I’m the same Gemsie although still a bit sore after surgery so that could be waking me up.

Nausea has been back last 2 days although I think it’s driven by constipation now. Had the opposite problem in every other pregnancy so this is driving me mad!

AGirlinLondon · 17/06/2018 13:46

Hey @paranormal I am a little nauseous again at certain times - I’m wondering if it’s my body getting used to the baby who seems to be quite active at times. I have felt him once or twice, just a tiny flutter, but mostly I bet it feels to my body like my stomach is churning!

December2018 · 17/06/2018 13:57

My sickness has also made an appearance....🤢🤢

0lgaDaPolga · 17/06/2018 14:46

I’m still feeling sick too. I was ok by this point with my first so I’m really hoping it eases soon.

Had a gender scan today and we’re having another little boy!

December2018 · 17/06/2018 15:21

Ohhh olga I'd love 2 boys!
Congratulations hun I'm made up for you

0lgaDaPolga · 17/06/2018 18:10

Thanks @December2018 my son is only 12 months so it will be really lovely to have 2 boys growing up so close in age, I’d have been just as happy with a girl but now I know it’s another boy I’m really excited about it!

MagicalCreatures · 17/06/2018 18:41

@0lgaDaPolga congratulations Olga. I’ve got 2 cousins who are males (brothers) and they are best friends. Even now in their 30’s. It’s an incredible relationship to have.
@Gemsie1984 I feel your pain with the broken sleep. Ive suffered with insomnia most of my life and now with the hay fever keeping me up with a blocked nose and the constant peeing, it’s breaking me. I haven’t slept properly in weeks. I’m a constant tired wreck. How I’m not suffering with emotional and hormonal outbursts is a bloody miracle x

Is anyone else starting to wonder how much bigger their boobs are going to get?! I’m not really that attached to mine...well I didn’t think I was. But they’re so much bigger now!

Gemsie1984 · 18/06/2018 09:38

Yes! I was thinking that myself last night. I was getting ready for bed and my OH was like 😮 your boobs have got so much bigger! I know they've been so sore still. I don't notice it so much as I'm big chested anyway (normally 42FF 🙄). I asked how and my OH said they're bigger at the sides? I'm just thinking great, I have to lug these things about normally; so I'll resemble an an actual milking 🐄 when my milk comes through.. definitely need to get a decent maternity bra now! I'm hoping to breastfeed but the logistics of how big they're likely to get.. and how I'm going to attach a little newborn to these monsters is terrifying me slightly..

MrsTeaPlease · 18/06/2018 11:02

@gemsie1984 that did make me lol! Mine are also getting bigger and bigger as are my nipples (dear lord Is it possible for them to get any bigger?!)

Gemsie1984 · 18/06/2018 11:04

Oh don't get me started on the nipples lol like side plates! The joys of pregnancy 🙄😂

Roomarmoset · 18/06/2018 11:46

Ladies I need help! Or reassurance really.
I have my 12 week scan on Thursday and I'm so worried. I had an ectopic in January and ever since I found out about this pregnancy I've been an anxious mess. We saw the heartbeat at 6.5 weeks so I know the chances are better but I'm so nervous Sad.

Any reassuring words would be helpful Smile

Gemsie1984 · 18/06/2018 12:01

It's not surprising you're anxious, given your previous experience but the fact you've seen a HB is a very positive sign. Try to relax as much as possible, easier said than done sometimes I know! Might be of interest but I bought a Doppler from amazon. Think about £25. Each morning when I wake up I have a listen to baby's heartbeat (not always easy to find, but get it eventually) really puts my mind at ease and helps with the anxiety x

MagicalCreatures · 18/06/2018 12:18

@Roomarmoset know the feeling hun. I found that each early scan reassured me for all of 5 minutes and then I’d go back to be anxious again. First one was ‘is there a heartbeat’. Then it was ‘is there still a heartbeat’. Then it’s ‘has it grown properly, have I had a missed miscarriage’. And then just before my 12 weeks Scan (after seeing everything was fine a few days before) ‘Is the nuchal screening going to be ok’.
It’s horrific and never ends.
The only reassurance I can offer you is ‘your not alone’.

For those of you who have felt movement-

When you very first started feeling slight taps, was it daily?

I’ve definitely felt the odd tap, but now I don’t think I’ve felt anything. This is almost exactly the time the baby’s heart stopped beating last time so to say I’m worrying and paranoid is an understatement.
I’m sure it’s fine but everyone says “I’m sure it’s fine!” Last time and it very much wasn’t.

So if anyone could let me know how often they felt the tiny taps when they first noticed them that would be really appreciated.
I so desperately want to just get to the 20 week, bump and regular movement stage. This is just going to be a continuous cycle of mini heart attacks until then.

Primrose16 · 18/06/2018 13:27

@JustVent I didn’t feel my daughter until 19 weeks. And it was very on and off until about 21weeks when it became regular. I’m hoping this time round I might feel sooner as they say that with second pregnancies. It’s such a reassurance feeling movements

Primrose16 · 18/06/2018 13:28

@Roomarmoset oh I know. I have my scan tomorrow. I had a early scan at 6 weeks and all was okay. But it was so long ago I am a wreak and I know I will be shaking tomorrow.

December2018 · 18/06/2018 13:30

Hi justvent I'm 14 weeks on Wednesday and I haven't felt anything yet, I'm still getting a VERY strong heartbeat on my Doppler I use it once a day just for a little check and my own sanity
How far are you now hun?
Sending you a big love, I know how worrying it all is,it's horrible sometimes isn't it!

Cakelaur · 18/06/2018 13:54

@Gemsie1984 does baby's heart beat vary?? At 10 weeks it was around 179, 12 weeks was around 163 and now at 14 weeks it's around 155. But I only do it sporadically and at different times of day

AGirlinLondon · 18/06/2018 14:29

@cakelaur we heard ours on Friday at it was 155 (down from 175 at 7weeks)

Gemsie1984 · 18/06/2018 14:36

Yep from 167-145bpm.. normally around the 155bpm mark

December2018 · 18/06/2018 14:39

Yeah mine is about 145bpm too

Roomarmoset · 18/06/2018 14:46

Thank you for your lovely comments Smile
Good luck tomorrow @primrose16 Flowers

Cakelaur · 18/06/2018 15:11

Thanks ladies. Hoping it stays nice and high in the hope it's a little girl!! 🙈🎀 haha!! But hey as long as baby is healthy right?!

Any one else getting awful spots? I have very chilled skin usually and only wash with water as I'm prone to dry skin and have a great moisturising regime. But the last week or so I've Just broken out big time. Any advice? Natural options ideally.

Gemsie1984 · 18/06/2018 15:27

Random question.. can someone tell me why Sleepyhead nests seem to be really popular? They weren't around when my first two were born. They're so expensive.. are they worth it?
