look forward to hearing your news. Neerly - sounds like you're on the brink too. Nkweto - sorry your bubs is staying put but given the arctic conditions out there I'd say he/she is a wise little person!

Pempe - best of luck at the scan tomorrow and with the conversation with your consultant. Glad you're making the most of chilling pre baby's arival - definitely recommend it for all those first timers on the thread as it just isnt the same the second time round...

littleboyblue · 01/02/2009 20:04

dinky sorry your ds is poorly again. All you need now!

MrsY I just had a look at your AIBU thread and saw a lovely message you posted about your dh. It sounds lovely.
I seem to remember me and dp going through something similar, but it does work out.

lardybump · 01/02/2009 20:15

I am so fed up.... Really stresing about this possiable infection. Called labour ward and they said call out of hours gp as will need checking out asap. Out of ours GP just told me to wait and see my GP in the morning. Argh.......... Have they ever tried to get a docters appointment on a Monday morning..... I will have to wait until after 4 when it is open surgery and wait for hours to be seen...... I am just worried that it might be leaky waters and as it is greeny in colour that there is a problem..... BAby is kicking so hope that means it is ok....

anyway

It is snowing hard here and has settled so a DP will need to take the big car to work which means I am housebound until the afternoon anyway.......

Right have I moaned enough yet?????

dinkystinky · 01/02/2009 20:26

Lardy - I'd call labour ward back and tell them out of hours GP refused to see you, meaning you wont get seen until after 4pm (at earliest) tomorrow and what do they advise in those circumstances? I suspect they'll ask you to pop along to the day assessment unit in the morning instead...

I hope all is ok; good news the little one is still moving lots though

OP posts:
lardybump · 01/02/2009 20:35

I am going to try the docters first then see what happens......

chilledmama · 01/02/2009 20:35

Lardy-don't wait until 4pm tomorrow...call labour ward back as Dinky suggested.

I've posted my Birth Plan on FB...could you all have a look and tell me what you think??

dinkystinky · 01/02/2009 20:41

Ok Lardy - hopefully your GP will be sympathetic and squeeze you in.

OP posts:
dinkystinky · 01/02/2009 20:53

Chilled - have been on facebook and commented on there on your birth plan; think it looks pretty comprehensive though!

MsLucy - awesome picture! My physique is rather similar to yours - god only knows how big this bubs is going to be when he comes out! There were LOTS of doctors at my dad's party today and they were all placing bets on when baby will come - several were saying I looked at least a good 3 weeks off - yikes!

laidbackinengland · 01/02/2009 21:03

Just popping on to wis all those having their C Sections tomorrow the best of luck. Can't wait to hear all the news.

Off to find out face book goss re. O and U !

rosieposey · 01/02/2009 21:03

Just to say good luck to LMN, Swampster and MsLucy for tomorrow - happy 'birthday' to your lo's and you all xxx

MrsY · 01/02/2009 21:12

lardy - Call them back, weather is only going to get worse...

chilled - Birthplan looks good, love the inclusions about Pompey being at home! The things you have to take into account, hey? Have reminded me I need to update mine based on possibility of c-section.

lbb I was feeling a bit guilty about being down on John and everyone thinking he was a nasty husband who will send the baby up chimneys etc! Thought I ought to redress the balance!

idbi Lurve the new photos on fb, and also the video you uploaded. John saw the video, and got excited that madam may be like that in a few years, and he can teach her to rock!
