OMG Kayla- hope you're ok. It's so easy though isn't it- I can't see my feet half the time

KaylaBmummy · 14/10/2007 21:40

Clu - Welcome to the tread.
FCH - Thanks, had a crappy week but hopefully its going to get better.

KaylaBmummy · 14/10/2007 21:51

Pixifish - Thanks, Yes, im waddling everywhere at mo, I felt such an arse. Anyway no pains all day so dont think its going to bring on labour. Have been told that you can have a show weeks or days before labour so think im ok.

sparklygothkat · 14/10/2007 23:59

hi all, Callum is doing ok, he is feeding and the whites of his eyes are greyish white again and not yellow. Hopefully the HV will be happy and we will not be returning to hospital tomorrow.

Have added a pic of Callum and Lisad123's dd2 to my profile. Cant believe there is only 4 days between them, and was only 1/2 pound between their birth weights, Jasmine looks huge compared to Callum.

iris66 · 15/10/2007 06:08

morning all - nothing happening here so thought I'd crack on with the kitchen floor so I can admire it for 10 minutes before it gets tramped on

Kayla - I hope you've recovered from your fall (sounds like you went down quite heavily ) Glad you were able to get checked out and that all's ok. And your DH is home soon! (is it tomorrow or next Tue? - I'm even getting excited for you )

Pixiefish - Wise words, thanks (and apologies for the drama queen outburst ) DS's eczema has only recently started showing round his eyes and on his face (hideous isn't it). It was only on his arms and legs previously. I was terrified he'd have a reaction to the piriton rather than some wierd "no manmade stuff in my child" thing. The only other time he's had anything was a dose of disprol at 4mths for a really high temp that I couldn't get down. It brought him out in the most awful hives and he was worse than ever for about 6 hrs. He's been on homeopathic stuff for everything (apart from his emoillent)ever since.

Hi Sparkly - good to see you and even better to hear that Callum's doing grand. How are you doing?

ChocolateHobnob · 15/10/2007 06:42

Iris, your nesting is putting me to shame. I wonder if I'm simply too lazy to ever be tempted by nesting, or if this means lo is going to be late, or if the fact that I'm still working up to 38 weeks has left me without energy for nesting!

Sparkly, great news about Callum. You're doing so well both of you! Checked out the pics and both Callum and Jasmine are soooo cute! Can't believe they were born four days apart either.

RG, hats off to you for the gig - no way could I have managed it. It sounds like fun though - oh and cooked breakfast AND Wispas! Result!

Mrs Jetson, any news??

Kayla, poor you falling down. I fell over the front doorstep at 24 weeks and luckily landed on my knees, on top of my jacket and handbag. It was fine but gave me a huge shock. Hope you're okay.

I am shattered after another crap night's sleep - but I did manage some lovely baby cooing yesterday! Friends' boys are 4 months and 2 1/2 years respectively and are both very cute. Seeing babies brings it home, doesn't it?? Also were given more clothes so have been cooing over those as well... I'm sad, me!

Off to work soon - last week, hurrah. Not before time as I'm 38 weeks this Wednesday...

Hope you're all doing okay and have a good day everyone who's finished work!

iris66 · 15/10/2007 07:07

ChocolateHobNob - it's not real nesting I'm sure, it's me deluding myself that by doing all this the LO's going to come before induction day

I'm not surprised you've no time though - you must be knackered as you're still working! Roll on Friday eh

FCH · 15/10/2007 07:16

Morning all! I have some news to make all the dedicated baby stalkers jealous... I met up with the guys from my ante-natal class last night and not only have the twins arrived but their parents brought them along!! They are sooooo gorgeous and weigh just over 5 pounds each, which I think is quite a good weight for twins, but they were so small!! The overdue club were determinedly sniffing them (and I have to admit they did smell nice ) but it was so strange to be holding such a teeny baby and thinking that I have one of those just tucked up inside my tummy. Very strange. The best thing though was watching all the first time dads-to-be holding the babies in the most awkward possible way - so sweet!

Anyway - hope you all have a good day...

silkcushion · 15/10/2007 07:32

morning - glad to see Mrs J (due same day as me) is experiencing similar stuff. My bump was solid all of last last night. Back still aching, lower abdominal pains still happening. Parents are staying with us at the moment so I asked my mum if it was possible I was having contractions. She said it's like when people ask how do you know yr in love? You just know. Sounded good but will probably lead to me giving birth in the car on the way to hospital!!!

Parents arrrived with 5 bin bags full of clothes from my 3 nieces and a bin bag full of toys.. Don't really want them all though so have to select a few things and be tactful with the rest. My mum has knitted a really sweet little pink cardigan and bonnet set for lo. She desperately wanted to do it as my sisters in law didn't want anything knitted for their babies when they had them. I think it's lovely and Dh sat with it snuggled on his tummy whilst we watched strictly come dancing. I thought my mum was going to cry with happiness.

Anyway need to get up and going cos it looks like I'll make it to my spa day today.

littleoldme · 15/10/2007 10:16

Loopy/Iris - have calmed down re the whole computer thing now. I shouldn't complain really c'os if I had an ounce of It nouse I'd fix it myself.

Rg / Loopy - I know wjhat you mean. I'm 34 weeks on Weds and people talking about imminent arrivals seems a little odd. I'm dead excitied for everyone though.

Rg Respect on the DJing front - I just about it to 11 last night and that was with an afternoon nap. Well done on finding Wispas.

Kayla - Hope you are feeling OK. It all gets a tricky when you can't see your feet doesn't it. You make sure you look after yourself.

FCH - Love the twins story. It made me well up - I think that measn I'm joining the ranks of the stalkers...

Silk- enjoy the spa day. Sounds heavenly.

I'm going to attempt to go for a swim this morning. Not sure if my boobs will fit in my swimming costume though. I'd better try it on before I go or I may have somebody's eye out
