I have a wedding tomorrow already had a melt down about dresses I'm blaming hormones!

I won't be drinking, wouldn't mind a small glass of fizz for the toast but any wiff of alcohol turns my stomach! So weird given I really enjoyed my wine and gin before!

jeanzbeanz · 31/08/2018 18:34

If anyone's planning to do any maternity clothes shopping at New Look (apparently their jersey tees / leggings are good), I have a code for 20% off this weekend: NLICELAND20

Since2016 · 31/08/2018 18:34

Thanks for new thread!

I’m on the hunt for maternity dungarees but an initial online look suggests nothing for tall people - shame! They’re also great for BF! This week bump is suddenly v round and front! Residual puffiness elsewhere has disappeared. I’ve had to buy a few more bits -eBay and ASOS mostly - as I realised I’d bought so little last time round as I didn’t show really until 20 weeks and didn’t need proper mat clothes (other than jeans) till much later on. Glad I’ve got several pairs of jeans and leggings already though.

So I have another scan on mon but DH isn’t coming (I have another 2 this month so he can’t come to them all) so going to have to say to them not to tell me if they can tell as I want him to be with me but I’m excited to find out! I think girl but he thinks boy...

I was also v strict re booze last time - this time I’ll have a drink at Christmas I reckon but as my DH doesn’t really drink v much at all there he’s of the total abstinence view - but Christmas won’t hurt?!

Adding myself here 🙌🏽

DragonFlew · 31/08/2018 18:47

Place marking 💕

Lookingforadvice123 · 31/08/2018 18:48

Place marking as I just commented on the old one Hmm

welshweasel · 31/08/2018 18:48

@since2016 I bought some from jojo today. I’m almost 6 foot and they are a great fit. Huge mind, I’m usually a 14-16 and bought a 12.

DeliberatelyGinger · 31/08/2018 19:05

H&M have some nice maternity tshirts and some interesting patterned trousers. I'm wearing the butterfly tshirt right now and it looks lush. Be aware! They are changing their sizing; so if you were a large like me you might now be a medium (which is what I'm wearing now)

Fiep · 31/08/2018 19:05

Hello everyone!

@Since2016 I have the same problem! Buying trousers is hard enough for tall ladies without the added complication of bumps! I ordered some maternity jeans from Long Tall Sally which should arrive in the next couple of days. I’ll let you know how they are.

@welshweasel thanks for the tip on jojo- I’ll check out their stuff too :)

In other news I had my first community midwife appointment today and got to hear baby’s heartbeat Smile. So special and helped me feel more connected too. My anomaly scan isn’t until I’m 20 weeks so it was nice to get a ‘sign of life’ iykwim!

Since2016 · 31/08/2018 19:23

Ah @welshweasel that’s fab thanks worth a go then!! I’m pretty set now I think as have work dresses, a few new tops and other bits that will work for maternity. I’m finding this capsule wardrobe challenging though!

Since2016 · 31/08/2018 19:24

Lovely news @fiep I’m looking forward to my scan on Monday!

bubblybrit · 31/08/2018 19:29

👋 Hope everyone is enjoying their Friday evening!

Lulabell1 · 31/08/2018 19:31

Just marking happy weekend!

hayley013 · 31/08/2018 19:51

I need maternity jeans, gonna go have a look in H&M, I'm so petite so it's difficult to get something comfy on the tummy but fitted enough for pencil legs 😂 xx

MakeLemonade · 31/08/2018 19:53

Yep, I am living in the JoJo black dungarees and they are long and super comfy/stretchy fit so def need to size down or two. I’ve bought the denim ones too, they aren’t quite as stretchy so you might not want to blindly buy the same size like I did!

My 20 week scan isn’t until 4th October but I’m in for a scan next week to further investigate my ongoing bleeding. Hoping they might find a cause and put my mind at rest!

MakeLemonade · 31/08/2018 19:55

@hayley013 have you tried the topshop skinny maternity jeans? The harder denim ones might do the trick and they don’t sag in the way some skinny jeans do (or didn’t when I bought them three years ago anyway!).

AliceRR · 31/08/2018 20:06

I’m tempted by the black JoJo dungarees... There’s a a store in a nearby town so might see if I can make time to go this weekend and try some bits in between house viewings!

welshweasel · 31/08/2018 20:09

There’s a 15% off jojo code plus free returns but expires tonight. OFF15. You could always send for some in a couple of sizes and return the ones that don’t fit!

clairehr · 31/08/2018 20:20

Place marking, but struggling to keep up with conversations on here 😂

AliceRR · 31/08/2018 20:27

Thanks @welshweasel I shall have a look!

Since2016 · 31/08/2018 20:57

Anyone else on #2+ not sure that this is the last? I think (must be mad) I’d quite like a third but DH isn’t keen...

maxiflump1 · 31/08/2018 21:06

@Since2016 ha no!! Number 2 for me too but definitely no number 3! I'll be 38 by the time this ones born and will definitely be done by then.
