LadyOfWaffle · 24/06/2008 13:38

Yes! All caught up I love new threads. Got my water petit I am writing off the other thread because I can't keep up, so hope everyone is doing well because I have no idea really... jeez, I am typing like I am drunk - v. tired.

LadyOfWaffle · 24/06/2008 13:40

Like all your names that are down BTW, haven't heard Saul in a while but I really like it Think it may have been down as a choice for DS.

cyteen · 24/06/2008 13:40

w00t! Not only are we the Hot Milk ladies, we're the can't-keep-our-traps-shut can-gab-for-Britain ladies Nice work TS

Okay John's torso...not so great. BUT what about a discussion on BUTTS?

OP posts:
poppysocks · 24/06/2008 14:25

I go away for 36 hours and it takes me almost as long to catch up!

Good afternoon ladies! Thanks for your thoughts yesterday. Got back v. late and had to be in work v. early but all went fine. Train actually ended up only about an hour or so late after all the scaremongering of the guard (apparently they have to give you worst case scenario now...). Funeral itself was fine too. Obviously v. sad (and I forgot tissues, which was particularly stupid), but good to see everyone and remember our friend together. Glad I went.

PMSL at Cactus and Twinkie. Must tell DH about Banjo as that's a comedy name he frequently returns to which means "I'm getting bored of discussing names AGAIN". Or maybe I shouldn't....

Sorry to hear about your spots Sarah. Sounds horrid. And sorry about all this SPD that's around. Not really sure what it is, but doesn't sound nice.

Friend finally had her little boy this morning, 16 days late . All went well though so relief all round!

ALBS - Def. August post-natal thread. You can't leave us!

poppysocks · 24/06/2008 15:11

And now you've all disappeared!

cyteen · 24/06/2008 15:13

I'm still here poppy

poppysocks · 24/06/2008 15:25

Hello cyteen!

Sausageandmash · 24/06/2008 15:26

The problem with joining you all later in the threads that I don't know everything that has gone before. Hot Milk - is this a tip, or a threat? Now, Hot Chocolate, I can deal with!

cyteen · 24/06/2008 15:29

Hot Milk = sexy nursing lingerie (yes, apparently it does exist!)

Ah yes, and there was me thinking that night time feeds were already so bursting with glamour that nothing could add any more!

TwilightSurfer · 24/06/2008 16:39

Please refer all questions regarding HOTmilk to VG. She's our SEXY roll model.

TwilightSurfer · 24/06/2008 16:41

Did anyone notice how politely I simply IGNORED the "do we join the July post-natal thread?" question???

OP posts:
VintageGardenia · 24/06/2008 16:42

I wish I had called myself CherryBomb (young, sexy, spontaneous) instead of VintageGardenia (old, fusty, staid).

poppy glad that's over for you and that it went ok.

Am thinking of having an egg sandwich for first time since was about eleven. Anyone think that's a vile idea?

dizzydixies · 24/06/2008 16:43

afternoon all - lovely new thread TS well done

have my yoga session this morning, it went very well and the girl was lovely

came all out positive about my natural birth and how well I'd cope with it all

nipped into town to return some things, quick trip to tesco then home

am pooped

got phone call from Antenatal telling me I DO in fact have gestational diabetes, with levels showing as 'significantly abnormal' so my care/consultant etc will all be changed and I have to go in on Tues morning to the diabetes clinic and for a scan

am now feeling pretty low and about to head back to Tescos to return my yoga mat - serves me right for being a smug cow and insisting I didn't need the tests done

VintageGardenia · 24/06/2008 16:43

Imagine if this is the thread on which a birth announcement is actually made!!

VintageGardenia · 24/06/2008 16:45

Oh, dizzy, ducky, for you. Why are you putting all over your post, don't be such a silly moo. Back in 2 seconds just sorting DS.

bealcain · 24/06/2008 16:47

ooo a s hiny new thread. VG we're not even averaging 2weeks per thread so me thinks not...unles my consultant agrees with me on thursday, which i very much doubt!

Can we not jsut stay on AN thread untill TS gives birth??

bealcain · 24/06/2008 16:55

on old fashioned names, my friend considered Elsie.......i love it but would never be allowed, plus not biblical so wouldn't use anyway

dizzydixies · 24/06/2008 16:58

I like Esme, Iris, Isa, Martha, Jean, Pearl for old lady names

dd2's middle name is Cecelia and now wishing I hadn't used it incase this is another girl and she could've been Cece for short

VintageGardenia · 24/06/2008 17:01

dizzy glad the yoga was nice. Why are you bringing your mat back?

Re. the GD there is a support thread here on MN which might be useful, I don't know how much you already know about it.

Buckets · 24/06/2008 17:05

Boo!
Kids have been helping themselves to cooling cakes while I've been doing Tesco shop online but I can't be arsed to do anything about it. That's dinner sorted anyway.
