Hi all

Just thought I would get this set up so that we had somewhere to go at the end. Will link to it in the old thread. Can’t believe we reached the limit so soon!!!

Fab idea @jojo19834...

Jayl111 · 29/12/2019 17:32

Hi, hope it’s ok to join I’m 7+5 with baby#2 due 11th August according to the online calculators. Feel so different with this pregnancy to the last one, been feeling sick from day 1 and can’t help but worry and feel anxious that somethings not right. Can’t wait for 11 week scan for some reassurance. Don’t know why I’m feeling this way never did 1st time round x x

NotExactly9 · 29/12/2019 19:42

Thanks @Jojo19834 😊 anybody else around the 9 week mark?

I know I’m repeating myself haha but I’m due 2nd Aug with my first. I’m 31 and extremely nervous!!

NotExactly9 · 29/12/2019 19:43

@JayI111 everything crossed for you. Could you not get an earlier reassurance scan? I had one at 6 weeks due to two previous MC x

Macbless · 29/12/2019 20:20

Just marking my spot. Thanks @Jojo19834

I'm 9 weeks today or tomorrow depending on LMP/ovulation date. Due 3rd or 4th August. Feeling more excited/hopeful as things seem to be continuing. Nice to have you all to chat to xx

Jj2431 · 29/12/2019 20:36

Hi all. Found out 2 days ago and I THINK I'm about 6 weeks. Absolutely anxious as I have pcos too. When should we be trying to get midwife referral? Asap? This is my 3rd but it's been almost 7 years since my last pregnancy. I have two boys already.

Jayl111 · 29/12/2019 21:03

@NotExactly9 I could get a early scan private I guess. Sure it’s just me been paranoid had a few friends go through some awful pregnancies this past year and think I’m just fearing the worst. Roll on 12 weeks x x

Jojo19834 · 29/12/2019 21:09

Good to see you @Macbless, been wondering how things were

Jojo19834 · 29/12/2019 21:11

@Jayl111 fingers crossed all is ok, but many do say that each pregnancy is different even for themselves. I’m having the opposite thought to you, only a few symptoms so is all really ok?! I have a scan again on 5th so just need to hold out til then. I’m telling myself the tiredness has got to be a good sign

GaaaaarlicBread · 29/12/2019 21:12

Hey can I join ? I thought I was due September but calculate my dates wrong of my last period! I’m due 30th August, so very end of August but feel like it’ll be nice to be part of this thread. 5 weeks today 🤰🏼 Got a scan for 8 weeks (closer to 9 weeks) on 25th January , it feels an eternity away x

Jojo19834 · 29/12/2019 21:12

@Jj2431 I would enquire now as to what you need to do. Some need a GP referral others are self referral. Mines on 9th and I’ll be 10+1 then but booked it a while back

Jojo19834 · 29/12/2019 21:14

Welcome @itsemily hate to say but it will take an eternity to get to, the first few weeks are soooooo slow (I have found, others feel free to disagree). It’s all the excitement and changes and milestones I think. For me it’s going to be a loooooong 9 months. Congratulations. Any symptoms yet?

@sezzywoowoo21 all going well?

Jj2431 · 29/12/2019 21:16

Thanks @Jojo19834 I will call my gp surgery tomorrow.

NotExactly9 · 29/12/2019 21:17

Sorry to repeat myself - anyone around the 9week mark?

NotExactly9 · 29/12/2019 21:18

Sorry ignore above!

@Macbless exactly the same as you haha. How are you doing?

MaisieMolly · 29/12/2019 21:50

I’m about 8 weeks. Booked myself a private scan for tomorrow as I’ve had very few symptoms and I’m a bit worried.

Macbless · 29/12/2019 21:51

@NotExactly9 I think @Jojo19834 is at a similar stage too. @itsemily welcome. I recognise your name from some conception boards I followed. I didn't post a lot but I found them very helpful. Congratulations on the BFP.

I'm generally doing well. Feel a lot more relaxed than I did earlier in the pregnancy. Partly the scan at 8 weeks and partly just getting more use to it and also getting closer to 12 weeks. I've only really started to get nausea this week. I have very little appetite (not normal for me at all) and I feel like I'm just having force food in to stop the nausea. It's not terrible and I'm very glad that I've not vomited but it's just that low level background queasiness with the tiredness it adds up! But I do feel so happy to have moved from conception to the pregnancy boards that I don't want to complain too much. Particularly when I know we've already lost women from the thread to MC xx

Girlinglasses · 29/12/2019 22:33

Thanks @Jojo19834 ! I'll be 9 weeks on New Year's Day. Hoping to have my early scan day after tomorrow- feeling a bit anxious this evening as I am having pain in my lower right side, not cramps but a constant dull ache. No spotting as of yet though - I'm thinking it might be kidney/UTI as I'm just off antibiotics for an infection, I wonder did it not clear up fully.

I agree with OP too, the time is going so sloooowwwwly, I think I'm just really keen to get to second trimester in the hopes that I'll relax a bit more!

Dollywilde · 29/12/2019 22:40

Checking back in, 7.5 weeks. Booking in appointment on Tuesday and private scan for next Saturday when I’m due to be 8.5. Hope everyone’s getting on okay. I’ve spent most of today spitting feathers at DH and crying. Hormonal as hell... not fun.

heroineinahalfshell · 29/12/2019 23:14

Hi all. I'm 7 weeks, due around about 15th Aug. First baby. I saw my GP on 21st Dec, and rang the midwife that day for my booking in appointment. They said they'd send me a letter with the appointment details (wouldn't book it over the phone), but nothing has arrived yet. Is that normal? I know with Xmas it might have got delayed, but it's making me anxious. I might ring them tomorrow if nothing comes in the post.
Only symptoms so far are my boobs are already huge, and I've had wicked bad nausea from early morning to late afternoon every day.... which made cooking christmas dinner fun! I could take out shares in ginger ale at this point Grin

sezzywoowoo21 · 29/12/2019 23:29

@Jojo19834...all seems to be ok sleeping every second I can and feeling sick 24/7 had second scan at 6 wld and saw little heartbeat just can’t wait for 12 week one now time seems to be going sooooo slow lol xx

Frazzlerock · 30/12/2019 06:31

Just marking my spot. I've been on the old thread as it still seems to be accepting posts but will be over when it's full, or everyone decides to move over

NamiSwan · 30/12/2019 08:06

Place marking while I catch up on the thread - welcome newbies!

I'm 9 weeks today, nausea and tiredness has been horrendous the last few days. I'm hoping it peaks soon and then starts to improve as I can't deal with this anymore 😭 have my booking in appointment on Thursday which I'm looking forward to as at the moment the pregnancy doesn't feel real really despite the symptoms as I just feel fat, tired and ill rather than pregnant 🙈

NotExactly9 · 30/12/2019 10:09

Me too on the food front. I’m off almost absolutely everything it’s horrendous but I’m trying to eat often and healthy - I just can’t!!

But yeah the food/nausea thing is really getting to me. Tiredness I can kind of cope with, I think the Christmas break came at a good time as I had time to just sit around on my ass! Back to work on the 6th so hoping I’ve peaked and feeling better soon Grin
