Hi all

Just thought I would get this set up so that we had somewhere to go at the end. Will link to it in the old thread. Can’t believe we reached the limit so soon!!!

Hi all, been rather quiet but still been reading and following along. I'm 7w4d and due on the 13th. Finding it hard to feel relaxed due to a previous loss, however we had a scan last week and saw the heartbeat so trying to keep positive🤞🙏

I had my private scan this morning! I couldn’t believe it when they found a little bean measuring 8+4 and with a heartbeat. I had convinced myself that my lack of symptoms and disappearing nausea/sore boobs meant the worst. So relieved to see there’s something there and trying to keep positive now.

Aww that's fab news @MaisieMolly it's such a relief to hear the heartbeat!

Well, although I would be 7 weeks by LMP sonographer could see a 6 week sac and yolk sac, all looking normal (although she obviously couldn’t promise anything) but she recommended re-scan in 10 days and has tried to recommend it on notes to see if GP will get me an EPU scan given history. Not the reassurance I wanted as I’ve barely been holding it together waiting for today and now more waiting. Not seeing MW until Jan 20th for booking in. Happy but gutted. 😢😢😢 Please tell me others have had this and had a good outcome?

@NotExactly9 I'm 9 weeks tomorrow if going by LMP.

Still here just been lurking and moping around feeling sorry for myself!

Hiya I'm 5+4 going by LMP. On and off symptoms seem to be quite common! Finding it really stressful when my boobs become less tender as there my main symptom, along with tiredness.

Also, does anyone know how much HCG a clearblue digi needs to give you a 3+? I got mine yesterday but am intrigued to know. Can't seem to find any info on google.

Report
CharlotteCx · 30/12/2019 12:39

I have just called ClearBlue and spoke to an advisor 🤣 if anyone would like to know the 3+ needs to detect a minimum 2600 HCG to give you that reading.

Hi all, coming over from the old thread.

@NotExactly9 @Macbless @plantmum (may have missed others) I am at a similar stage to you, 9 weeks tomorrow I believe. Haven't been sick but feeling nauseous all the time, forcing myself to eat every 2 hours to keep it at bay so feeling fat, boobs hurt and extremely tired! Luckily I am off work until the 6th so have time to rest, but am going away for NYE with friends which will be interesting 😶.

I had my booking appointment this morning, the midwife was so lovely but kept giving my info about things for much further along the pregnancy, at this stage I can't even imagine getting past the next few weeks due to having a miscarriage last year.

@MaisieMolly so pleased your scan went well.

Keep going with the updates everyone, this can be a strange and lonely time so this board is great xx

Called the doctors today, got an appointment with them tomorrow evening. Was always referred straight to midwife with previous pregnancies so not sure what to expect with seeing doctor first. I THINK based on Lmp that I'm 6+2

@MaisieMolly congratulations, so pleased for you

@ChelseaaBun it’s great when you get a good scan result and a nice heartbeat isn’t it

@jennielm maybe you ovulated late? Also, the size does move about in early scans so hopefully all is ok. We all want to hear it measures exactly as we think as it settles our nerves but not hearing that doesn’t mean there’s an issue either

Hi everyone just caught up with all the new posts. I'm 6+4 today based on LMP, but I thinks it more like 6weeks exactly. I have a private scan booked for Thursday which I hope will help me relax. I'm not sleeping great and feeling sick quite a bit. My husband and daughter have had norovirus over the weekend so I was wondering if I was starting with it, but amazingly I haven't got it, and they are both over it by at least 24 hours now so hopefully I won't get it! 🤞🏻🤞🏻
Hope everyone is doing ok. It's such a hard time isn't it? But we are all slowly getting closer to 12 week scans xx

Has anyone had this, like acid reflux?? After every meal it repeats and tries to regurgitate but it doesn’t happen??! God I’m gross Blush
Glad to find some other 9 week-ers! Still no news about my booking appointment but I’m not rushing, feels like aggggges ago that I had my 6 week scan and saw that heartbeat. I’m tempted to book another private one before my 12 week!!

5+3 today. Still not many symptoms. Having insomnia and when I do finally get to sleep I'm having weird, vivid dreams. Had a text from the local MW today introducing herself.

@NotExactly9 I went through so much Rennie and Gaviscon in both my pregnancies. I would get acid reflux so bad. Then heartburn throughout the night.

Report
Macbless · 30/12/2019 15:43

@NotExactly9 I was going to say rennies are a good shout for reflux. My MiL bought me some gaviscon but I think I prefer the rennies and it did seem to help.

Hi all, coming over from the old thread. I am 9 weeks tomorrow and just received my booking appointment for Tuesday 7th when I will be exactly 10 weeks. Does anyone know if your OH needs to come to that appointment with you? I'm sure I saw someone mention before they did?

Also has anyone else suffered with the flu. As it's so early I haven't had my jab yet! It started yesterday with a high temp of 39.5, sore throat and aching and has carried on today although I've managed to get my temp down to 37.5 with paracetamol so not worried. Just is much harder when you already don't feel great because of the first trimester! So have spent the last two days in bed with OH waiting on me which I'm not complaining about!

Symptom wise I have been lucky enough not to experience much nausea apart from the odd wave here and there but certainly not every day or very often at all if I'm honest. It was worrying me until I managed to see my baby at 7+1 and could see a strong heartbeat! I have heartburn\acid reflux after eating or drinking and sometimes when I'm eating it feels like the food just won't go down after a while?!

One thing I am really struggling with is major food aversions. NOTHING looks appetising to me. I have to force myself to eat but manage only half most of the time as I can't stop myself from thinking about how much I don't want to eat it which leads to me feeling quite sick and my sense of smell is so strong at the moment anyway most foods are a no go! Is anyone else going through the same thing? I normally have a very good appetite so am finding it particularly hard.

@f00k you and I are very close in dates ,our community midwife hasn’t been in touch yet but my Drs surgery receptionist said she’ll send off my details to her today and she should then be in touch on Friday . It’ll be good to have something to look forward to and be put in place and then it’ll seem more real for me! I’m so excited but so nervous as I haven’t seen or spoken to anyone yet .

Hi all, just an update from me.
After a heavy bleed for one day (enough to fill 1 sanitary pad, sorry tmi) 10 days ago my GP referred me to the EPU today and I had an internal scan. We saw the baby and heartbeat, measuring 6+4. Everything else looked normal, overview, sac etc. They could see the bleed and said it would have been from implantation. We are over the moon and feel more at ease as we had a MMC in June.

After 3 calls to the midwives today, I finally have my booking in appointment! (They'd lost my details from when i rang on the 21st, so it's a good thing I checked.) Monday 13th Jan at 9am, luckily the birthing centre is only 10 mins from my house too. I'll be 9w+2 then. Can't wait!

@DanielleG96 so glad you said that about food aversions. Today I seem to have a bit of an appetite but probably as I didn’t manage dinner last night. Went for a beautiful curry and didn’t eat any of it when it came as just couldn’t do it! I have a fridge full of food but can’t eat any of it. Have found that the only things I can eat at carbs. Healthy is sooooooo gross right now. Hoping this switches off soon. Re flu I had my flu jab but suffered from two colds already and I normally have a great immune system. Hopefully it’s good for baby and it’s immune system! I don’t have an OH but think the answer is yes as they ask family history questions so they should. Plus surely he wants to? Boring but exciting appointment!

@Babykent2019 congratulations, pleased all was well. Can’t have been a fun time

@NotExactly9 hahaha yo the scans! I think I’ll need a loyalty card. It’s the just not knowing what’s happening at present. Weird! I have my second scan on Sunday, very excited but just also want to know all is well. I’ll be 9+4 so another milestone passed if that is well

@itsemily in my area we can call the doctors and book a midwife appointment through the receptionist. I did it last week but the MW text me today asking me to book one, so she mustn't have seen I'd already done it. Sounds like your area is one where you have to wait for the MW to contact you. Everywhere seems to be different! It is good to have an appointment in place. Between now and the booking appointment feels a bit like limbo land where you start to wonder if it's just in your head!

@Babykent2019 glad to hear everything is okay with baby! You must have been so worried these past 10 days.

@DanielleG96 they ask your DP questions and about his family's medical history so it is good to have him come along if he can.

@Jojo19834 @DanielleG96 I know what you meen about food aversions. I literally don't want anything. I'm eating small snacks often at the moment as I can't face a full meal 🤢 . I'm struggling to find anything at all that o fancy eating. May have a walk round the shop 2mo and see if anything takes my liking.

. Yesterday was my birthday and I cancelled our meal out to sleep in the hotel room and eat sliced apple and a few chicken satay skewers. Fell to sleep by 8.30. 🤦🏽‍♀️

Hello Ladies, happy Monday.

I have had extreme tiredness and last two days some terrible acid reflux to the point where I thought was getting a heart attack! Remgel isn't helping much but cold water does the trick or some cold watermelon slices.

I have had a decent appetite though :-)

Some nausea two weeks ago and then I feel sick with a terrible cough and sinusitis.. no nausea during the sick period, today is the first day I am much better and Nausea is back with a bang.

I am booking in a private scan for the 8th, we will be 8weeks pregnant by then- so fingers crossed. I am 39 with my first pregnancy so worried about my age and carrying a healthy baby. Hopefully all works out okay.

Are any of you going private? My last weeks worth of research has brought up a handful of good consultants. Meeting with three of them next week to decide which way i go!
