damm it! IT retarded me never worked out to add my details to list! Can anyone explain how to do it or take pity on me and do it for me??? Due 28/2/09 will be DC4 and I'm an old hag at 40 years old! Home is Saudi Arabia/West Sussex but giving birth in saudi!

TinkerBellesMum · 03/10/2008 11:00

Just highlight the list by dragging your cursor over it, either right click and click "Copy" or press "Ctrl"+"C" then go to the message area and either right click and press "Paste" or press "Ctrl"+"P". Then you just need to look through the list to where you fit in and enter your details.

KazzaL · 03/10/2008 11:04

ctrl p will print on a windows computer - do have a mac TBM? to paste you need to control v

TinkerBellesMum · 03/10/2008 11:13

I meant "V"

dinkystinky · 03/10/2008 11:16

Morning all - Mumoverseas have added your details on list below. Had my 20 week scan today and squiglet was doing baby yoga poses in my tummy (just like DS did when he was a baby and trying to figure out how to walk) - sooooo cute! Turns out that both my DS and I were right - we're having another boy! Squiglet wouldnt show us his face but loved presenting his willy to us... Sonographer was lovely and told me the days she works and said if am in for another appointment on one of those days, she'll try and get a better picture for me. All v happy in the Dinky household...

Congats on your forthcoming little man dinky

Great new thread name girls! Slept poo again last night - not all dp's fault to be honest although i dont think that wrist snoring thingy worked that well it didnt go off when he snored but it did when i spoke to him and told him to stop snoring! (i think it only works with really loud snoring) so it went off at my voice not his snores, made him jump though (grins evilly

Laid there for a whole hour then trying to get back to sleep but couldnt as started to think how i needed to get some one inch heel spectacular brides shoes and it was proving to be an impossible mish then started fretting about getting the bridemaids shoes done and all of the ushers/best man/groom suits measurements in to the shop ... oh dear i think i really need to stop now

Going to go shopping this afternoon (and avoid s/burys cake counter like the plauge) and im really not in the mood (i might be if i was allowed to browse the s/burys cake counter) I keep saying to myself that im going to go online and start shopping via internet delivery as it might save time and effort but then i just cant be arsed to go around all of the virtual isles to actually get that first shop together

mumoverseas · 03/10/2008 11:59

dinkystinky, thank you so much for helping me out and adding me. I was always very IT retarded but am finding it worse since pregnant! Congratulations on your scan result, lovely for your DS and makes it very convenient if you already have all the boy stuff. I stupidly gave away everything after DD (aged 2) born as was adamant I wasn't having anymore! oh well, a bit of retail therapy due I guess.

dinkystinky · 03/10/2008 12:09

Thanks Rosie. Sounds like you need some pre-wedding meditation to help you rest in the night: try and download some soothing music onto your ipod at night time and just put that on continual loop and just focus on relaxing to the music... hopefully will help you drift off (and block out DP's snores.

mrsy · 03/10/2008 13:00

AM IN SO MUCH PAIN - CANT TYPE...

Maybe I can, but it's about all I can do...!

Loving the new title!

mslucy · 03/10/2008 13:21

yay for curry and cake.
great title for thread.
yet to get the cake cravings but you all know about my obsessive love of curry.
had sag paneer & tandoori chicken last night - awesome.

Do you think we should do a gender based survey - are the mums of male babies craving curry and the mums of girls cake or vice versa?

The old wives tale is that you want sweet stuff if you're having a girl and spicy/savoury stuff if you're having a girl.

I'm having a boy and CRAVE curry.

rosieposey · 03/10/2008 13:30

I want both ... but then im just greedy! its madras and cupcakes pour moi!

onwardandupward · 03/10/2008 13:44

ewwww, madras WITH cupcakes????

I am not craving curry. I could give it up any time I wanted to sneaks off for another quick bhuna

I'm definitely not craving cake, but if it's sitting there looking at me, well, I'm hardly going to just leave it, am I?

OP posts:
MamaGoose · 03/10/2008 13:49

Hello all

Love the new title. Bizarrely I had just suggested to in-laws (staying this week) that I would cook a curry tonight!

My household of sickness and pestilence continues. I am thinking of offering rooms for rent as a rapid weight loss programme - success guaranteed. DP has finally succumbed (but note has taken himself to bed and can't do anything whereas I had to soldier on, take children to school, do washing etc...hmmm). DS2 has now been off school for 7 days! I am finally better after 10 days but have lost loads of weight (new slimline figure hidden behind huge bump out front) so I am now the hungriest person in the WHOLE WORLD. Baby was very quiet when I was ill but was doing some sort of Olympic gynamistic routine in there last night!

TBM - glad things getting better for you now and Tinks on mend.

dinkystinky · 03/10/2008 13:51

Is wierd - am indian and not actually craving curry at all (maybe eat it once a fortnight); maybe its because I tend to add chilli and other indian type spices to the other stuff I eat and am actually not that huge a fan of rice (probably eating it every night for dinner during my formative years put me off it abit). However my DH appears to be craving curries - and the beers to go with it - since I got pregnant with this one if that counts?

Not craving cake but still eating lots of it - and chocolate, and crisps (which I never even touched before I got pregnant). No wonder am the size of a house already....

dinkystinky · 03/10/2008 13:53

Oh, but just to get all of you guys really , as part of indian pregnancy rituals, the mum to be has a huge curry-fest blow out meal at 20 weeks plus (when the relatives and family friends all feed tonnes of different kinds of curry to the mum to be and give her gifts). Maybe you should all go indian for the rest of your pregnancies?

mumoverseas · 03/10/2008 13:58

mmmmmmmmmmm curry, but is it really worth the heartburn/indigestion afterwards? yes, guess it is!
TBM, hope the physio sorts you out with crutches. It really is bad enough in pregnancy without having to worry about back problems. I'm dreading getting heavier/fatter as by 7 months last time I could barely move! Back pain has started already at 19 weeks which doesn't bode well! Do warm baths/deep heat work for you?

america · 03/10/2008 13:58

Ohh, jelly beans, snickers bars, oat cheerios... I think I must be expecting a girl Don't fancy curry at all though.

BTW, my boobs are really hurting now. Never had this when expecting DS but it feels like my body is getting ready to BF again.

And congrats for all who had their scan gender results. Mine is next Friday and am getting very impatient.

laidbackinengland · 03/10/2008 14:01

We are having curry tonight too ! Wrote this on the last thread by mistake ...

After 11 years of all boy action.....

Have just found out that my DC4 is....

A girl !

Not sure what to do with one of those

america · 03/10/2008 14:04

Anybody else feels extremely clumsy? I fell from my bed earlier this week with an almighty crash and somehow managed to bruise my forehead, nose AND bum. At the same time having a cold sore and obviously ever-growing bump, I've been stopped several times in the office this week by people asking what in earth has happened to me. A little embarrasing don't you think. Maybe they think that the bruises and the bump have something to do with each other.

nadssss · 03/10/2008 14:28

Hi everyone ? so glad your scans have gone well ? mine too ? all seems fine. And glad to see lots of people having girls too ? I do so hope girls do prove to be cuddley though as I do love that about my little nephew who is happy just to go for cuddles.

Re. sleeping ? thanks for the advice earlier dinky ? my current sleeping habit (whilst not particularly romantic) seems to work: two pregnancy pillows (greedy I know) lying parallel lengthways and me sprawled on my tummy on top ? so the bump has a kind of hole to sit in (bit like a pregnancy massage table).

Curry tonight for me too!

I am VERY clumsy too don?t worry ? smashing beautiful glasses, dropping everything etc

BUT I do think that in some very small sense, whilst certainly not ?blooming?, I am feeling better about everything ? I think because of the visible bump (rather than looking fat), skin better, mood better etc ? I really hope everyone else is too. Hopefully next ten weeks will be good ones for us all.

KazzaL · 03/10/2008 14:32

Just got into work after my scan, have so much to do as I;ve been off for most of the week with DS, but still need to check in here first.

I resisted and i;m very proud of myself, so No2 will be of the suprise flavour.

Everything ok - head is normal size at the mo, but it could grow later - DS's was 98th percentile so i'm praying it doesn't!!!

too much talk of curry and cake for me - just had leftover thai green curry for lunch and am about to eat my choc cake

swampster · 03/10/2008 14:41

This day, I have mostly been eating... cake!

nadssss · 03/10/2008 15:01

I think we can eat cake with abandonment as apparently we should put on half of our total baby weight in the next ten weeks ? so, as I am looking at about 30 pounds gain, I can stick a stone on in the next ten weeks.

A stone of cake and curry.
