1b3 and oogs - so impressed at your mammoth efforts to bring your two little bundles into the world. I really hope it's all over for you soon. I know they're not easy on the outside, but at least you can start the process of feeling physically normal again. Cyber hugs coming your way.

Well, I'm 38 weeks today. Hurrah. Cannot believe that number four should be here within 14 days!!!! Am torn between wanting to get on with it (impatience at uncomfortableness of pg) and, of course, wanting to wait until DH is back (hopefuly next week). I have cover (as in mum / MIL help) until 10th April, so will be gutted if I go over dates for first time and she arrives on the 11th!!

Pesha, LOL at woman on the edge.
Octo - good luck on productive day.
Ellie/Katy - thanks for new thread/title. This could be the one that sees the first baby...

Take care all, will check in later.

EllieK · 21/03/2007 08:07

yeah right CB, threads only last a few days now and our babies don't seem in any hurry to join us!

and don't say things like that, you'll only get octo excited

claricebean · 21/03/2007 08:08

Surely two sets of twins by the thread end

EllieK · 21/03/2007 08:14

i think that's what oogggs and 1b3 will be hoping

best go to work and finish off all my jobs.

Just popping in to say hi, off to work for my last day this week then only 3 more days next week to go!! Yaaaaaaaaay.
Have a lovely day everyone x

1b3 - sending you lots of thoughts and hugs and you too, of course, ooogs.

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 21/03/2007 08:28

Morning lovelies. Bring it on for the twin-carriers!!!

Slept soooo well again. Dh took Nytol last night, so he wasn't thrashing around, B was dry again, and I didn't need a wee in the night again - can't ask for much else really.

Thanks for the new thread Ellie.

Octo, your day sounds busy!!

CB, so glad the cavalry are with you, and fingers crossed for your dh.

Duchesse, lovely to see you. Hugs to you.

Not much going on here. Was due to see mw today, but will probably be tomorrow now. Gym Tots and swimming for us today, and then going for a dreaded haircut - well B is. I hate taking her as she is a nightmare, but needs must, and I daren't do it!

Anyway, hope everyone is feeling as well as can be expected, and will catch up later on.

xx

liath · 21/03/2007 08:29

Morning.

Lovely & sunny here but still freezing! Am going to take dd swimming to try & tire her out. She's dropped her daytime nap but is really struggling, getting overtired in the afternoons but will NOT go down for a nap in the house. Don't know what to do, she'll sleep in the car or buggy and naps at nursery. Might have to put her down in her bedroom and leave her but she gets really upset & I can't bear it.

My doula is coming this afternoon for a chat so will be able to pick her brains about getting breast-feeding off to a good start.

Big hugs to all of us who are tired & uncomfortable & having serious sense of humour failures and especially ooggs & 1b3. I'm torn between really wanting the baby OUT NOW but apprehensive about coping with two, feeding and worried about getting PND again. I do want to meet my baby, though and hold him - such mixed emotions!!!

muminabigtumi · 21/03/2007 08:38

Hi ladies I'm back!!

How many threads??? I have no chance of catching up on all that - but do I gather things are happening for our twin PG ladies 1b3 and oogs? Could someone quickly fill me in?

I really missed you al - had a brilliant weekend away but when I got back I could not get onto Mumsnet....turns out stupid Phil had uploaded some new security software over the weekend and he had managed to block my access to the site -....

Not to worry!
Well I am slowly getting used to this maternity leave lark...stil not resting like I should be - just have a complete inability to relax when there is cleaning etc to be done. James is punsihing me for being away at the weekend by being a little toad but apart from that all is good...

Will look forward to trying to catch up a bit when James is at nursery this afternoon

Love to all

Is this an exclusive club or can anyone due in April join?

weeonion · 21/03/2007 08:49

good morning folks! bright and sunny day up here in scotland!

feeling great this morning - hormones must be kicking in. had lovely time with dp before he left for work and suddenly realised that i felt sexy. he thought so too

i made a real decisio last night that i am goign to go with all my positive excitied feelings. i have hadsuch an unhappy pg that i dont want the end of it to be like this. i am sooooooo excited about this baby and i guess have the luxury of it being my first so i dont have to worry about other wee ones to care for. when i think of labour - i do get excited. this is what my body is built for after all so i will get through it.

met a lovely coupel last night - had a great birth and full of really pleasant vibes about it all. i thought to myself that they were the way i woudl rather be than walkign round with a dark cloud of AND over both dp and my heads. i may be fooling myself but hey - whats the harm in that if it makes these 4 weeks pleasant.

have a great day folks.

1b3 & oogs - hope there is movement for you both today. xoxoxoxoxo

weeonion · 21/03/2007 09:16

ooops. seem to have scared everyone off!

flumppootle · 21/03/2007 09:35

Morning!
What a grogeous day

Phdlife, welcome! When in April are you due??? We have had no babies born on this thread yet and all are impatiently waiting.

Weeonion, very impressed and of all your sewing. I love to sew aswell but have had no chance to do any this time around. I was curious about what a 'taggie blanket' was so went of to investigate....then spent monday night dreaming about them .
Somehow one accdidently fell in my shopping basket for Blooming Marvelous when ordering my Lilypadz!!!!!!!OOps.. LOL!
Thanks for the tip

Welcome back Miabt, we have missed you too

Glad to hear that you finally got a good nights sleep SOSPL, long may it continue

1B3 and ooggss, sending you both huge labour vibes...those twins need to come out and meet their mummies

Liath, good luck with wearing your dd out, my ds is trying to drop his daytime nap aswell and I am fighting it every inch of the way! Hope the iron is making you feel better

Bugmum, LOVED your book! Will have to go and get your other one now

Pesha · 21/03/2007 09:51

Phdlife - anyone due in april is more than welcome to join Well, as long as you dont have your baby before any of us, that could cause some resentment Then again we could do with someone starting us off so go ahead When are you due?

WO - sounds like an excellent decision I also am getting excited thinking about labour and ive done it twice before so know what im getting myself in for but still looking forward to it. Its an amazing experience and its the process by which i get my baby, it is exciting, I cant wait! Only thing im nervous about is not having anything ready and actually still not feeling ready for a baby Having a positive approach and feeling relaxed will help make it a better experience for you in itself. Dont think you're fooling yourself at all.

Morning everyone else, cant remember a thing anyone said!

Had crap night, dd kept being sick or just calling me into her room to tell me she had a headache or couldnt sleep even though she'd literally only woken up a minute before! And ds was awake for about an hour and half cos he really couldnt sleep so he kept calling to me then came and wanted to get into my bed cos his bed was too noisy and had too many songs in it or something! Threw huge tantrum when I said he couldnt sleep with me so then i lost my temper and told him off then felt guilty so had to go make up. By time I got both of them to sleep I was wide awake and I couldnt sleep!! And thats on top of my weird, vague, slightly down mood from yesterday still continuing. So apologies in advance if I say anything stupid, tactless, weird or in any way offensive, just ignore me!! (like the rest of MN!! )

flumppootle · 21/03/2007 10:05

Morning Pesha

What an awful night you have had . Will you have a chance to get some rest later? I hope so.

I love your and Weeonions approach to the last few weeks/birth. It is a really postive time to be enjoyed and cherished, think that we just reminding of that sometimes

I think that Liath said it aswell, mixed feelings of wanting it out NOW and then NNNOOOOOooo not ready yet! It seems to have come round really quickly for me. I have been so busy worrying about the impending move that this poor baby hasn't had a look in

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 21/03/2007 10:11

Hello!

Welcome phdlife - the more the merrier I say! When are you due? Have you got any other children? Where do you live?
Sorry, I am a nosy moo!

WO, you sound so wonderfully positive again - fabulous!

Liath, I am with you in that I cannot wait to get the pg over with as so uncomfortable, itchy etc etc. but also stressing about how to cope with 2. Becky is nearly 4, but still a handful!

MIABT, welcome back. Hope you had a fab time, and that you were all well behaved!!??
Men eh and their fiddling with computers!

Pesha, sounds like you and the dc are having a rough ride. Hope today is better for you and you can get some rest at some point.

Hiya flump, lol at the taggie blanket accidently falling into your basket! Such a bummer when that happens!

CaptainDippy · 21/03/2007 10:36

Goooood morning laaaaadies!

Still feeling a bit "weird" - babies movements have change and am getting some lower abdominal pain etc - DH is terified - neither of us want a preemie again - Stay in Bean!!!!! At the same time, it is quite exciting that "something" is definitely "on the move", iykwim!!? I am hoping all this uncomfortable-ness, movement and niggly pain means that bubba has decided to turn .... desperate to know. Might pop to the unit tomorrow, just to get checked out etc.

Mmmmmmmmm ......

Feeling a bit more positive and a teeny bit less "shit, I've got too much to doooo" - guess it is the whole movement / pain / I really am having this bloody baby soon thing that has kick started some "happy excited hormones", iykwim!!?

How is everyone else doing?

Welcome phdlife - come back and tell us some more about yourself!!

Bramshott · 21/03/2007 10:47

OMG - I have just made up the moses basket with sheets and everything! This must be nesting gone mad!!

CD - hope you're right in your suspicions and he/she has done a turn. I am definitely feeling a change in movements now - all much lower down etc, and I'm now convinced this baby is staying in for at least 40 weeks, so it's probably just the way things go in the last few weeks IYSWIM?!

PHDlife - welcome! Come back, we're not all mad really!

MIABT - glad you had a good weekend. No movement yet from Ooggs or 1b3, but they are both hoping that it all happens very, very soon so we're sending them labour vibes!! If anyone deserves to be first then they do!!

Brain full now - back later!

CaptainDippy · 21/03/2007 10:50

I hope I am right too!!

I am getting soooooo much discharge atm - Absolutely gross. Don't remember this with the other two. I am not the only one, right!!?

Yuk.
