Hi all

Just thought I would get this set up so that we had somewhere to go at the end. Will link to it in the old thread. Can’t believe we reached the limit so soon!!!

@NotExactly9 I think I won't, but I wonder if I'll have the restraint when it actually comes to it!

I'm just about to finish work and I'm shattered. Will definitely not be seeing the New Year in!

We've decided to wait until the baby is born but I'm know I'm going to struggle when I'm looking at the scan - not that I have any clue what I'm looking at! 😂

@Firstmummytobe no wayyyy haha! I’m 31. I’m moving back that end myself soon to be honest, with everything going on I’ve sort of outgrown city centre living! What about you? X

Coming over too from the old thread! I think I'm 7+6/8 weeks tomorrow. Has been a funny old few weeks. Have had nausea most days and this morning was vomiting incident #1. Which is earlier than with my daughter (started vomiting around 11 weeks or so). But then vomited every single day until I gave birth! Symptoms come and go which is fine because when I start to think I feel fine I then get sick again. I am a waitress as well so get sick dealing with the food all day long!
Hope everyone is feeling ok and can be. My booking appt is 27th Jan and then scan on the 28th. They've changed things since the last time I was pregnant as then we had booking appt at around 9 weeks and bloods where as this time they are taking my bloods next week and then booking appt and scan pretty much bang on the 12 week mark on consecutive days.
It's hard not to worry but I'm not going for an early scan. We don't really have the money and I know my body so well that I just know I'm pregnant. If I stopped feeling so sick and bloated 24/7 then I'd worry but your bodies are doing an amazing job. I do remember that even at the 12 weeks scan the baby is moving so much but you dont even feel it!

I asked earlier in the old thread about holidaying (when your due in Aug) and we’ve booked to go to Greece in June so just about managed to squeeze that one in! But then it hit me I won’t really get the chance to holiday in Europe at least until the following summer!

Has anyone else thought of holidays/time away for next year when your due date is slap bang in the middle of holiday season? Just curious!

Frazzlerock · 01/01/2020 14:31

Well we're booked to go to Glastonbury this year. 1st time I've ever been as it's so bloody hard to get tix, and we love a festival. But now I'm not sure as I'll be 7 months pregnant (hopefully) by then...

Re Greece, what's the latest you can fly? I'd go if you're allowed to fly

NotExactly9 · 01/01/2020 15:27

@Frazzlerock oh cool okay - that should be awesome!

Yeah I’ve gone ahead and booked it 6th - 16th, maybe go away in December too but I was thinking god if I don’t get that booked in we will have missed the whole summer season! I’m so bad 🤦🏻‍♀️

NotExactly9 · 01/01/2020 15:30

Sorry mean to say in June and you can fly upto 36 weeks and then it depends on airline. I’ll be 32 weeks. Only paid for the flights upto now so worse case scenario we can change the flights nearer the time!

Hi Ladies! Joining in. Currently 6 weeks pregnant by my calculations, due date of August 26th. I have yet to get an appointment with the midwife (cant get hold of them and its self referral) so gonna be on the phone flat out after the holidays until I get someone Grin

Going for a private scan on Sunday afternoon, just want a bit of reassurance. I had a little bit of pink spotting last night and it stopped quickly so after a panic I think it may have been because my partner and I had sex yesterday. Very hard not to be nervous though. I'm almost 32 and this is my third pregnancy - first I had a miscarriage and next I now I have a daughter that just has turned 13. So a bit of a gap! This will be my partners first child.

Still fairly mild symptoms - boobs hurt a little and nausea here and there. Very tired though! I didnt have too many with my daughter either so might be the same for me again.

@realladymarmalade I’m going to be nearly 43 and a half when this little one arrives, if he sticks. Grin

Hi Jennie and congratulations! Nice to see an older mum. Do you have any other kids ?

I'm feeling v anxious about being older and the risk of anomalies too..my anxious brain in overdrive.

I'm hiding upstairs in bed again.. so so tired and no idea how I'll handle work & kids next week with DH working away again ! In sure I'm extra tired this time..!

The main saving grace is that my appetite is enormous. Trying to get lots of folic acid high foods in there now.

I'm also a slightly older mum at 40. Though I should have been 36 but we've lost three in that time. I'll be 41 if we get through this pregnancy. Honestly never thought I'd be having more children in my 40's but here I am! Mind you, if we lose this one, I don't think I can put myself through it again.

I'm soooooo sleepy today today and actually have had real nausea for the past two days so I'm feeling more confident that this little chick is okay in there. Still waiting to hear back about another scan on Friday

@Realladymarmalade I have a 12 year old and a 21 month old (both girls) and an angel who would be 3. Miscarried in August and now on pregnancy number 5. DH and I waited for more kids until we had stability financially, hence the big age gap.

@Frazzlerock it must be so hard for you, I know you’ve had a rough time. I so want another baby and will probably try again if this little one doesn’t stick but really praying he does. Good luck for scan on Friday. 🤞🤞🤞 sending sticky baby dust to us all.xx

Hi everyone and happy new year 😊

On the subject of holidays, we've booked a trip to Italy in April in the Easter holidays. We're constrained by school holidays and work commitments otherwise might have pushed it to May. I went to Italy one July when I was 5 and a half months pregnant and it was fine, just a little too hot. In fact I'm desperately hoping that we don't get a super hot July this year in the UK like we have the past few years as being 8 months pregnant in the heat will be awful!

@frazzlerock I went to Glastonbury when I was 5 months pregnant with my first and survived, but it was tough and I wouldn't do it again. Crowds were a bit of a nightmare and I injured my knee with all the walking. Ended up going to the on site doctors where they sighed at me and told me the ground is very uneven and walking loads with my pregnancy hormones (relaxin) had put me at risk of injury and I should be taking it easy 😳 tbh I was fine with a bit of rest. 7 months pregnant might be more tricky though...

Hello and Happy New Year Ladies. I'm 9 weeks tomorrow, booking appt on Mon and first early scan Thurs at nearly 10 weeks Confused

I'd love to holiday before August next year but due to my weight (currently 15st 9lbs and losing!) I think I will be either advised not to fly or if I do I will definitely be on blood thinning injections. I will need to assess the risk nearer the time. I'm more of a last minute booker anyway.

Report
Frazzlerock · 02/01/2020 08:59

@NamiSwan yeah its the walking that is worrying me. I may have to put it on hold this year and hope we get tickets again in the future. I think I will hang on for as long as I can until we have to pay the full amount, just in case things go wrong. Then decide. I think I've got until April if I remember correctly.

@PandaPink We are on the same track. I'm 9 weeks tomorrow too Smile
