Congrats Dinkymum - boys are lovely
TBM - just read your story on the link and, even though I know a wee bit of your history, was in floods of tears. Beautiful, inspirational story.
PT - your kids sound like regular kids. As someone has already pointed out, kids seem to behave so much better for anyone who isn't their mum. My mum was shocked last week at ds's tantrum in the supermarket. He is always a little angel for her, not the shouty, snot & smoothie-covered grouch that seems to appear in my shopping trolley .
MS - hope you have arranged some "me" time for yourself. Our batteries need so much more in the way of recharging at the moment, so our partners are going to have to do a wee bit more. Had a similar talk with dh last week (after 2 band rehearsals, footie and a couple of other solo outings last week leaving me with cold-ridden ds). Sometimes I think they forget that the work of growing babies can be just as tiring as when they actually arrive! BTW, you should be able to go round the delivery suite if you want to. If you ask your mw, she will be able to give you details of how to sort it out. Think it might be part of AN classes - never went myself, so not sure what goes on.
I am in love with my new slow cooker. Got in from uni at 7 last night to perfectly cooked hot spicy meatballs . Am going to have to be seriously organised & committed this year if I'm going to keep on top of everything. That means less MN and will have to give up transcribing parish records (yes, am a local history geek) for the foreseeable future . Ho hum.......
Off to get dressed in multiple layers of clothing - it's blardy freezing and soggy outside to boot! Hope the dodgy roof tiles can last another winter. Only put the heating on when I can no longer feel my nose as it costs too much to heat draughty old Victorian money pits!
