Adding myself to the new thread. Does anyone have fibroids they know about or had a known fibroids in their previous pg? I was already aware of mine before pg but was told pg will make it grow. No wonder I've been super bloated already (6+6)

BridgetJonesDaiquiri · 24/01/2019 22:18

@PastaSauceHoarder I know what you mean. Thinking positive thoughts!

jazzyjellybeans · 24/01/2019 22:20

@Sydneysider2019 I have fibroids! I'm worried about that too

GemmaJen · 25/01/2019 05:28

Just checking in 😊
Had an early scan on Wednesday and saw my little bubs heartbeat, so happy! Just hope that little bubba continues to grow - 9 weeks is my next goal 🤞 - had an mmc previously, so it makes the waiting hard, I've found having little goals really helps me keep moving forward.

Still no really obvious symptoms, so just waiting for those, lol.

hodgeheg92 · 25/01/2019 05:45

Congrats on the positive scan @GemmaJen

TwittleBee · 25/01/2019 06:45

Munchy ah thank you so much for that! Really been getting confused about it all last night reading into it. I won't bother wasting my money by getting tested.

Just so nervous as MW said good chance that Preterm PROM will happen even earlier this time round. Really hard think think of having a pram baby. Guess I'll talking to my consultant when I see them about what I can do to avoid it.

I love the idea of finding out at birth the baby's sex BUT I also really loved having DS' name ready at 20 weeks and calling him by his name throughout rest of pregnancy and beyond. I think we will find out because I am ultimately impatient.

BridgetJonesDaiquiri YES mine is awful, I sound like I am taking the piss out of people probably. The worst was walking past the bin lorry men and gagging at them Blush

Had early scan yesterday and saw a heartbeat! Saw little arm and leg nubs too, was amazing. Dated at 7+3 so that's that cleared up!

Symptoms keep coming and going but they have the whole time so trying to keep calm about it...

We are team yellow too!

Today’s app guidance: you what??

I’m feeling very worried Sad
Boobs aren’t as sore, and I don’t feel as sick.
I can’t get out of my head that I’ve had 2 healthy babies (and one chemical pregnancy), so now this is my third it’s my turn to become the “1 in 3” Sad
I’m 6+1 today according to my app, and after all the shite with my car yesterday, £600 worth of damage, I just can’t afford an early scan Sad

TwittleBee · 25/01/2019 08:27

oh that is so amazing daydreamdaisy must be lovely to have that and see so much so early!

MyBreadIsEggy you've already been the 1in3 with the CP (NHS class those as MCs). Anyway, beyond the point, just want to say please do not worry (easier said than done) but they symptoms are known to come and go! I am sorry you've got a load of financial shit going on. Could you try and get one from your EPU if you tell your MW youve had really bad cramping (bit of a white lie, unless you have) and loss of symptoms?

Around 6 weeks my boobs got less sore too. Now they feel ok with just the odd day of soreness. Do yours still feel more full?

Basically I’m heading into my tenth week tomorrow and boobs are sometimes sore sometimes not. I wouldn’t worry about it too much.,

I rarely even think about boobs anymore as this week ms started properly!

Karigan195 · 25/01/2019 08:30

I hate how they keeping telling you to exercise. I’d love to. I like exercising but every time I try I end up feeling light headed and waves of horrible nausea.

Fortheloveofscience · 25/01/2019 08:32

What’s everyone’s thoughts on the flu jab? I’ve booked mine in for Tuesday when i should be 6+4, but now feeling edgy about it. I booked it through my GP because I work in London a few days a week so get train/tube, and DH works on an acute hospital ward where he has daily contact with flu patients. But now worried that it’s too early, and will harm little bean and can’t work out if I’m being irrational because the evidence is so scarce...

Congrats to everyone who’s had happy scans Smile.

TwittleBee · 25/01/2019 08:34

Karigan same here! Spoke to my MW at booking app yesterday about why I keep feeling so faint (and have passed out couple times) they told me to stop exerting myself so much and drink more fluid as dehydration is main cause. They didnt seem concerned that I have also lost 4lbs in past 2 weeks from being unable to eat properly... hmm.

I am so reluctant on getting it Fortheloveofscience even though I know it is probably for the best. I guess we are coming out of Flu Season now

OP posts:
Megan2018 · 25/01/2019 08:37

@Fortheloveofscience
I am booked for flu jab Monday, will be 7+1
MW advice was asap, I don’t have any concerns about having it.

MunchyMunchkin · 25/01/2019 08:40

@fortheloveofscience lots of nasty influenza a around at the moment which is flooring otherwise well young adults. I don’t think it’s too late in the season and probably still worth it. Being unwell with flu would be risky in early pregnancy.

@karigan195 this is actually true! Pregnancy can leech calcium from your bones as the foetus is prioritised over everything else.

Karigan195 · 25/01/2019 08:49

Might explain why I’ve fancied yoghurts all this week. Normally eat them once in a blue moon! Funny how your body steers you towards what it needs

Fortheloveofscience · 25/01/2019 08:53

Thanks everyone, makes me feel better. I am going to stick with the appt I think. DH scared me, apparently at one point last year they had 9 pregnant women in ITU with flu complications Shock.

TwittleBee, I thought that we’d probably be coming to the end of flu season, but when I looked it up actually the peak is in Jan/Feb so we’re still in the very middle of it.

PastaSauceHoarder · 25/01/2019 08:55

My body must need sausage, chips and gravy then because thats all I fancied last night. Grin

Karigan195 · 25/01/2019 08:58

Lol I think that’s the increased carbs to help with the extra energy expense. I have a new love for chicken and mushroom pie and chips with gravy. I normally hate anything where sauces mix and can’t stand mushroom 😂😂😂

Fortheloveofscience · 25/01/2019 08:58

MyBread please try not to worry. This week I felt shocking on Monday, better on Tuesday, Wednesday/Thursday felt completely normal only v slightly sore boobs and today all symptoms are back with a vengeance.

TwittleBee · 25/01/2019 09:01

eek Fortheloveofscience I was just going off what my MW told me yesterday. I know it is just coincidence as the virus they give you is not active but every time I have had the flu jab I have become really ill. I should really get it done then if we haven't peaked in the season yet.

OP posts:
PastaSauceHoarder · 25/01/2019 09:01

I'll take that @Karigan195! Its the carbs. Wink

For the past two weeks I've been having a huge helping of broccoli with every evening meal - now just typing the word makes me feel sick, I've gone well off it. 🤢

Megan2018 · 25/01/2019 09:07

@TwittleBee
My MW was most insistent about having it (I know I still have a choice). But the leaflet she gave me and the examples of miscarriage due to flu that she gave scared me witless - I literally booked the flu jab as I left the booking apt.

As I am still recovering from this hideous cold the last thing I want is to feel ill again after the jab - but equally this cold has floored me. I dread to think what flu would do!

I have to have aspirin from 12 weeks and whooping cough vaccine at 20. I think the aspirin is age related though.
