Congratulations @snowrose92! I don’t even know when mine is yet and I’m 8+1.

I think my midwife sends off for it and I’m seeing her Monday, hopefully I’ll know by the end of next week but still feels like forever away

MyBreadIsEggy · 25/01/2019 16:46

Nausea came back a little this afternoon - felt like spew was imminent every time I took a step in Tesco Confused
But that’s a good sign I guess!

BBell2 · 25/01/2019 17:08

Aww congratulations @snowrose that's lovely! And to those who had scans in the last few days it sounds like many have gone well.

Will be getting the flu jab because OH has one for work and DD did too. With last pregnancy and lengthy breastfeeding I had the last 3-4years with no effect.

Welshathart1 · 25/01/2019 17:15

Hi All,
Im new to this, I m hoping I've joined the right chat?! Ive worked out i'm 7wks 5days, with my second, so due September. Ive got my booking with the midwife next week.
The nausea, constant bloating, uncomfortable tummy, extreme fatigue has really set in. Im struggling to think how will I get through the next 4-6 weeks feeling this awful.
Anyone else feeling the same? xx

MyBreadIsEggy · 25/01/2019 18:00

Sorry to be the Debbie downer - and not trying to scaremonger those of you who are having your first DCs....but my kids are literally possessed by Satan today.
They are 2&3 and totally of their heads. I love them, and I this pregnancy is a very much wanted baby, but at the same time I’m thinking “Why the fuck am I doing this again?!”
The toddler stage is fucking brutal Confused

TwittleBee · 25/01/2019 18:02

Hahaha yup I agree with you MyBreadIsEggy ! Toddler stage is hardest by far so far.

Twittle seriously, once they’ve gone to bed, I think I need to just sit in a dark room and rock back and forth for a while Confused

boodles101 · 25/01/2019 18:08

My DS has come home from nursery looking a bit spotty. Really hoping it's not chicken pox, could really do without that right now!!!

TwittleBee · 25/01/2019 18:33

Mines got chicken pox atm boodles101 apparently it's only a concern to us if we haven't had it before

MyBreadIsEggy · 25/01/2019 18:53

THink my youngest may have the pox too Confused

TwittleBee · 25/01/2019 18:53

Twittle I’m the East of England

PastaSauceHoarder · 25/01/2019 18:56

My toddler is a dream usually but she had her first public tantrum today. She wanted to play on the bouncy castle at playgroup but she didn't want to take her shoes off - threw a wobbly when I took her shoes off and put her on the bouncy castle, threw a wobbly when I put her shoes on and took her AWAY from the bouncy castle. Theres no telling a 19-month-old. 🙄😂

TwittleBee · 25/01/2019 18:59

Same here MyBreadIsEggy so maybe it's doing the rounds!

They are funny what gets into their heads aren't they PastaSauceHoarder

boodles101 · 25/01/2019 19:15

twittlebee I'm in the south east but it is doing the rounds here, there was a notice up at his nursery last week saying confirmed case so I wouldn't be surprised if it is. I'm not convinced though, and I've definitely had it. It's just more of a pain for the time off!

MyBreadIsEggy · 25/01/2019 19:19

There was a notice up in DDs preschool and the nursery next door saying it was doing the rounds.
Urrgggghh. Little disease carrying creatures aren’t they?!

hodgeheg92 · 25/01/2019 19:19

@MyBreadIsEggy You sound like I did in the midst of no sleep hell! It's all just a phase though, right? Wink Grin

I haven't got a midwife appointment or a scan date yet, the appointment I made with the midwife before was booked in error by the receptionist - I just needed to fill out a self referral form. She said I'd come very early and I wouldn't have my booking till over 8 weeks and that they'll call me. Have a private scan booked for 9th Feb and very much looking forward to that.

I have really gone off the smell of DHs aftershave, it makes me feel so sick! Haven't had the heart to tell him yet though.

LaBelleSausage · 25/01/2019 19:57

@hodgeheg92 we’re private scan date twins! Grin feels so far away although it’s only two weeks. I just want to know everything is ok

Florencenotflo · 25/01/2019 20:21

@hodgeheg92 just the smell of my DH is making me heave at the moment. I had to tell him earlier, he laughed but understands Grin I think he's eaten a few pungent meals the last few days and the smell of garlic on him is turning my stomach!

I've been fancying a Chinese all week, had a busy day so gave in and ordered it for 7:30. It's still not fucking here Angry first world problems an all but I've really not fancied anything to eat for weeks. I thought I could have this and an early night. No such luck!

Fortheloveofscience · 26/01/2019 09:10

So yesterday I went to bed at 3.30(pm!), got up at 8am this morning and promptly threw up. Joyous.

Easterbuns1 · 26/01/2019 09:30

My belly has totally popped this morning! I know it's only bloat but I'm quite pleased as I was super bloated from day one last time and the lack of bloat was a bit concerning!

Is anyone else up in the night to pee? I'm up twice! Try not to drink too much in the evenings and I'm still up twice.

PastaSauceHoarder · 26/01/2019 09:52

My tummy is definitely bigger now, @Easterbuns1! I've always had a little baby pouch since having DD but now I officially can't see my toes anymore if looking directly down. 😂

Waves of morning sickness today, first thing toddler DD decided to do when she woke up was a poo. I got halfway through the nappy and then had to call in DH to finish. 🤢 If this pregnancy is anything like the last then I'll start throwing up this week...

MyBreadIsEggy · 26/01/2019 10:06

I’m even more ill than I was the other day.
My ribs are sore from coughing so much! This always happens to me - the second I get pregnant, my immune system just gives up doing its job and I get sick. I had shingles in the the first trimester of both previous pregnancies Envy

PastaSauceHoarder · 26/01/2019 10:08

Oh god and as if by magic I just threw up...

BridgetJonesDaiquiri · 26/01/2019 10:11

Just had my first blood test of this pregnancy and remembered that my veins are shit - poor nurse was ages hunting for a decent vein and tutting Hmm. Apparently keeping drinking a load of water before a blood test is the key to juicy veins!
