I posted this on one of the guess the gender threads so thought I might as well do it here too! Any guesses? I haven't got a clue about any nub or skull theories!

@Since2016 yeah I think you’re probably right - I’m just really excitied and reading too much into anything!

hayley013 · 02/09/2018 08:05

I'm definitely feeling little kicks this morning, quite strong for just being the size of an avocado! Xx

Pepper123123 · 02/09/2018 08:23

Hellooo! I'd like to join in too!

Baby #2 for me after a ten year gap thinking I didn't want any more children.

I find out (hopefully) tomorrow if we're having a boy or girl.

IndiX · 02/09/2018 09:01

@Lookingforadvice123 I can't see the nug that clearly but I'd say Girl!
I was right with my little boy's nub Grin

Bluelagoon25 · 02/09/2018 14:15

We had a gender scan today and we are team pink...!!
None of the family knows yet as we are having a roast and telling them this evening, so hard to keep it to myself 👶🏼💖

Yakadee · 02/09/2018 15:02

@Bluelagoon25 - aww a lovely girl! Congratulations xx

Hi all, not sure if it’s all the travelling or suddenly eating different foods but I have SUCH bad heartburn. Had to go out first thing and buy antacids. Spent ages checking online what’s safe first but man right now I’d take anything! I’ve taken two loads of liquid in 2 hours now and it’s barely made a dent Confused. Anyone else suffering?

AliceRR · 02/09/2018 16:13

I’ve got heatburn too

Yakadee · 02/09/2018 16:22

I've had it a few times. Seems to be in the middle of the night for some reason? X

Notquiteagandt · 02/09/2018 16:27

Yep 😭 been on omaprozole since 6weeks but its not touching the edges.

I find ice cream and ice cold drinks help.

Worse thing feel for you! Flowers

Notquiteagandt · 02/09/2018 16:35

So lovely seeing you all finding out genders. Much needed boost today. (Even if I have to wait until 1st for my turn to find out !)

Reminds me why I am doing all this. To have a baby at the end of it.

Todays been horrendous. Wide awake 3:30am as per usual. Threw up over 20 times before even got to 6:30.

So feeling very very sorry for myself today.

Whoever said HG eases a little at 15w. Well om 16w tomorrow and my bodies reminding me it is still very much here with a vengange. 😥

Looking like trip to hospital again maybe in order.

Baby160P · 02/09/2018 16:38

@powkin yes to the heartburn but also my symptoms seemed too et much worse after flying. Not sure if there is a link!?

Oh bless you @powkin I had it so bad with DD. I found tiny sips of freezing cold milk helped, stay away from anything acidic or fizzy drinks, my midwife suggested love heart sweets but that was the day before I had her so never got round to trying it. Contact your doctors when you get back and you'll be able to get gaviscon on prescription, I drank bottles upon bottles of the stuff xx

Surprisedmom · 02/09/2018 17:13

I had my 16 week appointment today and had to do the whole 1.5 hour booking appointment again because i’ve moved trusts. They didn’t measure me or listen for baby’s heart beat and I found out they don’t tell me the gender at the 20 week scan, I have to pay for ANOTHER scan. I’m really upset as it just seems like a money making scam to me since they could tell me in seconds. Given all my Epu trips due to early bleeding I have already had 5 scans and even after another I still won’t know the gender. I’m very upset now.

Yakadee · 02/09/2018 17:14

@Notquiteagandt - that sounds awful! You poor thing. I really hope it eases and you feel better soon x

twiglet · 02/09/2018 17:18

We found out today that we are having a little boy 🙂
Our scan wasn't too expensive £35 which was at babyscan centre

Yakadee · 02/09/2018 17:23

@twiglet - congratulations! Xxx

powkin · 02/09/2018 17:25

@hayley013 @Baby160P glad I’m not the only one. I’m also feeling incredibly cold, I’m hoping it’s just jet lag, I was shivering last night (think I got too cold sitting with American air con before we switched it off!). Bloody hormones :(

Finding it hard to relax with one thing after another and then the hormones increasing my heart rate that also makes me feel more on edge!

Going to go out in the sunshine in a little bit and do a walking tour so hopefully I’ll feel better.

Koalatom1 · 02/09/2018 17:39

Wow that’s a cheap scan! Ours would be £59 or one place was £170!

jeanzbeanz · 02/09/2018 18:34

I just removed an inch long black hair from my thigh 😱 the hairiness situation is getting out of control!!

Lookingforadvice123 · 02/09/2018 19:25

Yey congratulations on all the gender scans ladies!

powkin I'm not so much suffering with heartburn, more with acid reflux which feels like a lump of bile or something in my gullet most of the time, there doesn't seem to be a pattern with what I'm eating or anything.

Have you tried Gaviscon? That's what everyone says is the best in pregnancy

Yakadee · 02/09/2018 19:27

@Koalatom1 - tell me about it! I'm having to shave my legs every other day at the min! X

AliceRR · 02/09/2018 19:43

Seriously both DH and my mother have told me to sort out the hairs on my chin! I mean we all get the odd hair, I think, but now I have long dark hairs on my chin that need attention every day!!

Think I need to get the laser hair removal tool out...
