Oh mini what a fab bump! Well done you for cooking that.
Hello and welcome new ladies.
Great title, really sums up how I feel, I would have added the final f*ing furlong though, as it really getting unpleasant now. My right leg keeps giving way in a rather embarrasing fashion, got Diazapam now to try to stop the muscles going into spasms. Bloody SPD. Seem to spend more of the night in the bathroom than in bed! and feel like a hippo trying to heave myself off the sofa or out of bed.
Had more bloods done today as ferritin was 7 last time. B12 dropping like a stone, but doctors a bit crap about topping it up (long story).
aaawwww DP just came to ask did I want any ice! Now have 6 ice trays in action. Settled for a hot chocolate, tiramisu and a pint of icecubes. Yummy!
Tyaca, new babies are hard work, but it really does get better. Honestly. The first 3 months or so are the hardest, and thats more due to interrupted sleep. Forget cleaning, put an note on the door saying you are asleep, get as much rest as you can. Don't feel guilty about accepting help, true friends will love to do the washing up or sitting with the baby while you have a bath. Swaddling was great.
If you are planning to breastfeed, it seems to be something people find either really easy or terribly difficult. I fell into the latter and struggled and then beat myself up for weeks when I finally gave up. I completely lost sight of the fact that I was unwell feeding and the baby was happier on formula. So it it works for you, thats fabulous, but don't waste time and emotion feeling guilty if you can't. Sorry it just I worry that everyone will feel as guilty as I did.
One thing for 1st timers that no-one told me is that it (the baby) feels like its coming out of the wrong hole, IYSWIM! Sorry if thats TMI, but I was horrified, until the midwife assured me it was normal!
Princessllama, I know where you are coming from, DD was diagnosed as milk/soya allergic after 6 horrendous weeks. I remember thinking I know babies cry but surely not THIS much. She was also allergic to me! This one is going straight onto hypo formula. Good luck, I hope you get a normal one!
Sorry its sooo long, I haven't had anyone to talk to today!
