JARM · 01/11/2007 20:46

no worries mate - when you can! xxx

choudru · 01/11/2007 20:58

Ooooh congrats to Anna!!!!!!

Can't believe she thought labour wasn't as bad as she expected. I hope I feel the same whenever it's my turn!

LOM - what a scare! Glad to hear the risks are minimal and you must be pretty chuffed to be 3/5. You're only 1/5 behind me then and you're due 4 weeks later!

RG - your hair looks very glam ;) Good thinking ot get it done in advance for your post baby photos. I can't be bothered getting mine done because it's going to end up scraped back in a scrunchie whether I have a haircut or not.

And very freaky phone call - I'd feel a little violated (in the mildest sense of the word) that someone could be trying to get to my personal information. Glad you didn't give anything away.

Silk - sounds like at least something is happening to move things along. Hope LO pops out before induction...

Choc - where on earth did you find the energy to do that shop? It sounds like a dream day to me but I can't walk for longer than 2-3 mins without getting pelvic pain. Walked 5 mins to the post box today and on the 5 min walk back, I had to shuffle along taking baby steps because my back was killing.

JARM - I want some apple crumble sulk

Jinxed - it's awful having to rely on someone who isn't 100% themselves. DH has had a bit of a cold this week and it's so much harder to ask him to do things because I know under different circumstances, I would be looking after him. Make sure you let him know how much you appreciate what he does for you. He'll feel all loved up

Aiki - what a fab idea! You should post a photo!

Me off to read in the bath so that I can stop thinking about when my LO is going to arrive. Have had another day of irregular BH. Am trying not to get fed up - I'm still 39+6 so there are still 27 hours left before I am overdue and can start getting really peed off.

LK2boyzma · 01/11/2007 21:04

Evening all,

YAY and CONGRATULATIONS to Anna! Thanx to you buzzybee for passing the messages on.

Gotta watch 'trading spouses' any1 hooked on this too?

empen · 01/11/2007 21:05

Can I be re-added to the list as I am having my C/sec on Tuesday 6th - little Boy

silkcushion · 01/11/2007 23:20

Buzzy - thanks for letting us know about Anna and her little girl. Lovely news send them our love.

Jarm - I LOVE apple crumble - I need to come to yr house for tea!

Choudru and Choc - sending you birthing vibes - I reckon you 2 need them next.

Have been out for a chinese for my birthday (dh said what's the point as I have the runs?) But I've still had the pleasure of eating it. Then went for a 45 min walk (waddle) to see if the contractions would establish a pattern. Seemed to but now I'm home and resting they've calmed down a bit . Flippin mw has got my hopes up! Shall go to sleep and see if I wake up with a baby tomorrow

superloopy · 02/11/2007 02:17

Congratulations pixie...didn't want to leave you unanswered.

sarahloumadam · 02/11/2007 07:27

Congrats Anna and Pixie - lots of lovely girls! You next Silk!

Finally the morning of the move so just quickly signing on before our phone line goes down. Went to see the house yesterday and it was lurverly! Heard lots of horrible stories about new builds and developers but have to say that so far (touch wood) have been v.impressed with ours. And they pulled all the stops out to get us in a week earlier than expected due to the bump (I think he is quite comfy in there and will be for a while longer but no need to tell them that!).

LOM - I love reading too and hoping that I'll still get some book time once the LO has arrived . Sorry to hear about your liver scare and glad they were able to reassure you.

RG & Choc - pampering at this stage is a must I have found! Felt frivilous getting new winter coat and scarf the other day (bought in normal size, just wearing open) and immediately felt soooo much better as had been sculking about in scabby old coat. I intend to get a haircut too as I doubt I will have the inclination afterwards for a while.

JARM - welcome back! I sometimes worry about RL snoopers but they would have a lot of chat to wade thru so would have to have a lot of time on their hands!

Aiki - cool costume idea! We have been invited to a party this Sat and I wanted to go as a pumpkin (not brave enough to expose my tummy tho - was just going to find an orange top and stick some green leaves on my head!) but with the move and everything, don't think we will make it. Pics please.

Good luck with the c/section Empen!

Who was it said they had the hots for Gordon Ramsay? I had a crush on him at one point but I am fickle and now gone off him but wasn't he lovely to that restaurant owner the other night "hey, don't cry" awwwwwww - maybe my feelings could be rekindled .

Anyway, must go. See you all next week. Hoping to see lots of new babies on the list!
x

ChocolateHobnob · 02/11/2007 07:35

Congratulations Anna and Pixie! Two new girls. Soooo exciting!!!

Sarah, a new coat sounds soooo good... I have been eyeing coats up but decided to wait till I see if I'm still the same size once lo is here! I'm scared I may be rather fatter than before!

Silk - it sounds like it's just about there!! Lots of luck.

Choudru, my energy/capacity surprises me somewhat too. I am naturally quite lazy, ie I don't go in for long country walks and don't do sport, but this pregnancy has made me alternately sleepy and full of energy. Physical energy that is - I'm mentally shattered from lack of sleep.

Empen, good luck with the c-section and look forward to hearing about your lo!

Well, another crap night's sleep for me. Today will be spent vegging and choosing pressies for people online. Probably popping in and out of here a bit... have a good day!

JARM · 02/11/2007 07:46

YAY for Pixie!!! COngratulations!!!

4 boys, 3 girls.... you girls are catching up!

RGP - do an updated list will ya mate!!!

Im feeling sick sick sick today - not sure whats up, but have had an awful night, was up at least once an hour, and didnt really feel like I slept in between.

Dad is coming over tonight to help take the pressure off me and DH as Im not well and he is obviously incapacitated, so will be nice to have someone else cook and wash up lol - is 3yr old DD too young to learn!? (JOKE!)

Hope you all havea good day and congrats to all you new mummies out there - im jealous and want to join you NOW!!!

Apple crumble was lovely! Making another one for tonight i think! Latest craving is southern fried chicken bites though..... not such a healthy combination, but darn it - ive only got 3 weeks left, may as well take advantage of looking like a house!

littleoldme · 02/11/2007 08:04

Pixie and Anna Massive congratulations to you both, MWahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

Jarm - Glad you've been able to remove the false beard and dark glasses. Hope your DH feels brighter soon. It must be hard work for you. I'm with Choudru on showing the Dh how much you appreciate him front. The other night mine had had long shitty day at work and come home and finsihed the decorating. He looked so pleased when i bought wine and chocs without any prompting[Grin]

Choc - Sounds like you had a fantastic shopping day. Well done. I don't have another lunch planned for today but I am meeting a friend for coffee after having my eyebrows done

RG - Well done on the fab new hair do. Photo please.

Choudru - Sending lots of labour vibes your way. You shouldn't have said you like apple crumble! We have three apple trees in our garden and every year dh chops and stews the fruit and we have apple crumble till it's coming out of ears. I always surreptitiously give a few bags away when he's not looking. Expect a sackful next year, It'll give you something to work off at pramercise.

Sarah - It is me who has the hots for Gordon Ramsay. I didn't see Kitchen n mares as Spooks was on but there was a Hell's kitchen double bill on Tues. Gord brought his Mum along and was so lovely to her that now my affection for him knows no limit.
Your house sounds fabulous. Good luck with the move.

ELB1 · 02/11/2007 08:12

Congrats Pixie and Anna!! How lovely.

silkcushion · 02/11/2007 09:38

Congratulations Pixie - I bet she was worth the wait

Am v envious - the baby I ordered for breakfast didn't arrive! Woke with intermittent contractions all night but still not gone into labour. Am trying reflexology now (well at lunchtime) to see if I can kickstart anything.

Gordon R is sexy - not sure why but he just is.

littleoldme · 02/11/2007 09:43

Silk - It's that simmering look he has in his eyes. You can tell that whatever he's saying, he's thinking something filthy. Christian Slater is the same. I think perhaps I should not have shared that thought

silkcushion · 02/11/2007 09:46

lol lom. Yes I agree i just imagine he'd be good in bed (or kitchen or over the dining room table - wherever really )

How's the itching and the liver probs? Have you had yr blood test results back yet?

FCH · 02/11/2007 09:48

How exciting - two actual November babies already!! Congratulations to Pixie and Anna. Fingers crossed for today Silk!!

RG - brilliant about the new haircut - don't think about it as £100 for one haircut, think of it as about 10p for everytime you will look at your newborn pictures and be glad you had it done!! I always justify expensive items of clothing on a "cost per wear" basis, and as you wear a haircut everyday etc I think it is a most economical investment By the way, On the phone security front I have had a few calls like that recently "hello are you FCH, could we ask you some security questions please". I always say no and tell them if they really are representing my bank / phone company or whoever then they have my address and can write to me. One of them freaked me out the other day though when they phoned up saying they were from my phone company, but said they were calling from a company I cancelled my account with last year... Obviously scammers of some sort but they had such a lot of information and it took me a couple of minutes to remember I'm not with that phone company any more!

By the way - RG and Choudru, you are obviously very considerate to be taking kettles upstairs and flasks of tea etc - I was planning to kick DH out of bed to make me tea - is that bad?

Loopy - have a brilliant time with the gorgeous mini-loopys in Wales. I love the pink ear defenders idea! I will not be requiring ear defenders - I will be standing in the noisiest place I can find in the hope that all the noise will get the baby moving!!

Aiki - brilliant halloween costume, although shame that the party was a bit of a disappointment!!

JARM - take some of your own medicine and do go and sit down with your feet up. Brilliant that your dad can come and help while your DH is incapacitated, so enjoy it - in a few weeks you won't have the same sympathy from them you know...

Muckers - it sounds as though your LO is really wedged in. Good luck with the turning, and keep remembering that one way or another it will all be over quite soon!

Empen - good luck with the section - can't wait to hear about the new baby!

Sarah - I cannot believe that we still have crazy housemovers in NOVEMBER. Fingers crossed for the smoothest ever housemove, it sounds as though it will be a fab place to be with your new baby!

So - today I am officially overdue and will be joining Honeyapple and ChocolateHobnob in the "right, come on then you're late" corner. [sulk emoticon] Choudru - good luck with the next 14 hours, or we'll see you there tomorrow...

mrsjetson · 02/11/2007 10:57

Morning Ladies!!

First of all - not too happy about this new look website!! I carefully typed 2 really long messages and they disappeared!!!! I gave up in the end!

CONGRATULATIONS to Pixie and Anna - wow I cannot believe that we are nearly there. I have just made an appt with the Consultant for next Thurs - 1 day after my due date to see about induction as DH has to leave the UK on the 19th! Obviously I'm hoping for it to all happen before that! I have my hair appt this afternoon - the weekend is booked solid with friends, lunches etc - I'm trying my best to do this so as I have to cancel!!!!

Before I lose this message too - I shall love you and leave you all........good luck to all. Silk, haven't been able to track what is going on with you but good luck xxx

JARM · 02/11/2007 11:39

Well I went back to bed

Am still feeling rotten, but at least I managed an hour before DD1 woke me up with "mummy i had toast!"

Hoping thinks kick off soon silk.... must be so frustrating!

Take care all xxx

FCH - What a great analogy at spending £100! I will deffo carry that one in my mind. Yes, £100 was deffo justified! And your poor DH being kicked out of bed to make tea!!! Use a flask.

Silk - fingers crossed that something happens very soon for you. You're being very patient!

Well, i have the lovely job of going to the tip with DS today. I have been given strict instructions to not lift anything (suits me fine!) so i will be just driving DS there and back and lording it over him by telling him what to do lol. Think we need to go at least twice, if not three times. We have so much crap out the back it's untrue!

Have a relaxing morning ladies! See you after the tip runs! (bleugh! )
