A shiny new thread for our May mum's.

A big thank you to @Shak19 for setting up the original thread, you started this group and we are all so grateful for that.

Here we go, month three in the pregnancy journey 👣

@Hollyjeanh I also have another scan tomorrow morning as at my scan last week they could see a yolk sac and fetal pole but not a heartbeat yet so that's the hope tomorrow. I'll be thinking of you. Read @Bumpingalong84 'a story on the previous thread for a positive outcome. Certainly helped me xx

Hollyjeanh · 03/10/2019 09:43

@mrsf1204 ohhh! What time is your scan? Mines at 11.15. How far along were you at your last scan? I was 5+4 and saw sac and yolk but no fetal pole! Thankyou I will check it out. I doubt I will sleep tonight ha. Xx

mrsf1204 · 03/10/2019 09:57

@Hollyjeanh I was bang on 6 weeks. 4 weeks from conception. Mine is 9:30 although it's walk in so will probably have to sit and wait...

Lifesforlivingandloving · 03/10/2019 09:58

@JBFletcherstypewriter
Welcome and all the best of luck!
Hoping the EPU see you and everything will be ok x💕

ChampooPapi · 03/10/2019 10:10

@Lifesforlivingandloving Great to hear from you, looks like we are a very similar time, due on the 4th myself but I always underestimate so could be more like the 1st or 2nd (but who knows of these mysterious things really untill actual measuring!)

I'm phoning Wednesday for to book the 12 week. I'm pleased everything is going well your end, do you suffer the sickness or the heads, I think I'm getting through it now (heave Grin).

Are you working or at home with a little one?

Ooh new thread, I love how active this one is, keeps me distracted at work when it’s quiet 😉

Good luck to those having scans and results today / tomorrow x

ChampooPapi · 03/10/2019 10:11

@ChampooPapi

I think I'll actually be due later than estimated but really don't know until the 12week scan
It'll be nice to have a date to work with though 😊

Ive felt nauseous since the week before my missed period but not yet actually been sick at all . It seems to have eased a bit the last few days though. It worried me at first but then I've heard it does start to calm down a little from 9 weeks as the placenta takes over more

I had shingles last week too so that wasn't pleasant but feeling much better now !
How are your symptoms?

I'm working full time x this is my first baby x
How about you? X

Hi @ChampooPapi and hello ladies.

I'm still here.....always takes me so long to catch up on all the messages. I'm now 9 + 3 and had my first midwife appointment yesterday. I've felt rubbish all the way through and have really struggled with the nausea. It seemed to ease a little during last week (week 8) but then I completely went off food and fluids. Fluids have been my biggest struggle. I'm still getting pains but just always hope that it's normal as baby is growing. My 8-week scan (IVF) was amazing but like everyone else I'm back to worrying about things progressing waiting for my 12-week which is the 24th October. Just keeping everything crossed.

Sending lots of love to everyone and feel very grateful for having this thread to be able to listen and talk to you all 🤗

Mystie · 03/10/2019 10:26

@JBFletcherstypewriter thinking of you! I'm in very similar situation although been bleeding lightly for a week now without pain. Waiting on HCG was results in the morning and scan at EPU on Monday morning. Try not to worry bleeding is quite common and doesn't always mean the worst x

facevalue · 03/10/2019 10:28

@Lifesforlivingandloving oh my god .. shingles is so painful u poor thing. how far are you?

Hello, may I join in the chat? I’m 7+1 with my first pregnancy and have had horrible nausea since the beginning of week 4. Not been sick at all, but can barely do anything for feeling so crap!
How soon is too soon to buy maternity clothes? I’m so bloated and already can’t do my jeans up!

Helensss · 03/10/2019 10:32

@jeffsar4 my husband was there at mine although he didn’t really need to be, I was just so excited to get that point finally that I wanted him there and he wanted to be there,
Totally up to you! X

Shak19 · 03/10/2019 10:32

Hello all. Morning sickness is killing me slowly lol.
Hows everyone today x

facevalue · 03/10/2019 10:33

JBFletcherstypewriter · 03/10/2019 10:34

Thanks so much everyone, I’m just getting ready to leave for the docs now, it’s nice to feel like I’m not alone xx

@Shak19 heyyyyy welcome back. so sorry about the sickness - have you tried ginger yet? my GP recommended it and i now have a ginger tea and for 2 hours the nausea is definitely better .. some of the girls here suggested ginger bread or biscuits x

Shelbustotherescue · 03/10/2019 10:37

So little bean is doing marvellous Smile dates still on track which is good, I am 9+1 today, baby is now 24.1mm which seems huge when at 7+1 weeks it was only 9mm - EPU are really happy with everything, heart is beating away and you can see little arms and legs growing !

I have another scan in 10 days and then my 12 week scan on the 22nd - the journey of pictures is going to be so lovely to look back on.

Now to try and relax !

Hello to all the newbies Smile

@jeffsar4 she weighed me at mine and I think both of us got a shock?! She said it was the bloody volume but not sure if she was just being nice 😂😂

Good luck @JBFletcherstypewriter xx

Helensss · 03/10/2019 10:38

*blood volume

Moonstone12 · 03/10/2019 10:39

@NiffleTime I've been in maternity jeans since week 5! But this is my 4th and absolutely no stomach muscles anymore 😂 so I just bloated instantly.
