@Cakelaur if I remember rightly heart rate was high and I got a girl.
@Gemsie1984 I’m not entirely sure lots in my baby group swore by them for keeping their baby snug, secure and helping them to sleep. Some bought Preloved and just gave a good wash. They seem to retain value so you can sell on. There are cheaper alternatives like poddlepods, but I’m not sure any of them are recommended for nighttime sleeping. I didn’t bother with one due to the price and got on fine. I suppose swaddling will give the same affect

Gemsie1984 · 18/06/2018 15:51

Hmm.. I swaddled mine and was absolutely fine. I also made a nest out of a blanket for added security. I might be tempted but sat on the fence about it..
ALSO has anyone heard about the apnoea alarms that clip onto babies nappies? My friend who has a 6 month old lo said it was invaluable and a good buy. I am really tempted, they're £72.99 from Amazon. I remember when my first two were tiny I would sit and stare at them for hours while they slept convinced they'd stop breathing! Completely neurotic but couldn't help myself.

Primrose16 · 18/06/2018 16:06

A friend made one out of a rolled up towel tucked into a pillowcase. I have a angel care monitor/breathing mat that I still use but will given to new baby as my girl will be 2 by then.

Hey @cakelaur - I am getting the same. Spots that won’t go, almost like below the surface. I lived in Oz for a bit and really like Sukin their natural label - you can get the exfoliant here x

MissMedusa · 18/06/2018 17:55

@JustVent I started feeling little flicks a few weeks ago. Maybe 3-4 times a day but some days nothing. I assume on those days the baby is just facing another way. I only tend to feel it in one or two areas so think if baby is in another position or kicking in another direction I don't feel it yet.

JustVent · 18/06/2018 19:02

Thanks MissMedusa I figured it was the baby facing a different way as well.

@justvent I have felt slight movement a couple of times but that is spread over a few weeks and even then I'm like was that something or not! Try not to worry as hard as it is. I think you only feel something at this size when they are in a certain place and in a certain position as it is very sporadic and irregular.

@cakelaur I am suffering with chin spots and have done since the first few weeks. I don't normally get many spots, just maybe the odd one around my period but these ones are taking ages to go as well!

Wanttomakemincepies · 21/06/2018 11:22

Regarding the nests and pods, professionally speaking please leave well alone and stick to safe sleeping guidelines.
