@Lazydaisydaydream sounds like it won't be long for you now!!

@sianyflewog we are the same with our nursery, it's painted and new floors down but apart from
That, nothing!! Baby won't need it for another 6/7 months so I'm kinda like you and not stressing bout it.

Nothing here either! 39+3 today!!

ChipsAreLife · 05/09/2020 09:54

Morning! Sorry for my delay. I didn't end up going to theatre till afternoon then needed lots of drugs to sort my low BP so was out of it yesterday and still am but ....
We had a beautiful baby boy!! What a shock after two girls!!! He is a hefty one ... 9lbs 8ozs!

Hoping to go home later today as barely been with DH!

I'll catch up on thread later when I can get my head together xx

ShiningStarz · 05/09/2020 12:32

I'm soooo exhausted!!! Literally got up and showered at 7.45 and then had a 2hr nap from 10-12!!! Lol now I'll drink water and eat and it'll be another 2hr afternoon nap!! I definitely don't have that batch cooking / nesting energy some of you have!!! Quite the opposite!!!!

emma278 · 05/09/2020 12:45

@ShiningStarz im watching my husband batch cook does that count 😂

Lorna198 · 05/09/2020 13:04

@ChipsAreLife massive congratulations 💙 hope you are feeling back to normal ish soon!!

MooseWL · 05/09/2020 13:16

@chipsarelife congratulations. Wow 9lb8! Hope you're feeling better soon!
@sianyflewog ermm I'm working on it...washing more baby clothes currently and figuring out how many and which sizes to pack!
Need to wait until Tuesday to clear up the building mess as there's been a delay on the basin and bathroom floor so won't be done until then! Can't wait to have the house back in order! My new bath is lush though!

@OrDis I feel like I'm gonna have a late baby too, maybe even October!

@ursulasings hope things are moving for you that sounds so long!

Sara7455 · 05/09/2020 14:22

Congrats @ChipsAreLife ! Wonderful news - definitely a big boy as well! Hope you’re home and feeling better soon

ShiningStarz · 05/09/2020 14:41

@MooseWL we have a joiner here just fitting doors, unlikely there will be handles or locks on any of them before I go in for induction lol
Bathroom semi done but useable!!!! It always takes twice or three times longer than they say!!! But baby won't have a clue!! It just needs milk and cuddles and that'll come whether house is finished or now!!! I'm learning to chillax lol

@emma278 defo counts!!! I still can't understand how I'll be too weirded to cook, mmmm maybe a little in denial 🤣 thankfully wev a pub down the rd for a meal lol if desperate !!! 🙈

Chanel05 · 05/09/2020 14:41

@ChipsAreLife congratulations! Wow what a big boy!

MooseWL · 05/09/2020 15:00

@shiningstarz me too, normally this would stress me out but I'm feeling ridiculously chilled about it! Who needs a floor or a sink not meee 😂

I really enjoy cooking and feel like surely when I've got all day at home with a baby I'll have some time to cook. I'm really bad at sitting and doing nothing. I can imagine baby in a sling feeding whilst I cook away with my hands free 😂 will let you know how that goes lol
But freezer stocking just in case. Also gonna have the rule if anyone wants to come visit entry is only permitted if you bring me food 😂

How long is everyones partners having off work? Mine works for his dad so it's fairly flexible but thinking 2 weeks should be enough!

Hahaha @MooseWL
My partner has 2 weeks paternity and then he will continue working from home. I think his work will start some meetings in the office come Oct but they know he'll have a newborn so he may be exempt. I'm so glad to have him at home. I'm not letting friends / anyone outside of parents and brothers n sisters on both sides in the house to visit!!
