Hello! My bump is all big up top too. I have a rather attractive dangly skin bit at the bottom, mmmm how delightful! I have had what I assume to be either a foot or a knee which sticks out of my right side on a regular basis.

1b3, thinking of you and hoping things turn out ok today at the hospital. Let us know whats happening (((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))

Maveta, enjoy your day and the scan. How exciting, would love to see mine so late on although actually want it damn well out!

Hi Oooggs my buddy! Hope you get home today and your chest improves a bit. I keep hoping that I will have reason to text you but still nothing yet.

Bumble, sorry to hear about your dh being made redundant although at least if he gets a good redundancy package it will give you time to get sorted out. You seem ok with it although I am sure its not the best timing in the world. Then again, these things never are!

I feel so much better today for simply getting some sleep. Apologies for being such a miserable hag yesterday. Still getting plenty of pains but nothing else so who knows.

Katy44 · 23/03/2007 13:42

runny, how long do they expect it to take?
Let us know when the op is over, wishing her a speedy recovery!

mammyjo · 23/03/2007 13:44

Good Luck runny's sister!

Katy44 · 23/03/2007 13:45

mammyjo, glad you're feeling better today.
Right, shutting down MN till half three and going to get my assignment FINISHED!
(Am just finishing off now, word counts, grammar etc so it's not as bad as it sounds)
Physically throw me off if I'm back before then, please!

runnyhabbit · 23/03/2007 13:52

Op takes about 3 hours. Think its even more emotional for me and my mum, because I was in the same hospital, and the exact same ward 11 years ago having surgery. Have kept myself very busy this morning, so really must go and lie down while ds is sleeping.

babysopiniontakesover · 23/03/2007 14:02

1b3 - I feel like and I've only got one I cannot even start to imagine how you must be feeling. Still really not long to go - can you not insist that they induce you/get fixed date for c section???

Those of you still working I can hardly believe it - hats off to you girlies!!!

Raspberry leaf tablets - easiest place to buy them is ebay or holland and barrett. Ebay if you can't be bothered traipsing all the way into town - which I know I won't be doing now until LO is out. Would post a link but not sure if "allowed". I paid abour £4 inc p&p.

Bring on the raspberry leaf tablets..let's just hope that they work the miracles that they are supposed to.

babysopiniontakesover · 23/03/2007 14:03

Visions of all the ebay sellers selling out of raspberry leaf lol.

Katy44 · 23/03/2007 14:09

which strength did you get?
(not really here)

babysopiniontakesover · 23/03/2007 14:11

500 mg wasn't brave enough for the super strength 900 mg but would be interesting to see what they did??

Katy44 · 23/03/2007 14:13

Oh can't decide what to do! All the other threads say take a lot in the last few days
Suppose if I get the lower strength I at least have the option. Can always supplement it with the tea - yuck

opinions (or anyone else), would you like a few tea bags as well?? Am happy to post you a few to share the misery!

GirtWaspbElly · 23/03/2007 14:14

Hi all,

Wow - Hello all new people - I guess the influx is due to us all having some more "free" time? Remember this luxury this time next month eh?
Why did I think that painting would be a good thing to do on ML? Thank goodness the paint tray I just upended all over DH's precious, recently laid laminate floor in the bathroom was a particularly fine clay/lime based emulsion and so has washed off without a trace and, as it's beautifully matt you can't tell where any 'extras' have landed on the walls! Sigh. Decided I really DID need food after that so have been a good girl & eaten the roast chicken/extra spaghetti leftovers as a homemade chicken & 'noodle' soup. Really want to bake this afternoon - am running out of time for the Swiss Plum Tart I want to do as the cinnamon bread base needs time to rise. Baking being the default exercise for time wasting when I should be doing other things!
Have been having stabbing pains at top of both thighs/hips recently - to the point of making me stop whatever I'm doing - anyone else? Didn't have 'em last time!
1B3 - talk about your worries of pre-eclampsia (protein, all over itch and High BP) and see if that threat carries a bit more weight with getting you an earlier section date? You could always over-egg the pudding (sorry, in baking mode) and say your feet and face feel swollen to add to the symptom list!
Love and * vibes to 1B3 and Mammyjo and * vibes to the rest of us. I'd like to keep my birthday to myself so if my bubs can wait til after Tuesday I'd appreciate it, although no signs on that front yet it doesn't mean anything the speed of DS's arrival!

babysopiniontakesover · 23/03/2007 14:25

Katy I would say get 5oomg tablets and just take them as you say in last 7 days or so, I know of sm who took about 10 on the journey to hospital but I think that might be leaving it a bit too late. Thanks for the offer butI think I'll pass on the tea as everyone says its rank and only about a tenth the strength.

Anyway I thought you were supposed to be studying!!!

Katy44 · 23/03/2007 14:27

I've just made myself a cup of the tea (from what I've read it's really weak) it's a pretty pink colour, and smells like raspberry jelly, how bad can it taste...?
Thanks for the telling off, going now!

babysopiniontakesover · 23/03/2007 14:28

Oh you didn't say it was your first cup! And yeh get your studying done girl.

What are your plans for after the baby, are you going to continue studying??

CaptainDippy · 23/03/2007 14:29

I have decided that DH can bloomin' well get everything ready for us to take the DD's swimming .... which is exactly why we are still in the house 45 mins on ...... Sigh. Why does it only take me 10mins. he give them too much choice for a start. Feeling v.tired and sick; not sure I am entirely up for swimming, but we've promise them now so I'll have to drag my fat carcass to the pool......

Bleurgh!

CaptainDippy · 23/03/2007 14:29

GET BACK TO WORK KATY!!!!!!!

babysopiniontakesover · 23/03/2007 14:31

Yeh sorry katy - back to work hee hee.

Katy44 · 23/03/2007 14:32

No, once I hand in this assignment (next Thursday) I'm done! Perfect timing if you ask me!
Sure I'll end up doing something eventually once I'm back at work, but am looking forward to being able to just concentrate on preparing for bump without that nagging feeling that I should be working in April!
What about you - what do you do, and when are you going back (or have you not even thought that far ahead yet??)
This tes isn't anywhere near as bad as I expected it to be - pretty tasteless really!
Right, am GOING! Will be back in an hour to catch up.

Katy44 · 23/03/2007 14:33

CD - I'm avoiding you as I STILL can't find my cheque book! How pathetic!
[Katy runs off]

CaptainDippy · 23/03/2007 14:33

Think DH is about to put DD1's swimming costume on DD2 .... should I say anything??

CaptainDippy · 23/03/2007 14:33

You'd better run ........

CaptainDippy · 23/03/2007 14:38

Man, this is better than a comedy show ....

babysopiniontakesover · 23/03/2007 14:42

Katy - (for when you get back). Glad you're getting finished for thurs cos I can't see how anyone could get studying done with a newborn around ( I know that I couldn't have, you've timed it pretty well).

As for me I work pt for the RBS, worked there ft for 5 yrs before DS1 was born and after 4 yrs "studying" at liverpool john moores uni and travelling the world as you do.

All change now though with one LO and another one due in the next 2 1/2 weeks.....yikes where has all the time gone I ask myself.

Anyway missions for the future are serious weight loss, serious time spent at the gym and more serious weight loss and back to work pt next January. When you start the guilt trips all over again but thats a different story.....

babysopiniontakesover · 23/03/2007 14:44

.......and CD I don't even bother getting dp to "help" when going out cos its pretty much a waste of time, unless its sth like "put their shoes or get a drink etc etc". I don't think blokes have that organised maternal instinct do they??

CaptainDippy · 23/03/2007 14:47

Nope - DD1 is in hysterics ... absolute shambles ....

Best go and pick up the pieces ....
