@girlinglasses I'm 9+3 today and had my booking in apt this morning. It took around 40 mins, and was basically just me answering a lot of questions about my medical history and mine and dps family history. I also had my BP taken, blood and urine tests, and a carbon monoxide test (which I've never had before in previous pregnancies, so must be a new thing).
My midwife showed me my schedule of appointments and told me that as I wouldn't have a 40 week appt (that's only for first time mums) that they would book my induction in at my 38 week appt. I was like um no, I don't want an induction actually and then she gave me the spiel about having to see a consultant blah blah but that ultimately it would be my choice. It put my back up a bit that they are already setting an expectation for an induction at my very first appointment. It's a very personal decision I think, but I declined booking in an induction with my second and went 9 days over and had a very straightforward pregnancy and birth so wouldn't have a induction unless evidence it was medically necessary.
They also asked me where I was planning to give birth and I said I wanted a home birth (had a home birth with my second and it was great) and midwife told me I'd be transferred to our home birth team so long as they thought it was appropriate, but that I'm low risk and already had one so likely they would transfer me.
I have to ring and book in for my first scan, it can be anywhere from 12-14 weeks and I'm hoping it'll be closer to 12 weeks so I can have my scan sooner rather than later! I do definitely feel pregnant now but until I see for myself that the baby is fine, I can't relax properly.
