Aww didnt know Nannyjo had a boy - Congrats

annobal · 16/05/2007 10:27

Foxy, I got snagged by the donuts too. I'd already promised pancakes for lunch (courtesy of Fifi), now I've just got to find out how make them . Think I might have to turn the tv off.

Like the new thread title...

kittykitt · 16/05/2007 10:33

Morning!
Great thread title - though it just brings it home to you that the due dates are looming ever near...

Toblerone half finished - looking forward to the rest tonight whilst watching The Aprrentice.
Of course, i was sharing it with you all in spirit

annobal · 16/05/2007 10:38

Yay apprentice tonight (omg how boring has my life become that I am looking forward to the apprentice).

Mmmn toblerone and champagne

LieselVentouse · 16/05/2007 10:45

"Got snagged by the donuts" sounds painful

kittykitt · 16/05/2007 10:58

I'm the same, annobel. A friend has kindly offered to cook for me tonight but have told her that i will be watching The Apprentice either at her house, or back at mine in time for it.
The thought of chilled champagne, bubbles, maybe some strawberries too.......

disapprovingmum · 16/05/2007 10:59

Champagne? How very irresponsible to suggest such a thing so soon after childbirth...

hollyandalice · 16/05/2007 11:07

Is that you foxy, you disapproving witch?!

Good thread title! My farking leg has gone funny again so I'm sat on the sofa with my legs propped up. Wouldn't be so bad if the bloody teletubbies weren't on!

Great news on your t-mobile refund bz! Glad you gave them some stick!

evenfattercatkin · 16/05/2007 11:08

Grin Wink Grin

hollyandalice · 16/05/2007 11:09

Catkin, you are bad !!!

notsolilKel · 16/05/2007 11:10

hmmm

had this sharp stitch pain in my belly round right/middle and not gone away since 9am so phoned the labour ward and i'm on watch. Took 2 paracetemol, waiting to see if it gets worse or better, might need to go in and have it checked out, not sure yet. Packing DS off to friend's house for a couple of hours just in case. Bit panicky to be honest but can't imagine that this is the beginning!

hollyandalice · 16/05/2007 11:11

Oh dear lilkel, hope this isn't it! Are you having contractions?

evenfattercatkin · 16/05/2007 11:12

I couldn't resist!! Champagne is a great idea though! DH has a shopping list for as soon as the baby is born. The birth centre is directly opposite a Waitrose and a 24h Tesco so he has to go and buy me lovely things to eat and drink for afterwards!!

evenfattercatkin · 16/05/2007 11:13

Lilkel, Hope you're OK. Can you do anything to take your mind off it or is the pain too bad?

evenfattercatkin · 16/05/2007 11:14

By that, I didn't mean scrub the kitchen floor or anything!!

hollyandalice · 16/05/2007 11:16

Maybe you should have a nice hot bath lilkel, it may take the pain away.

hollyandalice · 16/05/2007 11:18

Put a fresh exotic fruit salad on your list catkin! After I had dd I was lying on the stitching table eating mango and melon, it was exactly what I fancied, sweet and juicy, yum!!

BadZelda · 16/05/2007 11:19

Heh - still have champers that the spreadbetters gave me...it's calling my name...it's currently sitting on top of the fridge rather than chilling. Don't fancy drinking it warm ;)

Anyone else noticed their nails are growing particularly long and strong? As mine are normally short and stumpy it's one pregnancy side-effect that I'm happy about...shame I'll have to cut em all off when babba arrives to avoid scratching him/her...

evenfattercatkin · 16/05/2007 11:21

Holly, good idea about the fruit salad - I could just eat one now actually!

BZ - yes, actually, my nails are longer and harder as DH pointed out last night! I accidentally scratched him while trying to snatch the last sports mixture from the bag

annobal · 16/05/2007 11:24

ooh, am loving mango at the moment - may have to have it for lunch...

foxybrown · 16/05/2007 11:26

aw bollocks! Been sat on the other thread wondering where everyone is! Dur!

Off to catch up and do school run xx

notsolilKel · 16/05/2007 11:26

running bath now. pain still there. ds off to friend's house. hmmmm

annobal · 16/05/2007 11:27

Holly, are your legs aching? I had this when I came out of hospital and mw told me it was a lack of calcium.

lilkel, hope things are okay.

hollyandalice · 16/05/2007 11:28

Hope the bath sorts you out lilkel!

for your dd foxy, hope she is ok.

foxybrown · 16/05/2007 11:29

HOLLY! TAKE THAT BACK

oh,lilkel. You are just about full term aren't you? Take it easy, we are here if you need us.
