Jarm - ooooo sounds promising, although it's a little too early for LO to appear really!

Sparkly - sorry Callum has to have his tube again. What a bummer Fingers crossed it's not for too long.

nykate · 15/10/2007 17:03

It's so difficult to keep up with y'all!

I'm so relieved to hear that others are getting BHs and twinges. I spent Fri night in bed with contraction-like feelings that were coming pretty much in a timely rhythm and was feeling quite panicky. I don't have my bag packed! Maybe ignoring the fact that I'm having a baby isn't the best strategy . They lasted for a few hours, but never got stronger, so I finally relaxed. Glad it's normal...I don't remember having BH with DDs or at least thinking anything about it.

SGK- So sorry to hear Callum needs his tube again. Hopefully it won't be for too long.

JARM · 15/10/2007 17:04

awwww sparkly - just as we thought things were going so well.

Fingers crossed the tube will be out real soon..... am praying for you both.

RGP - it is a little early yet, so a few more weeks will put my mind at rest, i am determined he will be a november baby - its DD2's 2nd birthday next week so need to get that out of the way first!

LizzieO · 15/10/2007 17:35

Hello all

quick hello before i leave work for the day, only two more days b4 mat leave OMG !!!!!

Have finally cleared out babys room, tho' its full to brim of baby stuff, funny i now have a feelin that this LO is going to come late as DS came 8 weeks early, am 37 weeks on Weds, so am going to try and kick start things moving IYKWIM

RG - you go girl !!! think your LO is going to be a born raver...literally, PS "didn;t know how you used to stay up till 6.00am" hmmm think i might have a clue LOL

anyways sometime i have to pinch myself and think OH MY GOD I'M GOING TO HAVE A BABY"
anyone else get these moments of realisation

littleoldme · 15/10/2007 17:36

Sparkly - What a great picture. They both look different but soooo perfect. I want one
Sorry he has to have tube again. This is being a real rollercoaster - lots of love to you all.

RG - Sounds like you suffer for your art. I hope you were well stocked with Wispas. You should get yourself I swimming cossie; I only manage about ten lengths these days but it makes me feel so much better.

RG/Jarm I'm due at the end of the month too so I'll join in the race. Hopefully I won't be left here talking to myself

Been to physio today which was an event. I went to the building I was told to go to but there was no one on info and no sign pointing to Physio. The fourth person I asked too me there which involved two flights of stairs, a door marked restricted access and another with a big sighn sayin 'Here be Dragons'.. you get the picture. It's a physio dept FFS not an episode of the krypton factor. Needless to say that there was a more simple route but no signs directing me there. Anyway, it was useful appointment so I didn't mind too much.

littleoldme · 15/10/2007 17:37

I really must proofread these messages. Hard to believe I'm an English teacher eh

iris66 · 15/10/2007 19:01

Sparkly - and hope Callum will be off the tube soon.

Choudru - long time no post (unusual for you ) hope everything's ok

Having a chilled evening tonight after the early start and frenetic cleaning (I feel pretty zoned out TBH) hoping for a full night's sleep for us all

fiona76 · 15/10/2007 20:35

Just watched eastenders- is it weird that I found Ian with stubble strangely sexy????

Evening girlies!

Lizzie - I really dont know what you mean! [polishes halo] Hmmm maybe in the very early days i had some "assistance" (), but the last 5 years or so has been through sheer stamina and i've had to stay awake "eau naturel" due to me being the driver! Oh and yes, i also get those realisation moments when i think "F*CK!!!!!! I'm gonna have a BABY!!!!"

LOM - What can i say, i just love the buzz of playing in front of a crowd - large or small! Unfortunately i only managed to get 2 Wispas (i didn't wanna look greedy) but the woman who served me in the service station said "blimey, you've only got 2?!" which made me a bit that people must be stock piling them! Will deffo get with the swimming tho. I did it with DS and i do remember feeling nice afterwards.

Fiona - You've actually CONFESSED that???!!! On HERE?!!! OMG you must be absolutely barmy. I thought Ian Beale with stubble actually looked wrong. It looked like it was stuck on with glue!! He's so pathetic. No wonder Phil and Grant keep pounding him lol!!

Does anyone else take about 5 minutes to go from sitting to standing? When i stand up (normally after a long stint sitting on my backside) i get a real heavy feeling in my fanjo area and have to wait until the pressing/dragging feeling goes away before i can continue. Is it just me or do you get that too?

OP posts:
JARM · 15/10/2007 21:27

RGP - getting that too! I tell ya, my fanjo will be in tatters after this one, im sure of it!

Whens your next ante-natal? Ill bet you are already engaged too.... its that dragging feeling down there that means baby is right down.

Little man has not stopped moving ALL DAY today, and still no let up, i just cant get comfortable.

On the plus side, just sent DH to McDonalds for a toffee sundae for me, only the 3rd one in as many days! (I blame pregnancy cravings!)

LK2boyzma · 15/10/2007 22:21

Hello all,

Hope everyone is well or should I say coping with their last few days! Congrats to those who have started their A/L

RG- Two days to go (envy) hey, am counting down with you!

iris66- I have not managed to catch up properly with the rest of the days that I have missed but I managed to get the bit about your DC's eczema. My DS has/had that too,and I have only maintained him with goat milk and milk products. He uses Eparderm ointment to wash and moisturise as well (has a tub kept at school too). Coming into contact with grass sets it off, especially behind his legs, so he has to wear long trousers when he plays outside and I have also sent some jogging bottoms for him to use at school too.
now its well under control. BuT I am quite interested in the homeopathy remedies that you have been using if it's not too much to ask! (blush)

KaylaBmummy · 15/10/2007 22:36

Hi Just a quick catch up and hello Feeling much better today, ankle gone down and pottering round house tidying as DH home from Ship tomorrow . Really had a good day today so hope this week is going to be a good one .

I am still having the BH tightenings too. Midwife called for a check today and said head was really low and engaged so if im lucky LO may come early and I could end this sicky pregnancy on a high,.

Thanks for all your kind words and concerns carried out your advice about Wispa and bought a 4 pack today just to make sure I was fully recovered . Also have you tried the new Fruit and Nut Toblerone, LOVELY!!!!
Off to bed now, so take care all, speak tomorrow

RGPargy · 15/10/2007 23:18

Jarm - Is that what the dragging feeling is?!! I've had it for a good couple of weeks at least now. This LO must be impatient and is getting ready already (hopefully not before 38 weeks!). My next antenatal isn't til 31st October. The MW did say she couldn't feel a head at the last appointment, although she put this down to my scar tissue and as LO was breech at the appointment before that, she has booked me in for a scan at 37 weeks to check LO's presentation. Yay i get to see baby again!!

LK - hang in there - you finish at the end of this week dont you? Not long now!!

Kayla - you sound so much chirpier tonight! So pleased you are feeling much better and are recovering from your fall. I knew the Wispas would help you on the road to recovery in no time. Great news re DH coming home tomorrow - am really excited for you!!!

Right, am off to beddy-byes now. N'night all, see you tomorrow.

AnnainNZ · 16/10/2007 04:15

Just posting to get this on my threads I'm on. Also to say that I just realised today if they induce me at 40 weeks that is 2 WEEKS ON SUNDAY! EEEEEEEEK! Far too soon! Mind you, dr hasn't mentioned induction lately and my bp is holding very steady so hopefully not.

Hope you're all well. How's Callum doing SGK?

ChocolateHobnob · 16/10/2007 06:54

Hi all

Sorry to hear about Callum. He's such a little fighter, though, it'll be no time before the tube is off again. He's adorable Sparkly, and you're coping so well. Hugs from me for him and you!

Hi everyone else! I'm a zombie today and brain isn't computing well what everyone said.

Anna - hope you don't need to be induced. I really don't want to be induced and I sort of fear I will since so many 1st babies are..

Kayla, hurrah! Maybe you will avoid induction/c-section too!

RG, have you recovered from your mad Saturday night jaunt??

Littleoldme, swimming sounds lovely. I meant to swim this pregnancy and simply havent had time.

NYKate, sounds like it was nearly happening on Friday! Good luck!

Hello Choudru - thinking of you too, since you're quiet.

Loopsy, how are you? still set for home birth?

I had a bad day yesterday - came back from work early utterly exhausted, sick and headachey, and just lay on the bed for hours. I didn't sleep last night so feel very similar today, but I still have another few days of work (mentalist is the right word, RG!!!). Today am skiving off late morning to meet some people for coffee in town. Tomorrow is midwife again. I'm just tidying up odds and ends, writing references, etc; it isnt hard work. Which is good as I've suddenly become exhausted! And I'm 38 weeks tomorrow!

OK, wish me lots of luck in getting through today better than yesterday. And hugs to all of you!

silkcushion · 16/10/2007 07:42

Hobnob - can't you finish early today as you don't feel well? You mustn't overdo it. I don't think i could work now cos of the exhaustion and I'm not feeling ill!

Kayla - glad it all sounds better.

Anna - sounds promising on the bp front - maybe the resting is working? I see M this afternoon - so we'll see what's ahppened to mine. If a day at a spa yetserday doing feck all didn't help then I'm sure nothing will!

littleoldme · 16/10/2007 09:00

Loopy - glad to know there will be someone to keep me company t'il the bitter end. It'll be you, me and a mega pack of Wispas!

RG - It must be nice that PG hasn't stopped you doing the things you enjoy - and only powered by 2 Wispas!!!

Choc - I can't believe you are still at work You must be completely cabbaged. I hope you feel better today.

Fiona- that is very weird

Silk - hope the spa day was fun.

This morning I lay in bed c'os it was warm, cosy and I could. I felt like a teenager on saturday morning again. The feeling of there being nothing I have to do is wonderful. I feel very mellow.... little floats off on a cloud to ga ga land

sparklygothkat · 16/10/2007 10:27

well it seems that Callum isn't latching on properably. yesterday when i was checking the site of the tube (involves pulling up milk and testing it with Ph paper)i noticed that there was blood in his tummy, when I checked my nipples he has grazed one. He also pulled the tube out last night, so waiting for the HV to come to insert a new one, and she will be checking his latch too.

LizzieO · 16/10/2007 11:26

Morning all

SGK - Good luck with Callum and his latching on, give him a squeeze from me

Little - i know exactly what you mean, but sincing having DS that feeling of a glorious sleepy lie in is history - even if you do get a rare lie in you lie there feeling guilty about all the stuff you should be doing

Kayla - Hope your recovered the fall sounds nasty, i actually just fell off my office chair as i was bending down to get something and was too lazy too get off of my sizeable arse, so gravity kind of took over, luckily just my pride was hurt

Fiona - Pregancy must be doing strange things to you......Ian Beale NO
having said that i was watching an old episode of Minder the other night and was thinking that the young Dennis Waterman was once a bit of a looker (think he's gone doen the false teeth route as he now has a bit of a weird smile) Any one else have any guilty secrets in the weird attractiosn category

RG - i totally know what you mean, takes me an hour and a half to commute into and out of work, when i get out of car to stand up i feel like my insides are gonna fall out, i'm really feeling the pressure now of being heavily pregnant - Plus keep foretting to kind of hold myself in when i cough, so everynow and then have a small accident

Chocolate - take it easy gurl !

Choudru - where are you ?

Lxxxx

ahmina · 16/10/2007 11:38

hi everyone just need a bit off advice i am having my 3rd baby in november (hooorah) but i have got brown pigments on my face i never suffered with tem in my last 2 pregnancys so i was wondering if any one knew why i would get them now many thanks ahmina

iris66 · 16/10/2007 11:46

Fiona - step back from the TV! it's clearly doing you no good at all!!! Though I have to admit he does look better with facial hair (but more like a young Jeremy Beadle IMO{shudder} yeuch!)

LK2boyzma - I see a homeopath regularly with him and am hopoing to get him referred to St Thomas' in London where they have a huge allergy clinic. I use Nelsons urtical cream when he's really itchy. He's on Gammaderm cream mostly as he's allergic to anything parrafin/petroleum based (it's evening primrose, had to get it prescribed)It's a bit of a constant battle to find things he can eat as he can't have any dairy (inc goat/sheep) egg/poultry, sesame (anaphylaxis)fruit, peas/beans or much wheat - so much for long term bf helping Just hope he'll grow out of them in time.

iris66 · 16/10/2007 11:51

ahmina - hi there and congratulations on your impending addition
I'm on my third pg too and don't have the brown pigment this time but did last - all round my jaw it looked like a 5 o'clock shadow and I hated it. I can only think it's just a ramndom hormonal thing (bit like the rest of the pg symptoms) mine faded over the first few months after I delivered so I wouldn't worry too much. Sorry I can't be of more help.

littleoldme · 16/10/2007 11:53

Sparkly - Hope Callum is feeding better soon.

Lizzie - I know it won't last, that's why I'm enjoying so much now.

ahmina- welcome to the throng. As far as I know some pigmentation in pg is normal..
