Hi all

Just thought I would get this set up so that we had somewhere to go at the end. Will link to it in the old thread. Can’t believe we reached the limit so soon!!!

Can I join too? Roughly 7wks 4days on baby number 3. I booked an early scan for last Mon which showed the little heartbeat. I have a scan in the hospital tomorrow which will hopefully show a weeks more growth.
Feeling quite sick the past week. Constant nausea and no appetite but eating does help the nausea.
Best of luck to us all.

@randomword of course you may, and congratulations. We have people that can give so much advice here. I’m a first timer so learning thick and fast but others have had children already, some younger, some older, some terrible nausea, some flying through. All sorts! Please share and ask away

@Babykent2019 I know, food shopping has become an absolute nightmare hasn’t it! Things getting me through (don’t laugh, I’ve regressed into childhood for some of it..)

Any fruit juice, the fruitier the better
Frosties with whole milk
Oat cakes with cottage cheese
Scrambled eggs and avo on buttered brown toast
McCain Smileys
Salmon fillets
Jacket potatoes
Tangerines

If it doesn’t involve any of these things chances are I won’t eat it.

Hi everyone!!!
Good to see everyone moving over from the old thread.

Soooo without jinxing myself I think I’m starting to turn a corner with my morning sickness. All other symptoms in full flow but nausea and vomiting starting to calm right down, especially when I eat carbs!

I’m 8+2 today.

I’m so sorry for anybody that didn’t make it to the new thread and for your losses especially at such a time of the year, must be awful and thinking of you❤️

But glad that there are still a lot of us still here!!

Baby dust to all of us and best wishes for the new year and our exciting journeys😍❤️🥰

@alexTP I’ve been going private with all my scans as my GP is private anyway. However I’m very lucky here in Liverpool that we have the Liverpool Women’s Hospital who are just amazing so I will be switching to those angels after my last private scan next week!

We looked into some private midwife stuff but it looked a little useless to be honest....

Im still dying with nausea struggling to get out of bed and don’t know how I’m going to manage going to work tomorrow, getting on the tubes or walking down the street smelling second hand smoke Confused its absaloute hell for me. How is everyone else doing?

@NotExactly9 I am surviving on some similar foods to you. I usually don't drink orange juice at all (probably once a year at most) but have gone through 2 litres by myself in the past few days! The old wives tale is cravings for oranges means you're having a girl. I had similar cravings on my second child....who is a girl :)

@randomword oh really!! Haha yeah I’m currently working my way through all the ‘high juices’ at the min which are super fruity!

@NotExactly9 ahhhh Liverpool!!! Where abouts? I had the choice between the women’s and Ormskirk!!
(I chose Ormskirk) (and I’m obviously also from Liverpool 😂)

@Firstmummytobe my insomnia so bad too at the moment. I'm absolutely shattered but I just lay there for hours tossing and turning!

Doesn't help that DD wakes up every night at midnight for a bottle then spends the next two hours chatting away and standing up and down in her cot Hmm

That’s interesting about oranges as I have a thing for them atm and never eat them (no real reason). However, I have very little sickness (more boy) and cold feet (again indicates boy) so who knows! I’d like a girl but happy with a boy too. Anyone else have preferences?

Funny what you say about oranges. I've literally chomped through two satsumas while catching up. With our first loss baby I was addicted to orange squash (I'm a plain water drinker) and anything with an orange taste, and I had the strongest feeling she was a girl. With our third loss baby I didn't have the orange thing and he was a boy.

No preference for me. Just a living baby will do me. I have two (much older) boys, and girls can be either boyish or girly, and boys can be either too, so sex doesn't matter to me.
Just please cosmos give me a happy and healthy baby this time!!

Disclaimer: I realise not everyone has had the experience I've had so I've nothing against people wanting a girl or a boy more 😘

I am also getting terrible insomnia, and have had it through all my pregnancies. It's a bugger!

Hey guys 😊 I'm still here. 8 + 1, nausea getting worse. Cannot sleep for more than a couple of hours which is driving me mad. We have told both families now after our good scan. My boobs are now the size I have been (with padding) pretending they have been for years 🤣 I cant stop showing my OH

Really good news at my scan! Measuring 8 weeks 2 days. Could see the heart beating like mad and little gummy bear was wriggling around! Been discharged from EPU back to normal midwife care and have my booking in appointment next week. Makes this awful sickness completely worth it ! I’m also addicted to orange squash, hadn’t heard that old wives tale before! But as long as it’s healthy :) hope everyone’s feeling ok and that other scans go well xxx

Had a private scan measuring 8wks and saw the heartbeat. I’m relieved as had the flu really badly over Xmas. Nausea kicked in a few days ago. I’m completely off food but I’m finding eating toast in the mornings helps! I’ve never had cravings in my previous pregnancy but I’m craving orange squash and last night I just wanted orange ice lolly’s. anyone else craving?

Lovely pictures @seasidegirl11 ! And such good news!

I'm hoping to go for another scan on Friday when I'll be 9 weeks as that is usually when things go wrong for us. Consultant is off so they're trying to get someone else to scan me.

TMI but I'm having real problems with not having sex. We are both so scared to do anything as we don't want to do anything that could jeopardise this baby, despite knowing sex can't cause MC. It's completely irrational but I couldn't live with myself if anything happens afterwards. It's not even penetration I'm worried about, it's orgasming and worried the inner contractions will set something off. It's totally ridiculous.
But it's driving us both mad. At least DP can sort himself out if he needs to. Arrgghh poxy recurrent MC is such a bastard 😭
I'm wondering if we can be brave once we get a good scan after 9 weeks. I'm not sure how much longer I can wait!

Funny about the oranges thing, i've also been eating a lot of satsumas and oranges this christmas! I have a feeling its a girl with all the nausea too. But who knows. DH isn't bothered either way but i'd quite like a girl, for no rational reason.

Woke up feeling rough as today. We're supposed to be driving 3+ hours today to go see some of DHs childhood friends for NYE. I'm known as quite a drinker so there's little hope of keeping the secret (plus we're seeing them again for what was meant to be a boozy weekend away before our 12w scan, so I def won't get away with 2 excuses!) As rough as I feel tho, I'm very close to cancelling. Poor DH has had to put up with me being totally rubbish the last week or so, he's being v nice about it.

@louisaizzy you just reminded me that the old wives tale could be flawed. I craved those orange triangle things you put in the freezer when I was expecting DS1. I ate them all the time! But obvs he was a boy...
mind you, it was summer 2005 with a heatwave so it may have just been the cold I craved. But I only wanted that flavour.

@Frazzlerock feel u re: the sex! Since my bleed I’ve been too scared to orgasm/have sex. We said we would try if the news was good today though! But still tempted to wait till 12 weeks though.... been feeling far to rough in any case but it’s getting frustrating!

I had my first early scan today too at 8+5. Looked like a tiny teddy bear with little arma and legs and was wriggling around 😂 measured exactly 8+5 and had a strong heart beat. There was also another sac with visible kill sac 🙈 But doc reckoned that the second one likely wasn't viable and might get reabsorbed, I have to go back for a second scan in 2 weeks to check. It kind of make sense to me I think because I was incredibly nauseous on week 6 and then it faded way back, although didn't disappear completely. I am just looking at the positives that there is one viable baby in there, and remembering that if I hadn't had an early scan I likely wouldn't have even known about the second one.

Sadly I forgot to ask for a print out during the actual scan and then it was too late so I'll remember at the next one! Is anyone else spending New Years staying in and replacing booze with food??? 🙈🙈
Massive congrats to all of the lovely scans so far and best of luck for the upcoming ones xxx
