@teainbed yes!! I upcycled a garden swing last year and I can't wait to sit on it with a little Bub :)

MrsJW15 · 25/03/2017 20:01

Shopping was good - some primark bits and a sleepyhead. But I'm soo tired! And DH kindly invited friends for dinner (!) so guess who is cooking?!

ShiniBerry · 25/03/2017 20:07

Had a mini meltdown this morning after the worst night's sleep ever. Had the most awful rib pain and hip pain all night and DHs snoring didn't help and therefore was up pretty much all night. And then when I struggled to move myself out of bed and couldn't, I just got fed up and burst into tears to the dismay of poor DH who was still asleep and had no idea what was wrong. Had to pull myself together as the in-laws were driving down to see us and spend the day, and after a nice meal out with them I'm feeling calmer but completely shattered. I agree Rise this pregnancy malarkey IS hard work!

MrsJW how awful about your delivery getting stolen. Hope H&M resend everything.

MissMoo and Cox enjoy your babymoons!

I saw those photos too Raspberry thought they were moving and beautiful but I certainly would never dream of allowing photos like that taken during labour/birth.

Sounds like a rough week Dream get some rest!

I feel a massive difference from week 30 to week 34, bump is crazy big now and the angry looking stretch marks are just adding up. I've uploaded a photo on the bump thread comparing week 31 to 34.

I second watching The Crown on Netflix! We are also big GoT fans, can't wait for the next season! Orphan Black is on my to watch list.

Starting NCT classes next Saturday when I'll be 35 weeks and the NHS class is just before i turn 38 weeks!

Brightsmoke · 25/03/2017 21:08

I spent a lot of the afternoon in the garden too Tea, it was such a beautiful day today! Definitely can't wait for summer. Going to buy a swing seat ready, but can't decide whether to go for wooden, which looks nice, but needs regular care, iron which look nice but can be cold, or the normal one (plastic coated metal?) which are cheap looking but require no maintenance.

I had a break down too today Shini. I was happily making a raised flower bed, when DH told me the wood I was using wasn't strong enough, helpfully suggested what I should use, and I just burst into tears. I'm so fed up of being fat and useless :( I'm normally such a hands on person and not being able to is a real struggle for me.

Saw my 'D'M today for the first time. We've been building bridges slowly since she left my dad in the most despicable way, but realised her mistake, and now lives back at her house in one of the spare rooms. She asked if I wanted to meet for coffee when I finish work in a week to try and sort things out, knowing I'm not ready yet, and after I said no, decided that she's made enough effort and that's it, she's completely cutting ties from now on. She hasn't thought to apologise for the stress she put me through at the beginning of my pregnancy.

Urgh, sorry to rant, didn't plan on it being that long 😳

coxsorangepippin · 25/03/2017 21:18

Take care, brightsmoke, it must be tough going through that with your mother at what's already a bit of a vulnerable time with pregnancy

newbieho · 25/03/2017 22:38

Another one spending the time in the garden today. I've cleaned the greenhouse and its guttering. Pots scrubbing left for tomorrow as I've learnt my lesson by over stretching myself last weekend.

Have a lovely Sunday folks!

Badgerbird · 25/03/2017 22:44

Last catering event for us today until Oct! Went really well and lovely to get so many well wishes from fellow traders we see regularly Smile My iron and energy levels seem to be back up thank god!

savage apparently clockwise hip swirls help move baby's into position. On all fours preferable I think. We do a lot of it in yoga and pregnancy Pilates lead by active birth instructor.

Oooh I'm gonna check out that podcast jenny! We started our NHS ante natal classes last week at 30 weeks and I loved it! Next/ last one this mon.

wish breakfast of champions!!

missmoo hope you're having a fab time Smile Enjoy eachother.

cox doula and Holibobs!! Exciting times!!

teainbed know what you mean, I'm sooooo looking forward to hanging out with my baby this summer :)

bright I've reeeeeeaaaally struggled with that myself! So used to being very active and hands on. Think I'm finally getting my head round it now. Sounds to me like you did a sterling job! Sorry to hear about your mum, bloody family!!

Rustler74 · 25/03/2017 22:48

Sorry to hear @Brightsmoke she sounds like she would not contribute to your peace of mind anyway, so to push her way back in at this time in such an inconsiderate manner is not right. I hope you have a good support network anyway. It makes me feel very privileged for the bond I have with my parents xxx big hugs

@ShiniBerry sounds like a proper hormonal breakdown! I hate those and particularly because my OH knows it's very unlike me. I hope there won't be too many anymore, if any!

Been to 1st day Nct class today which I really enjoyed as it was luckily led by a midwife. The only thing was that she sometimes spoke very quietly which made it hard to understand for me. The group of 7 other couples looked very nice, all professional couples. We had lunch together and a good chin wag. I'm now really pleased we forked the money for it. My little sprout has been moving about all day and more so at the dinner we were treated to this evening by some of our friends. I just hope it's still head down, and also that the movement will stop for the night as I have enough reflux as it is. I may try get to the gp on Monday as it's getting worse now.

Also yesterday when driving home after the meet up I got a little stone on my car windscreen which has cracked overnight and it seems to be getting worse so I arranged repair, which will happen on Wednesday. £75 I could do some other stuff with Angry!

Now off to sleep as another day of nct tomorrow after overnight change to BST!

nursebickypegs · 26/03/2017 05:04

Next doors twins are screaming and crying, so naturally I woke up as their bedroom is next to theirs... and then my cat was sick. Got to love Sunday's.

I've just drank gaviscon out of the bottle with a straw to get right to the bottom. If I could tell me 21 year old me that this is what I'll be doing in 10years time, I'd tell me to shut up.

Happy Mother's Day everyone!

RasperryInAMelon · 26/03/2017 06:01

@Rustler74 we had s chip fairly recently. DH assured me he was going to call to have it filled (£25) he didn't... new windscreen instead... £75

What's more annoying is that last weekend I noticed two chips on the new one 😩

EsmesBees · 26/03/2017 07:57

Happy mother's day all. Tea we've timed these babies very well to be getting all summer off. I got an amazing tan last time from all the walking around I did with the pram.

Just think nurse next year it will be your baby screaming and waking you up at 5!

Really sorry about your mumbright. You need to be a bit selfish at the moment and put yourself and the baby first, so don't let her make you feel bad about choices she's made.

I hate the hour change these days. It does not suit my toddler. She'll be climbing the walls by bedtime.

Loving our night away. Still awake at 6.30 of course, and up twice in the night for the loo. But no small person is demanding milk or stories so considering it a lie in!

Rustler74 · 26/03/2017 07:58

Happy mother (to be) day everyone!

CinnamonTwist · 26/03/2017 09:44

Thanks for the new thread, man you guys are chatty, I can barely keep up!

Where I've been cramming my horrid swollen feet into my now tight shoes I've given myself athletes foot Angry which I've never had before! Luckily DH has had it so we have some cream, however the PIL says to consult a doctor before using if you're pregnant and not to use if you're breastfeeding... the API is terbinafine, anyone know if I'm ok to use it? My doctors surgery is always really busy and difficult to get hold of (doctors are fabulous, it's just got too many patients!) and obviously I've no chance on a Sunday (which is not a problem - it's hardly an emergency!)

coxsorangepippin · 26/03/2017 10:33

I don't know about that one cinnamon but there are others you def can use in pregnancy to save you the doctor's trip - pharmacist gave me daktarin for example

Barnes79 · 26/03/2017 11:23

Cinnamon You should just be able to ask a pharmacist what is safe to use, rather than making a GP appointment.

MrsJW15 · 26/03/2017 11:42

Eek Shini that's a lot of growth. My Bump doesn't seem to have changed much between 30 and 33, but wonder if it's about to grow again!

Esmes fingers crossed for a tan from lots of time in the park!

Badgerbird · 26/03/2017 11:47

Happy Mothers Day Mamas BrewCake
Our turn next year First Timers Smile
What a gorgeous day for it!! X

Teaspoon74 · 26/03/2017 13:07

Wish - good luck with the spots!!

Nurse - great news on the chair, but poor you with all that cleaning!!! We got one form mothercare - nearly bought ex display but was so filthy I couldn't bear the thought of scrubbing it all out Confused

Rise - ta for the suggestions! Used to work in US politics and love the West Wing SO much. Bartlett's response to the fundamental Christian radio woman is one of my TV highlights of all time!! https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=S1-ip47WYWc

Thanks for the tip Jenny - I'll defo give those podcasts a try!!

Rustler how was your NCT class? Meet some nice people? My lot were lovely (also had 1st class yesterday). Came out feeling positive and cheery ;)

Autumn Scandal is ac. Gets a bit tangled around s3 for a bit but love the pace!! And love love love the Daily Show, though still missing Jon Stewart.

Thanks for the photo link Rasperry. Think I'm with you Cox. The idea of students in the room, let alone photographers, freaks me out a bit!!

MrsJW hope that you sort that package out. I bloody hate it when they (delivery drivers) do that (lie!).

MissMoo hope you're enjoying Malta!! & Cox enjoy your trip. Would have loved a babymoon but being vommy all the time seemed to render a couples trip away a bit of a waste of time/money!!

Shini - the crying/ hormones thing is a beast, isn't it?!? We drove down to Kent to visit friends yesterday after our NCT class and I started crying at the lyrics of Starship "Nothing's gonna stop us"!! www.google.co.uk/search?q=nothing's+gonna+stop+us+now+lyrics&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&hl=en-gb&client=safari Ridiculous Blush

Bright take care, hon. Now more than any other time is the moment to think about what you need. And if DM can't see that then maybe she is the one who isn't ready to reconcile just yet. Focus on looking after your new family!!!

Loving all the dad/man bags being packed. It's given OH ideas too - he wants one now!!

Planning to sit in the garden today whilst OH does DIY & painting. Pretty horrid night of heartburn and sleeplessness so could do with a sunny day doze!!

nursebickypegs · 26/03/2017 14:44

@EsmesBees I said that to DH while he was complaining!!!

Ladies.......... DH bought me maternity leggings for Mother's Day. I might divorce him AND MARRY HIM AGAIN AS THEY ARE SO COMFORTABLE. I'm so happy I could CRY!!!

Teaspoon74 · 26/03/2017 15:00

Nurse GrinGrinGrin

RasperryInAMelon · 26/03/2017 15:08

I don't think I could have someone else in the room taking photos. But DH is a dab hand at photography and video editing, so he's taking the camera and GoPro for if I ever want to relive it 🙈

mrspage1985 · 26/03/2017 15:38

Mini eggs here for Mother's Day and a beautiful card!!
Making the most of the gorgeous weather ....

newbieho · 26/03/2017 15:52

@nursebickypegs 😂😂😂

@mrspage1985 aww, super cute photo, can't stop smiling

EsmesBees · 26/03/2017 16:27

Lovely pic ,Mrs page. Feels likes spring at last.

I've just been up in the loft digging through vacuum bags to find the newborn bits. I had forgotten how tiny they are.

MrsJW15 · 26/03/2017 16:44

teaspoon I love that speech too! Tempted to rewatch the whole west wing when baby comes. Good breastfeeding entertainment!

Nurse which leggings made you so happy?!
