Hi all... I am from the October thread! Was due on 27th...

Can I hang out here? Hopefully not for long though!

ChocolateHobnob · 01/11/2007 10:59

Have fun Loopy! Sounds like a great weekend.

Honey, hi! I hang out on Oct and Nov - my due date is/was 31 Oct so always suspected would be a November baby.

LOM, I've got a lunchdate too. And a date with the shops just for me. This time I AM going to hit Moda in Pelle and Dune. I need retail therapy to comfort me for going past my due date. Then I will have coffee and cake somewhere civilised and then come home.

Hugs to all!

Easywriter · 01/11/2007 11:22

Hi everyone,

I'm v. happy today (just so you know there's no whinging to follow!). MW has just dropped off my birth pool. I was getting a bit worried as I'm 38+3 but she said that she'd just delayed given that Marnie had been in the wrong position and so thought having the pool in the corner winking at me might be messing with my head. Bless her!

Also, dd's pumpkin carving efforts won 2nd prize in the under 5's at the halloween party in or park last. So proud [hgrin][hwink].

Loopy - Cool about the new and old sofa's. Sounds very confy your house. Oh! Where to snooze.

Fiona76 - Know that waking up covered in dribble scenario well of late. So elegant mais non!? Isn't there a Home and Away omnibus on saturday or sunday? (seem to remember my lovely sister watching one, she's a HUGE H&A fan). If there is there's just enough time to buy some chocolate, disconnect the phone and get comfy! Yes, I am suggesting you down tools from now until the end of the omnibus!

Silk - Poo and plop! It will happen hon. It's so hard to be patient isn't it? Could you book yourself into a spa or beauty parlour for a bit of pampering to help take your mind off it for an hour or two?

Sarahloumadam + Choudru - I'm so predictably cheerful these days that DP practically skips up the garden path whooping with joy at the thought of the happy lady awaiting him - not! I dislike it though it's one symptom I'd happily be rid of and not just for my sake. Poor chaps!

Pixiefish + Anna - Good vibes to you!

ELB1 - Oh yeah I know those odd feelings in the nether regions! I'm getting those too. So weird but I'm loving it knowing that labour and delivery draws ever closer! [hgrin] Also, I recall that it took me until the day I officially left work for good (when the girls were almost a year old) for me to feel comfortable about not being at work and being at home. Everybody's different, this is just your response, I don't think you've left too early. Write a to do list of things you like to do (even if some of them sound s bit outrageous or bonkers), then ask yourself why you can't do them. It's always nice to cross a few of the 'things I'd like to do before I get old' things off your list and it may be particularly ace to do some before becoming a mummy!

Chocolate - What a lovely thing to do last night! Brownie points for hubby aplenty!

RG - I'm sure your hair will be picture perfect as it always seems to be given the photographic evidence.
I've turned my attention to grooming (under the guise of looking good in the photo's after MArnie's here) as I'm So impatient!

Loopy - Have a good weekend!

Honeyapple - Welcome to the impatient ladies club. What have you got planned for this birth. Home? Hospital? etc etc. Sorry, we're all (hope you don't mind me generalising on your behalf ladies) v. nosey!

Easywriter · 01/11/2007 11:24

Awww! No more hats (or am I doing it wrong?).

Sorry my post was so long.

jetgirl · 01/11/2007 11:34

Silk - I think the runs is meant to be a sign of impending labour so don't be too down, the end is in sight!

Thanks for letting us know about Anna, Buzzy, and about Pixie, Yorkie.

choudru - I've had a similar idea about the night feeds - I'll be taking a flask of tea to bed with me every evening, we're not that far from the kitchen though, I'm just lazy!

DH didn't buy pumpkins yesterday, so instead we made Halloween themed biscuits with the kids (I have a cookie cutter set which I got from lakeland, it contains 101 cutters! Brilliant for entertaining the children!) It was a lot of fun, and much less messy, and tbh I prefer biscuits to pumpkin

Am very annoyed with DH because he has decided to take the computer back to the PCDoctor as it keeps shutting down when he is playing one of his geeky games. It's going on Saturday and won't be back till Thursday!!! I'm going to miss loads of births, and how will I waste my time when DD is at nursery

Don't know about you lot, but the first thing I said when I woke up this morning was 'I'm having a baby this month!'

Have a good day all

superloopy · 01/11/2007 13:24

Hey jetgirl I had the same semi-freak out thought today too. "I'm having a baby this month..." OMG!!

I think I am equally excited and scared! I just want the whole birth bit to pass by me super fast and have my beautiful little man!

FCH · 01/11/2007 13:25

Hello everyone.

Isn't it odd that it is finally November? I did almost exactly the same as Jetgirl when I woke up this morning and thought, well I will be a mother by next month (aaaarrrggghhh panic...) It is so exciting that after all these weeks and weeks of waiting and worrying and envying other people having their babies it is our turn now!!

Not that mine is showing any sign of arriving any time soon but I see there are exciting signs afoot that there will be more November thread babies very soon indeed

muckers · 01/11/2007 13:44

Hi All

The wanderer returns, now 37.3 weeks pregnant and suffering badly with backache and heartburn for the last 5 weeks.
Scanned at 35 and 37 weeks as baby is breech and his head is jammed in between my rib cage. Scan measurements indicate that he is already 7.1 pounds although not sure how accurate that is. Going into Poole hospital tomorrow for a ECV.
The baby list sure has grown since I last posted then I shouldn't be suprised really it was months ago. Finished work nearly 2 weeks ago and still haven't finished packing my hospital bag, although will have to do it today incase I end up having an emergency C Section if anything goes wrong tomorrow. I really hope they can turn him as he is giving me right jip, cant sit up straight for more than a few mins which is one of the main reasons for not posting, as I find it to uncomfortable to sit at the computer for more than a few minutes.
Will go back now and catch up on some of the threads/discussions over the last few weeks.
Catch ya later
Muckers

LK2boyzma · 01/11/2007 14:41

Hie all,

Good vibes to all (Anna, Pixie and anyone else that I might have missed out on.

I have been lurking about as well waiting for more babies to come, just could not bring myself to post. Everyone seems so busy doing some cooking, freezing and getting out and about. Good for you ladies, can't bring myself to do all that. Am in a pig sty at the moment coz I'm waiting for DH to be off so he can help me out.

I am 37weeks tomorrow and my LO has been 3/5 engaged for the past two visits to the MW, so I am feeling good about that. WHen I asked her about the chances of him disengaging, she said I will have to stand on my head all day for that to happen, so fingures crossed, he stays put!

Like everyone who's feeling that the end is nigh, now that nov has begun, my DS said that this morning as i was getting him ready for school. He said "wow mummy its the 1st of Nov today, how many more days before the baby comes" Bless him, I did not expect that to be in his mind at all.
Then the million dollar ? follwed, how are they (doctors) going to get the baby out then???? (blush)

RG- I remember reading something about a dream you had being in Aussiey but having the wrong equipment for the gig! PMSL about that! And i hope your DS does well in his next H&S tests. Good luck vibes his way!

Have a good day all, school run duties call

ELB1 · 01/11/2007 14:49

Hi there all

Sounds like we all woke up this morning thinking about it being November already. I've done a sneaky thing today and lurked about on the due in July 08 thread bringing back my memories of just finding out I was pg - so sweet.

Thanks btw to Easy - what a fab idea. I'm going off now to start thinking of my list.

jetgirl · 01/11/2007 15:35

Just got back from MW - baby pointing the right way but is back to back, grrr. Also not engaged so I feel like I'm ages away from birth now. So I just had to go to a shop called Sweet Candy Heaven for a pick and mix and a Wispa Feel a bit better now, will go and make toad in the hole for tea and clean the floor!

RGPargy · 01/11/2007 16:18

Afternoon ladies!

Well i'm back from the hairdressers, after being in there for nearly 4 hours!!! Turns out that it was a bigger job than anticipated as they had to do a colour correct on my hair to enable me to go from red to blonde. But it is now very blonde, very short and looks fahhhhhhbooluss!! And so it should do for £97!!!

While i was in the hairdressers i had a really weird phone call. Someone calling from a mobile number said "hello is that RGPargy?" and i said yes. They then said "oh i'm calling from Preston on a personal business matter, can you just confirm your address for me please?" Now this meant NOTHING to me so i asked them to clarify who they were because i had no idea who they were. He said "oh we've spoken many times before, i'm calling from Preston". Alarm bells were ringing big stylee so i told him that i had no idea who he was and that it wasn't a convenient time to talk in any event. I then hung up. Really weird. I'm really grateful that i was at the hairdressers when they rang because when you're out you're a bit more aware of the world and have your wits about you a bit more whereas if i'd have been at home, i might have fallen for it. I'm sure it's some sort of security scam. [worried] What is worrying me the most is how they knew my name. Erk! Beware ladies!

Choudru - very good idea re the kettle. I might do the flask thing tho so that my tea is ready made.

ELB - I know what you mean re being bored. I'm also quite bored at home too, but there's no way i could have faced another day at work. The commute was doing me in! I could be doing housework, but tbh, i find that boring and the slightest exertion knackers me out lately! Mind you, i've not had a good lie in for a while now so maybe that's why.... As for strange feelings in the fanjo, feels like she's either headbutting me or punching me down there - not sure which!!

Choc - ahhhh right, that makes sense. The instant mousse does look rather rich, but i couldn't possibly not make it!

Loopy - have a lovely relaxing weekend in Wales. Good idea re the JIC stuff.

Honeyapple - hello and welcome! Hope you dont have to hang around on here too long!

Easy - glad you are feeling happier today! How come your MW was dropping off the pool? Can you hire them from your MW in your area?

Jet - cookies are much more fun than a pumpkin! Uh-oh re the PC Doctor. Still, at least it'll be fixed soon, eh? Enjoy your Pick N Mix and Wispa! Yummy!

Muckers - good luck with the ECV. Sorry you are finding it all so uncomfortable.

LK - yes, the dream was really frustrating!! I've bought DS the actual book for him to revise from so there's no excuses for him to fail the test next time.

Right, must go and do something a little constructive, seeing as i've just spent almost £100 on a hair cut!

littleoldme · 01/11/2007 16:27

Well the day didn't quite pan out planned. Went to see MW and the baby is 3/5 engaged . YAY.
The pita was I told her I'd had lots of itching , hands, feet and legs. She sent me straight to hosp for liver function and bile salts tests. Needless to say I was rather alarmed.

Anyway, the hosp mw said even if it is liver probs its manageable with drugs and will sort after birth. Risks to babay are miniscule.
Gave me bit of a scare though.

And I missed my lunch date!

Loopy - sounds like a fantastic weekend. I love the thought of your DD in pink ear defenders. i'm with her on this one. I hate fireworks and usually spend nov 5 under the bed with the cat and a large G and T. Dunno what I'll do this year without gin

Choc - hope you had a good choc and shop.

Greetings Honey Apple.

jet - Yup , I said exactly the same thing although I might fall over into Dec. Glad to hear that you self medicating appropriately.

aikigypsy · 01/11/2007 16:42

Positive labour vibes all around, it's November at last!

I went out to a Halloween party last night, which was fun because there were a lot of great costumes, but a bit lame in that nearly everyone there, apart from myself and DP, was so drunk/stoned that they weren't much good for conversation. However, everyone was very impressed with my costume, which was mostly DP's idea. I wore a big green cape and we painted my belly as a big bloodshot eye. Several people couldn't figure out how my belly was that shape ... slowly got through their foggy brains that there's a big ol' baby in there!

silkcushion · 01/11/2007 17:45

Aiki - v impressed with yr creativity re costume. Not sure I could have got away with it - purple stretch marks would have showed through the green paint

Went to bumps and babes today, followed by hypnobirthing (got free sessions - can't remember whether I mentioned it). Then went to hospital for an antenatal booking in appointment. Am changing hospitals cos my local one is a bit grotty.

Had contractions the whole time I was there. consultant and Mw said they thought I was probably in early labour cos my uterus felt like it was giving it some welly. Very painful when they palpated my tummy and even when they listened to heartbeat with sonicaid. BP was ok today thank goodness. They both guess tonight or tomorrow for proper labour. But apologies for this being the most long drawn out saga!!!

Off to bounce on my ball or maybe I should catch some zzzzzzs?

jinxed · 01/11/2007 18:50

silk - REST! Honestly, you need to rest up, dont go exhausting yourself, baby will come when baby is ready!

MOAN ALERT

DH knackered his knee even more last night, so is now hobbling around on 2 crutches rather than 1 and so Ive had to do pretty much EVERYTHING today with the girls. Got very domgod earlier though and tidied and swept the living room and kitchen, done ALL the washing up - from last night too, bathed the girls and put some washing on - just waiting for that load to finish so I can get it hung on the airer and in the tumble dryer so I can get the next lot on.

I do feel sorry for DH though, he isnt in the best of health and yet he still manages to look after me and the girls, but I feel absolutely shattered tonight! Made me realise how much he actually does around the house! They are all sat on the sofa snuggled up watching Finding Nemo before bed - wondering who will fall asleep first!

Loads of pressure "down below" again today, almost as if he wants to come out - only down side is I need the toilet twenty times an hour - or so it seems!

Decorating is on hold for the time being - well until dad comes over tomorrow night! Im itching to do it, but just no way we can at the moment - im too fat and tired and DH is incapacitated!

MY word, Im not half waffling on - sorry guys..... i guess I just need somewhere to let off steam a bit, as DH is sick of my whinging!!!

Fingers crossed some of the girls have their babies now - cant wait for some details!!!

honeyapple · 01/11/2007 19:16

Hello, thanks for the welcomes

Easywriter-
well this is number 3 for me, I have one DS 8yrs and one DD 4yrs... this one is apparently another boy (although I wont believe it till he is here).
I am planning a home birth, but have been told if I don't get a move on I will be induced 9th nov... really DO NOT want this to happen.

Had a sweep on tuesday, a show on wednesday, lots of BH since then... but NO baby!! I guess he is just rather chilled out .

Hoping something will happen by the end of the weekend.

Who is due first to pop on this thread?

silkcushion · 01/11/2007 19:48

Jinxed - are you still incognito? Take a break - you've done loads. V sweet image of yr dh and yr girls snuggled on sofa why don't you join them?

Honey - hello. Scroll down and you'll see who's due when and who's produced already.

silkcushion · 01/11/2007 19:48

JARM · 01/11/2007 19:54

im back!

Wasnt my SIL after all.... thank the lord! Really must watch what I say on here sometimes!

Im chilling now - the girls are in bed, apple crumble made and in the oven smelling lush and next load of washing on.

I plan on being in bed by 10pm with my book, so if you see me - kick me in to touch!

ChocolateHobnob · 01/11/2007 20:03

LOM, sorry about the liver problem and glad it isn't serious. Shame it made you miss your lunch - are you having another tomorrow?

Silk, if the contractions have started and they say labour is imminent, I reckon resting is the best bet - time enough to get active once labour kicks in and it clearly is about to!

JARM, I worry about real life people reading me here but I don't think I know anyone who'd be interested to be honest...

Muckers, hello and good luck with the ECV! Fingers crossed it works and lo turns.

RG, don't do it - it really IS too rich that mousse...!

FCH, it'll happen to you soon! and me! Hopefully.

Well, I decided to have a hedonistic day since lo clearly didn't fancy making an appearance, so I met friends for lunch, then went shopping all afternoon. Got some yummy high heeled black wedge boots in Moda in Pelle, and a scarf, and then sat in John Lewis espresso bar with juice and cake. Came back and am dead on my pregnant feet! But it was better than moping at home/cleaning the house/other possible options.

Good luck all esp Anna, Pixie and Silk!

buzzybee · 01/11/2007 20:31

Hi, me again! Further text from Anna.

Anna had a baby girl at 6am this morning NZ time (Nov 2) - so 5pm UK time. 7lb 14oz.

Born by C/S as baby's heart rate was dropping but she made it to 8cm.

All well - and she says labour not as bad as she thought!

No name yet.

JARM · 01/11/2007 20:41

YAY for Anna!!!

Congratulations!!!

Another girl, so now at 4 boys and 2 girls.

Seems weird to see a baby born on 2nd Nov, yet its still the 1st here!!!

sparklygothkat · 01/11/2007 20:45

jarm, haven't forgotten about the pump, couldn't find a box to fit it, but found one now so wil post ASAP
