Thanks TwittleBee. Posting so I can find this later!
Interesting what you said about Chemical Pregnancies - I have never been too sure of the difference between that and MC.

TwittleBee · 24/01/2019 16:22

Tbf I only heard of it because of MN Megan and appear to have foolishly just taken that as medical certainty when I posted on here about getting a BFP only to start bleeding couple days later.

Oops I answered on the other post Megan then saw there was a new one :)

TwittleBee · 24/01/2019 16:30

@porge123 yeah I did on Tuesday at 5+5 ! Hope everything goes okay for you. You're likely to just see a sac and yolk and there's a very very very small chance of seeing a heartbeat. It's also likely to be internal as a warning

Oh can join? First baby, got my booking app tomorrow and 12 week scan on 12th feb.
Symptoms are massive boobs sore and swollen areola, feel sick occasionally. Also told I have possible bicornuate or sub septate uterus

Hsunshine · 24/01/2019 17:23

I feel like I’m never gonna get my booking in or scan. Apparently most booking in here is at 11

mrss2018 · 24/01/2019 17:54

Just swapping over x

abi2790 · 24/01/2019 17:57

Hello all (and welcome to those that have joined us!). Sorry I haven't been around, this cold totally wiped me out. Luckily I'm just reaching the end of it now.
I have my booking in on 28th Jan when I'll be 9+3. When I booked it I would have been 8+3 but obviously the private scan changed my dates. I will have to discuss that with the mw. Will they amend my due date or will they still go off my estimated first day of period and then I'll have to wait longer for 12 week scan?!
Also will need to discuss my hospital visit. Baby will need to have a thyroid check once they are born due to the dye used when I had a scan of my lungs. At least it's been an eventful pregnancy already!

PastaSauceHoarder · 24/01/2019 18:22

Just placemarking, will come back later once the toddler is in bed - thanks for the new thread @TwittleBee! Smile

TwittleBee · 24/01/2019 18:24

They most likely won't change it till dating scan abi2790 they didn't change mine after my reassurance NHS scan, MW said they prefer going off the official dating scan dates.

Hello everyone, just checking in here nothing to report.

6 weeks tomorrow, time is going SO slowly. Still no word from midwife re booking appt but I have booked my flu jab for next week because I’m higher risk because of DH’s job.

MunchyMunchkin · 24/01/2019 18:35

I thought a chemical was when you had a positive before period due but then period came anyway. Probably wrong 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’m having. NIPTY privately at 10+6. Planning on finding out the sex but going to ask for the result in an envelope to find out after 20 weeks. I’ve got a thing about not getting too attached.
Didn’t find out with DD but I would like to get rid of all her girl clothes if it’s a boy.

MyBreadIsEggy · 24/01/2019 19:09

Munchy that is a chemical pregnancy isn’t it?
I had one between DS and this pregnancy Sad
Was horrible. Being happy that I was pregnant one day, and devasted that I no longer was the following day.

hodgeheg92 · 24/01/2019 19:09

Hey. What's the NIPT that people keep mentioning? @porge123 Hope everything is okay x

I kind of think I'd like to know the sex this time, although DD was a surprise. I'd like to know which bags of clothes to wash and prep! But will speak to DH nearer the time, right now we're not really talking about the pregnancy with DDs awful sleep, my return to work from maternity leave and our bathroom renovation filling our free time.

MyBreadIsEggy · 24/01/2019 19:11

Also speaking of antenatal testing, is their anyone else who doesn’t have any of it?
I’m happy to have the two diagnostic scans at 12 and 20 weeks, but other than that, no other antenatal testing (blood or otherwise).

MyBreadIsEggy · 24/01/2019 19:12

hodge it’s a type of in-depth antenatal testing
www.arc-uk.org/tests-explained/non-invasive-prenatal-testing-nipt

TwittleBee · 24/01/2019 19:22

Yeah Munchy and MyBreadIsEggy but that isn't "AF" but a MC my MW was telling me, she basically said CP is a MC. The term CP isn't recognised.

Hmm I have all the tests offered by NHS, so had my bloods and urine done today at booking appointment to catch that 10 week deadline for them MyBreadIsEggy I guess I just want to know if I have anything that will pass onto baby, if I have any wrong with my blood or if my baby will need extra care as soon as it's born.

So DS has fricking chicken pox... I'll be fine right? I've had it before?

Easterbuns1 · 24/01/2019 19:24

@MyBreadIsEggy I refused the blood test for downs screening with my older two as at that point I wouldn't have acted on any results although they still took measurements at my scans.

I'm undecided this time round though as my situation is different.

ButtonTum · 24/01/2019 19:24

Evening. Marking my place.
