@Baby160P - I'm 18 weeks tomorrow. Felt kicks for the first time on weds and felt definite movement since but not necessarily kicks. X

Baby160P · 01/09/2018 11:17

@Yakadee that's so exciting! I can't wait for that to happen as it doesn't feel real at the moment.

My father in law said they used to only have the 20 week scan, I can't imagine that. You'd not know you are actually pregnant with how I feel!

Yakadee · 01/09/2018 11:37

@Baby160P - my mum and mum in law haven't ever had a scan! My mum has 3 abd Mil 2! That just seems crazy.

We're going to get an additional scan after our 20 week one so that mum's can come along as they've never seen one. Can't wait to see their faces x

lanalawr · 01/09/2018 11:47

@powkin I'm so pleased they've been able to rule out triploidy, Down's, Edward's and Patau's. It's clearly not over but that's positive news and it sounds like they'll keep a closer eye on you and the baby now too. Fingers crossed the kidney scan comes through soon. Enjoy your holiday and try to make the most of your time away/relaxing.

@Since2016 I'm not ruling out more. DH is keen on only two but also willing to not completely draw a line under a third! So we're saying this is probably the last but keeping it open. I'd feel sad about knowing it's my last and would probably put pressure on myself by thinking 'this is the last time I'll feel a baby move/have a newborn/have a baby smile or laugh for the first time' etc. I'd feel more guilty on the bad days I think.

Notquiteagandt · 01/09/2018 11:48

@Yakadee my grandma had twins. She had a few older children so was fairly familiar with what things should feel like. So she knew she was having twins as could feel 2 babies moving around. But apparently this was rare. It was common for most mothers of multiples to be clueless until labour. As there was no ultrasounds.

Which is crazy to think!!

I took my mother to my 12w scan she got all emotional and couldnt believe how much they had come on since the 80s. Sat there mouth open just going wow and squealing every little thing baby did.

Was a lovely bonding experience.

So they will be in for a treat.

Hi Guys, quick question about early movements...what does it feel like? I’m 15 5 and this is my first and today I’ve been feeling sort of tickly scrapes...😂 not sure if Its just stretching though x

Alicejj8x · 01/09/2018 13:04

@powkin
I am so relived for you hun .. still a way to go like you say but that's such good news atm x

Alicejj8x · 01/09/2018 13:04

Wow new thread already we are a talkative bunch

Yakadee · 01/09/2018 14:09

@Notquiteagandt - aww can't wait!

Could you imagine going into labour and having quads or something lol crazy! X

Alicejj8x · 01/09/2018 14:48

@Baby160P how far along are you now?

I am 15+2 and like you I don't feel pregnant. I think the 2nd trimester at the start is a worry cause feeling fine is normal but until you feel kicks you do worry

I have a Doppler so I am reassured by what I've heard but I would say have faith in your body and baby is just all ok and snuggly in there & when you have your appointment hopefully there for the heart beat and your be reassured by that xxx

hayley013 · 01/09/2018 15:26

We had our gender scan this morning and are team PINK!!! Baby was being awkward but we got there in the end and everything was looking good. Got some 4D photos too which was lovely. DD is absolutely over the moon she's gonna have a sister 😊

That’s wonderful news @powkin - what an awful scare. Now enjoy your holiday!

@leonara94 I’m not sure that that’s movement - that’s very early. I didn’t feel DD move till at least 17 weeks and even then It was more fluttering / whoosh feelings. I’ve had a few ‘I wonder if that’s movement’ feelings but not expecting much at this stage - im 16weeks. Proper kicks from 20 weeks.

Baby160P · 01/09/2018 15:44

@Alicejj8x 15+3 so pretty much the same.

It's not nice the unknown. I did consider a Doppler but will wait until midwife app Wednesday as I'd worry I can't find it bring a anterior placenta.

@hayley013 congrats! I think you're one of the only ones on here I've heard having a girl so far ❤️

Yakadee · 01/09/2018 15:45

@hayley013 - congratulations! A lovely baby girl xx

Alicejj8x · 01/09/2018 16:10

@Baby160P
I think I too Have anterior that what it says on one of my private scan notes but nothing on my actual nhs notes :/
But yeah wait for wed and your hear your little peanut x

bubblybrit · 01/09/2018 16:16

Great news @hayley013. Welcome to team pink!! It’s nice to have someone join me as most are having boys from what I can remember reading on previous threads!

powkin · 01/09/2018 16:19

Au revoir everyone! Obviously left packing and getting to the airport to the absolute last minute and it was incredibly stressful rather than relaxing! Miffy was given to me by my best friend when I was around 16 and I’m hoping will be one of Pip’s first toys, so we are taking her on an adventure.

That's so cute! Have a great time x

Lookingforadvice123 · 01/09/2018 16:29

Have a great time powkin!

hayley013 congratulations on the girl!!! We find out a week today eek.

MakeLemonade · 01/09/2018 16:33

I’ve been having movement for the last week or so, I’m 16 weeks tomorrow but with number three which I thinks help feel it earlier. Tickly scrape is quite accurate!

hayley013 · 01/09/2018 17:10

Thanks everyone ❤️ it's been an emotional day finding out, I think hormones are running very high, I just feel absolutely drained and flat as much as we're thrilled with finding out she's a girl. I'm running a hot bath and remaining horizontal the rest of the day if I can xx

MakeLemonade · 01/09/2018 17:22

That sounds like a good plan @hayley013 - congrats on another girl, I have two girls and it’s ace!

DeliberatelyGinger · 01/09/2018 17:46

That's so cute @Powkin
