You monkey! Just as I posted, a new thread appears! Have cut and paste lol

Good luck Aiki - thinking of you!

My dad is the best, so I am a very happy girl tonight.

Getting pains 10 mins apart here.... but keep tailing off to more like every 30 mins, so i know its not the real thing, but hopefully means little man is thinking about making an appearance!

Have slept a lot tonight, so will probably be up half the night! Still got "digestive discomfort" ffs and heartburn is HURTING BAD! Rennies are my new best friend!

Didnt have turkish delight for breakfast - went to mcdonalds instead but have just sat and scoffed some now! Still hungry though, so am off for my daily fix of Squares Salt & Vinegar crisps!

Take care all, will check in if anything happens!

RGPargy · 25/11/2007 20:44

lol Sorry Jarm!!!

Hope your DigDis eases soon. I think heartburn is more annoying tho, isn't it?!

Keep us posted if anything does happen, and i will do likewise. I have a sore bump tonight!

Sorry to interrupt ladies but it's that time of the month again! Are any of you in Merseyside and thinking about breastfeeding? Look here for details of an antenatal breastfeeding workshop this Thursday, especially for pg ladies. It's not a "sales pitch"; no one is going to try and "talk you into it"; it's more of a "how to" so that if you do go down the bf route, you'll be prepared once you've given birth.

And there's free biscuits. And tea. And coffee.

JARM · 25/11/2007 21:57

nothing happening now

have told DH despite being shattered and him being full of cold, he needs to do his duty tonight! Might get things moving!!!

RGPargy · 25/11/2007 22:27

awww Jarm. I told DP this morning that i thought sex to start off labour was a myth and that it was bound to have been made up by a man just so that he got his oats before the long dry spell!! lol

Chin up chick!!!

OP posts:
JARM · 26/11/2007 08:00

Well what a night.... i am shattered. Hardly any sleep, pains in my tummy and lower back all night. Still no baby though!

I cant even cough or bend without shooting pains, im in a right state.

Happy due date to me - NOT!!!!! I honestly thought baby would be here by now!

Will keep you posted throughout the day, but doubt anything will happen and as im in such a foul mood, it probably isnt fair to post much!!!

Pixiefish · 26/11/2007 08:20

signing in

silkcushion · 26/11/2007 09:09

Jarm - something must be happening - just a case of how quickly it moves to the next stage.

Haven't caught up for a few days but not that many new babies have arrived - I hope yr LOs are listening cos they all need to come out now. (read this out to them in a stern voice - it's bound to work)

JARM · 26/11/2007 10:13

i hope so silk.... i really do!

Im stressing a lot today anyway as DH is at his Medical for his war pension at the moment, and I cant be there with him supporting him (not ideal with 2 toddlers and being 40 weeks pregnant!)

Roll on him phoning me to go and collect him, im not good around the girls at the moment.

Will be off home straight after for a hot choc and my bed i think.

RGPargy · 26/11/2007 11:02

Morning everyone.

Jarm - sorry you've had a rubbish night. Let's hope it's leading up to something eh? Happy Due Date! Enjoy your hot choc today luv.

Pixie - Helloooooo!! Hope you and Swyn are well!!

Silk - i've been really firm with LO for ages now but she still hasn't appeared. Think she's going to be like me - rebellious and strong willed.....

Is it just me or does anyone else get pins and needles when they sleep?

I get cant comfy on my right side coz i tend to lean over to my tummy too much, and if i sleep on my back it feels like i have a lead weight in my tummy. If i lay on my left side i wake up a short time later who pins and needles in both forearms and hands! Is this normal??

Haven't got alot going on today. Will probably nip over to Toys R Us and get some cot bedding for our brand new shiny cot. Think i'll actually WALK there too (shock horror!). I'm normally really lazy and drive there, despite the fact that it's a 5 minute walk for an able bodied person!

OOh just tried to catch up with you gas bags hope aiki has her baby by now

JARM - sounds promising for you too! good luck

sam86 · 26/11/2007 12:10

rgpargy- i read that pins and needles are normal in last trimester when trying to sleep but dont know why! i just have a big bum sticking in my ribs which really hurts when lying on right side! when is your sweep booked in for? let me know how it goes! have a good time in toys r us i love it there!! its so exciting seeing the room come together isnt it? just needs one extra little person now! and hahaha it is true- i am convinced sex to bring baby on is a myth! plenty yday and still not a single sign!

jarm- sounds like things are moving in the right direction! v ! keep us posted, am excited!! happy due date!!

aiki- good luck! hope your little bundle is well and truly on their way out by now!!

LOM- thanks that would be great! must be brilliant to be able to get advice off them all(or maybe an overload of it!?)- cant wait for my friends to have kids so i can talk to them bout it more!

loopy- i will be asking tomorrow to check how much effaced i am then (prob not the right way of putting that!)! just want to know that i am actually going in the right direction as dont seem to have any signs that baby is coming out anytime soon. i agree about getting as much info as poss!

am goin to buy a tens today- with any luck she might turn up today too!40+3 and v unhappy will be seeing the MW tomorrow as nice as she is (was sure shed be out by now)! knowing my luck if i hire it even on next day delivery she will decide to turn up before it comes! (maybe thats an incentive to hire it then . . . .!)

have any of you been to those BF classes Mossy was talking about? Might go if im not in labour on thurs (who am i kiddin!?) but its in Whiston- dont usually stray from the comfort of liverpool lol!there is free biscuits tho .. . .hehe

oh and liking the new title! lol! x

fiona76 · 26/11/2007 12:12

Photos are on profile

Breast feeding is going realy well my boobs are massive and hard today so hopefully she will want to feed lots. I have G cups and Anabel is only 6 pounds and has a tiny face so it looks at bit weird but she is coping well bless her.

sam86 · 26/11/2007 12:18

aww she is absolutley gorgeous!!! so cute! glad to hear the BF is going well too!

how was the birth?x

RGPargy · 26/11/2007 12:23

Sam - Sweep's booked in for Friday. I'm due tomorrow so i'll be 40+3 by then. I've had lots of tightenings this morning so i'm hoping that i wont need to see her on that date. I'm relieved to have got this far tho because the MW who wants to deliver me (home water birth) wasn't available last week but can come this week onwards and has given me her mobile number to ring her on when things start to happen. How cool is that!!! If you want to use the TENS then hurry up and buy it!! Sooner the better in case your baby comes before you get it!!

Glad that it's normal re the pins and needles. Phew, i'm a little less worried now.

Haven't been to any BF classes. Will probably go when/if i get into trouble with it or when i'm feeling lonely and need some company lol.

Fiona - Annabel is gorgeous!!!

sam86 · 26/11/2007 12:37

if you make it to fri let me know what it was like for you! ive read that some people hated it and some people didnt think it was that bad but only lasts a few seconds! dp isnt v keen on it tho (he was jealous/not happy when i had to have the early scans with the internal thing rather than just on stomach!god knows how he will cope with a load of midwives/docs lookin down there when am in labour!have tried to explain to him it is v far from sexual/erotic!) so am gonna wait till next week to get one i think if baby not here by then.

am goin to boots as soon as dp gets in (prob will end up spending far too much - why cant i go in there and just get what i wanted!?)! think i need a tens right now back is sore!

thats brilliant bout your MW, and baby staying put to wait for her! will be really nice to have baby at home! (am not quite brave enough tho!)

RGPargy · 26/11/2007 12:52

Sam - why on EARTH is your DP jealous/not happy when you had the internal scan????? I had to have two scans like that too and it didn't bother DP at all. His only concern was that i was not in any discomfort!

I wasn't brave enough to have DS at home either, but i was only 22 at the time (i'm 39 now) and very uneducated about pregnancy and childbirth (no internet). Nowadays tho going to the hospital is the LAST thing i want to happen!!

Right, must go and sort my hair out and nip waddle to Toys R Us.

Loopy - i'm not brave enough for hospital either now!!

Let's hope you're on your way, Jarm!! Sounds promising!

OP posts:
JARM · 26/11/2007 14:59

Still here.... still nothing exciting!

Have had a kip, but still feel like death warmed up, am so so tired and my bump just HURTS so much, my dad keeps phoning to see im ok, which is nice but bloomin annoying at the same time - he's our babysitter for labour so im sure i will call him when i need to!!

Honestly thought i would kick off today at the latest, but think its more likely to be the end of the week now - will be typical as picking up the new car saturday morning!

sam86 · 26/11/2007 15:44

haha that is sods law jarm - am betting on saturday now for your lo!! are you getting contractions now or just pains?

rgpargy- i have no idea- he is crazy! it was a man who did a couple of them (think we had to have about 3 or 4 early internal ones) n he just doesnt like anyone else going "down there" lol, but was just happy all was ok with baby more than anything.

on going to hospital - i am going where the drugs are tbh! just in case i cant cope !though im hoping il be suprised by what i can handle plus if i had a birthing pool at home the dog would end up thinking it was a swimming pool and would never get him out . . .! admire people who can do it!

JARM · 26/11/2007 15:51

just in pain all the time now - no contractions..... they will start up again tonight no doubt.

Its the joy of trying to sleep - not sleeping at night because things are happening, but then they tail off and I end up shattered because I havent slept!

My money is on saturday now too!

littleoldme · 26/11/2007 15:52
