Lilkel, hope it is ok. I'll email you my mobile number now if you're still around. Text me if something happens. (((HUGS)))

DaisysGotABigBump · 16/05/2007 12:38

Holly...looks you'd better get on with that buddy list and fast!!

hollyandalice · 16/05/2007 12:39

I know, I've just emailed lilkel my number so if she's still around at least she'll be able to text someone!

I was going to crack on after lunch, so you should all be buddied up this afternoon!

annobal · 16/05/2007 12:39

Did you know you can get this for your Phil and Teds (if this link doesn't work, it is under accessories, called Hip Bag and Belt) - it's not particularly stylish but sits on top of the sun cover and is good storage.

Hope everyone's aches are ok - childminder is here so am off for a rest... Now, noone is to have a baby while I'm gone

annobal · 16/05/2007 12:40

Good luck Lilkel

BadZelda · 16/05/2007 12:52

Actually time seems to have sloooowed right down for me - maybe because I'm itching to finish work (finding it really hard to find cover for myself that doesn't consist of about 3 people job-sharing though). Have just been down to Brixton on my bike and bubs seems to be riding v. high: no pressure on bumps - so I'll probably still be here in July...

foxybrown · 16/05/2007 12:55

Good luck Lilkel! We're all thinking of you. lots of love honey xxxxxx

BadZelda · 16/05/2007 12:55

Go Lilkel!

foxybrown · 16/05/2007 12:56

BZ at you on your bike!

twinkle5 · 16/05/2007 13:02

good luck lilkel!

BadZelda · 16/05/2007 13:03

I'm v careful I promise! 10 mins on a bike vs a walk and 20 mins on the bus...it's a no brainer for me...better than fanjo pain and bh's from walking (can't help walking way too fast: it's in my nature)

foxybrown · 16/05/2007 13:08

FFS! I'm going to get bugger all done this afternoon now - will be on here waiting for news on Lilkel!

If I'm still here at 3.25 somebody PLEASE remind me I have a child to pick up at 3.30!

DaisysGotABigBump · 16/05/2007 13:22

Very admirable you're still cycling BadZ....you put the rest of us lazy sods to shame!

Oooh, how exciting, go Lilkel, go.....

I'm hoping that by setting a date for an elective, I'll have tempted fate and bub will arrive long before then....

riabutterflew · 16/05/2007 13:22

Hi. It's all very excting on here.

I had a rotton night waking up at every twinge and having a bizarre dream about going to hospital and sitting up in bed and a baby just wooshing out (wishful thinking), but I was alone in the dark and it was a hedgehog-baby. Think I might be INSANE.

Have been back in DS1s room this morning. I think he might think twice next time he decides NOT to tidy his room when asked (still a bit evil but not shouty anymore - til after school of course.) DS2 didn't go to sleep til gone 11 last night because I had got cross. Will try harder to be nice mummy tonight.

Need to get on...

hollyandalice · 16/05/2007 13:23

I've sort of paired everyone up with text buddies. Some people already have each other's mobile numbers so I've sort of paired them up and I've kind of tried (as far as I know) to pair up people that live near each other.

On my list so far I have-
Foxy,
Doggus,
Natty,
Zelda,
Annobal,
Seansgirl,
Daisy,
Bumper,
Lilkel,
Catkin,
Ria
and me!

Is there anyone else around that wants a text buddy? If so let me know and I'll pair you up with someone. My email is my MN name at hotmail.co.uk.

hollyandalice · 16/05/2007 13:25

Lilkel has just sent me an email saying she got the email with my mobile number. If she texts me I'll jump on straight away and let everyone know that she's ok.

foxybrown · 16/05/2007 13:36

Holly - you MUST NOT get up and leave the computer all day. You must sit there from now until bedtime. Put CBeebies on ready for DD.

As you have just heard from her you had better go and stock up on snacks and drinks and keep them within reaching distance. Then put your feet up and wait please.

You may pee, if you absolutely have to. (But if you could use Tena's, then better still)

Your Ante-natal club needs YOU!

hollyandalice · 16/05/2007 13:39

Lol, cbeebies is on already! Can I go and put dd down for her nap?!

foxybrown · 16/05/2007 13:40

yes, but don't fall asleep with her!

DaisysGotABigBump · 16/05/2007 13:43

Holly....might I suggest that you get Alice's potty and keep it handy....

I'm sure there wil be more on the text buddies as some people only dip in and out every few days...it's only us sad acts that are here all day every day....

Mind you, with less than 3 weeks to go, I'd better get off and do some more nesting!!

I had a pretty pooey night last night as well Ria, but surprisingly don't feel that tired today. I've had three dreams now where the baby either turned into a cat or was a cat already and in each one I couldn't BF cos it kept on biting me....i think that's my BF worries surfacing there!

hollyandalice · 16/05/2007 13:49

Right, I've just put dd down for her nap and been for a wee. I have a cup of tea and some cow biscuits and neighbours is on. I should be good for a while!

foxybrown · 16/05/2007 13:51

Sympathy Ria, mine aren't going to sleep until 9ish. Drives me mad. Playing up in the morning too.

Poor DP the only time he sees them they are being buggers. Unlike now when DS2 is watching Monsters Inc very quietly as he is very very tired

hollyandalice · 16/05/2007 13:52

TEXT BUDDIES-

Foxy - Doggus
Natty - Zelda
Annobal - Seansgirl
Daisy - Bumper
Catkin - Ria
Lilkel - Holly

What I will do is email you all with your buddy's number and email address. Hope you are all ok with your buddies!! xxx

Twiga · 16/05/2007 13:56

Oooooo, another June baby maybe on the way, very exciting!

I'm another one who's wondering about the whole VBAC v's section thing. I think I'm set on trying for VBAC, labour really ot great last time, dd back to back and never progressed past 4/5cms - induced on the Monday, dd arrived Weds eve by section - 54hrs in total - not fun! My main concern is the internals, I had a bad reaction to the pessaries and needed gas&air to get through the internals in between time (apparently this can happen). Also when I went for a sweep before hand my mw said cervix high and far back, could barely reach, but still had a good rumage anyway - very sore and thinking about it unnecessary - she could have just left it as it was obvious things weren't ready. Saw consultant on Monday as was in for scan and she mentioned that they would give me 7 days to go over then could induce to strict timetable, still able to have sweep etc. Was clearheaded and fine about it all but now every time I even think about the whole induction/sweep thing I feel like throwing up. I think I'll refuse any sweeps but not sure what to do about induction as if it involves pessaries again then I don't think I could face it - part of me thinks if it gets to 7 days over than I'll push for extra time and if that's a no go then may just opt for the EC.

Much sympathy to everyone else trying to work this dilemma out, it's hard. Any words of wisdom, gratefully recieved!

Sympathy to to everyone suffering with spd and/or heartburn. Feel like a cripple and heartburn is making me throw up with the horrible acid reflux.

foxybrown · 16/05/2007 13:59

Poor Twiga - sounds horrid
