Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 45th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The 44th grads thread is HERE

The thread we have graduated from is HERE in its 58th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread HERE
for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

HERE is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates.

Midwife rang. GTT result from flippin Tuesday is 7.9 which is just outside normal range. On the plus side she isn't ringing the Diabetes Midwife until Monday so I have one weekend left of freedom... SadEnvyAngry At least now I have a valid excuse for being chunky!

CarrotPuff · 05/02/2016 17:35

Aww sky, that's rubbish. Eat all the cake while you can. Does it mean you have GD or will they do more tests/monitor your sugar levels?

SecondCupOfTea · 05/02/2016 18:09

Aww fuck it Sky. Get some cake down yer neck this weekend.

And possibly a Mini Egg or two...

SecondCupOfTea · 05/02/2016 18:14

Oh, for anyone else suffering with heartburn..,get yourself to your GP/obstetrician/any other prescribing HCP, and get properly medicated.

I've been arsing about with Gaviscon for weeks and weeks, to varying levels of relief. Now I've been put on Ranitidine for the final few weeks of pregsville, and the difference is amazing. I can now eat without feeling like there is a blowtorch in my throat, I'm even burping less.

Hurrah!

CarrotPuff · 05/02/2016 18:28

Just looked through my notes and the MW has written baby 3/5 engaged! Shock I know it probably means nothing but I'm excited and panicking at the same time!

SecondCupOfTea · 05/02/2016 18:37

Are you weeing more and wheezing less?

FeatheredTail · 05/02/2016 18:40

Tri so sorry to hear your news. I hope you get some reassurance soon. Your poor Mum. Must have been scary - and by the sounds of it, she deserves some good health luck.

Sky poor you! I don't know how I missed your kidney infection, but I hope you're getting better. I don't know what your GTT result means - does it mean you might have GD?

lildottie · 05/02/2016 18:45

Thanks 5hell / carrot I knew it was a few weeks yet but wasnt sure when. I'll make a note to ask me about it at 25 wk appt.

keep I had what I believe was my first movement at 15 weeks. Higher on my bump actually than yours but would describe it as a muscle spasm feeling too. Now baby dances around right at the bottom of pelvis 99.9% of the time must be a boy

tri I hope speaking to your Dad has reassured you about your mum. Flowers

sky nooo! Hopefully as your borderline they will just monitor you. Can I go against the grain and say maybe don't eat all the cake? Though depends if the potential outcomes are something you'd be happy with, i.e. induction at edd.

pretz glad your cluster feeds gave down graded from absolute hell to just average hell! It must be so much to get used to in those early days. As much as I'm looking forward to having my baby and BF I have to admit the constant demand and lzck of sleep scares me!

In other news I think we've finally decided on a name for a girl and a boy! Didn't think we ever would but feel like a weight has lifted. Keeping mum on it though until baby arrives in case I change my mind

Oh and I picked up a £1bag of mini eggs in asda today but put it back when I realised there were about 10 in the packet! When did the vsg sizes decrease with the price increases??! I scoffed a snickers and a Mars instead Smile

honeysucklejasmine · 05/02/2016 18:51

Oh Sky! That sucks. Sad

Good work on the chocolate Lil! Tesco are selling 90g for a pound or 350g for £3. The 90g bags seems to be £1 everywhere.

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 05/02/2016 19:33

I'm not sure what it means... I assume seeing if I can control with diet first and if not then metformin. Going to spend some time researching diet this weekend. Planning to avoid induction by having ALL THE SEX from like 36 weeks onwards. Shouldn't be hard as am naturally very frisky as is DP. It is getting more challenging now that I'm not so bendy but it hasn't slowed us down much... might even invest in a marital aid to keep that oxytocin going GrinGrinGrinGrinGrin

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 05/02/2016 19:34

PS I thought those mini egg bags were small. So much air!

5hell · 05/02/2016 19:36

Consumed...I blame u lot entirely!!! Made the mistake of looking at calories Confused

I have accidentally eaten a chicken kebab and chips Grin and DH has brought home Oreo chocolate

ThursdayLastWeek · 05/02/2016 20:30

Hello Smile

Tri I'm sorry to hear about your mum - have you been able to speak to her?

I also got cross at the mini mini egg bags in tesco yesterday. So I bought a big one instead. And it's nearly gone. The miroid loves them more than all of us put together I think.

DS and I went to the south west branch of our antenatal group meet up today, it was fun Smile but now I'm totally totally done in. We stopped for maccy d's on the way home, it was great.

I hope everyone is ok?

5hell · 05/02/2016 20:49

maybe clutching at straws on your behalf sky but is there any chance your current illness has affected GTT result? my instinct says kidney trouble could affect clearance of glucose from blood, but i don't know enough about the test to know if thats what's measured etc ????

well done on the name selection lil!! (intrigued & jealous!)

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 05/02/2016 21:27

Actually 5hell DP and I were discussing that very thing today. I have had 3 colds back to back since coming home from Iceland at New Year plus lots of nerve pain from growing bump ao have slowed right down on physical activity as have also been busy with work. Plus adding kidney trouble into the mix and I have been feeling quite sorry for myself and comfort eating sweets which isn't really like me... A model I used to work with has done a sugar and gluten free cookbook last year that got great reviews so I have just ordered it on Amazon. I am wrapping up work after next week so can go crazy in the kitchen trying recipes to satisfy my sweet tooth then. I am confident that if I can stop the sugar binges it will be under control relatively quickly. How are you feeling anyhow. You're not far behind me weeks-wise are you?

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 05/02/2016 21:28

Also v v curious about names for minilil!

TriJo · 05/02/2016 21:30

Spoke to both my parents this evening Thursday - today seems to have gone pretty well, a nerve test they did today shows no lasting damage anyway and she's now finally on a ward as opposed to being out in a corridor on a trolley like she was last night (fuck the Irish public healthcare system).

Found out today my cover is now starting on the 22nd instead of the 8th. Little man better not make a break for it at 35 weeks...

lildottie · 05/02/2016 21:43

You can all be curious for another 19weeks ;)

Thinking maybe I should follow you sky and get back on the healthy eating! Let us know what the book is like

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 05/02/2016 21:58

This is the book. It gets great reviews Sweetness and Light

KateBeckett · 05/02/2016 22:02

pee yes we've gone for H as the times suited us better, plus will be closer than K once we have moved (removal company booked for Tuesday!)

Thanks for the reassurance pretz I'm lucky in a way that dp is so good with meeting people, but then I sometimes rely on him a bit too much and get more nervous seeing people on my own. Stupid really! Glad you are making progress with your NcT group.
Hope M is okay, gorgeous little squish that she is!

tri sorry to hear about your mum xx

sky that sucks, will let let you control it with diet first?

Dp and I have just had an argument (just a huff, nothing major!) as everything that is bothering me atm is greeted with 'it's fine it's just pregnancy' - have been having dizzy spells for a few days now, especially when I lay down/ stand up. Mentioned it to dp, asked if he thought it was normal 'well you ARE pregnant' in an exasperated tone of voice. And then when I questioned him he got huffy because he's 'not an expert!' Well don't fucking patronise me and act like you are then! Just say I don't know, maybe it's just a pregnancy thing, let's find out.
Rargh. Too tired and stressed with the house decorating/move and work so have no patience for him! Poor guy!

Also, I did a big sneeze today and nearly peed myself Confused I'm doing the exercises!! Obviously not well enough!

lildottie · 05/02/2016 22:10

Have I got away with the sneeze pee's? I've not had an issue... yet...?

CarrotPuff · 05/02/2016 22:53

Well done lil you're doing better than us. We still don't have girl's name Confused**

Good to hear it's good news so far Tri.
*
Kate* take it easy when you're standing up. Slowly does it. For me it got better further along, but it could be just because I'm no longer capable of doing anything quickly Grin

Bought some stuff for hospital bag today. Mat pads and new toothbrush. Will start packing tomorrow!

lildottie · 05/02/2016 23:02

I always knew I wanted to use my nans name for a girl, boys names gave been a nightmare. Surprised we've found one tbh!

ThursdayLastWeek · 06/02/2016 07:52

Morning all!

Sorry for not catching up properly yesterday.

I'm glad you've been in touch with your folks Tri, and I'm glad she's in good hands. Wishing her a swift recovery, and stressless for you too Thanks

sky what a bummer about your GTT, though it sounds like you can have under control. Denying the sugar cravings is tough in pregnancy. I don't usually have a sweet tooth but pregnancy and BFing are a whole other story.

carrot yy to the thirst. It's unshakeable in me ever since i gave birth to DS and has got worse since I'm knocked up again. Weird.

I slept for 10 hours last night with two pee stops. Bliss.
