Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 45th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The 44th grads thread is HERE

The thread we have graduated from is HERE in its 58th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread HERE
for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

HERE is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates.

Morning all.

Had a power cut this morning due to the blummin' high winds.
I thought for an awful moment I was going to have to leave the house to amuse DS, but it's ok. Power and therefore CBeebies has been resumed PHEW

honeysucklejasmine · 08/02/2016 10:59

Morning all. Had a relatively (for me) busy day yesterday. Went out in morning as usual, and then had a friends baby shower in the afternoon. We went for an afternoon tea. I demolished the sandwiches but couldn't face cake. But it was all good. Bit of a drive as I offered to take people but it was all very pleasant so I don't mind at all.

Of course as I was busy I felt baby was a bit quiet, but has resumed kicking me this morning so I am reassured.

Still dossing on sofa today. Can't be bothered to be constructive.

KeepTheHope · 08/02/2016 11:16

Morning Viroids, sounds like lots of you had very busy and productive weekends! We had my step dad and his partner visiting which was nice. Two meals out meant I didn't cook all weekend which was a bonus!

Step dad's partner is also expecting, ten weeks ahead of me, so took her to a mothercare outlet near us yesterday morning. Last thing DH said to me was "don't buy anything"... Famous last words. Once he saw the incredibly cute teeny baby grows he couldn't be angry though. The look on his face made me melt.

Sympathies to those suffering with coughs and colds, I feel your pain. Managed to avoid them so far but think DH has infected me. Sore throat, sneezy and a bit of a cough - not impressed at all.

Thur that sounds like a very good Saturday night Star

Mermaid I hope your sister is doing ok and it all goes well this week.

Work is much quieter than normal with it being half term so I have a feeling it might drag Sad

CarrotPuff · 08/02/2016 12:56

Lil my wisdom teeth have been awfully misbehaved since I got pg. I don't have the bottom ones through as there's not enough space, and they just keep flaring up. Hope your ulcer gets sorted, it's awful when you can't even enjoy your food on top of all pregnancy woes.

We had a very productive weekend too - chest of drawers put together, all baby stuff washed and put away, crib put together, although DP forgot to take the mattress down, but he can do it some day after work. Also put most of the stuff together for hospital bag - only need to add a few bits and put it all into the bag. Getting quite excited now Smile

MollyBloomYes · 08/02/2016 12:59

Tri Thanks hope your mum is soon on the way to recovery

Sky my gtt was 7.9 but they didn't do anything as it was still just about acceptable for my pct so you just be really really borderline. Hopefully no sugar will help, fret not. Does explain my giant babies though!

I like mini eggs, they're pretty alright. I am however currently worryingly and expensively addicted to the Lindor truffle type things. Perfect cluster feeding sustenance!

honeysucklejasmine · 08/02/2016 13:18

Ulcers are awful Lil. Iglu is the best for them, I find. Bonjela is shite.

Molly I bought BIL (Dsis other half one, not young annoying one) a giant ball filled with them for Christmas. I daresay he's finished them by new years by now. DBro also loves them but loves the orange flavoured ones. I prefer the normal milk chocolate myself.

Need to have lunch. Can't be arsed.

TriJo · 08/02/2016 13:52

Molly She's improved a good bit since Thursday thankfully, looks like little to no lasting damage and she's been having a bit of physio on the affected arm. She's being kept in until Wednesday because she needs a particular test that's only done on that day in her hospital but should be good to go home after that.

Today sucks. Can I go home and start again?

CarrotPuff · 08/02/2016 15:36

That's great news Tri. Yes, you have my permission to go home. I'd gladly do it myself - extremely slow and boring day in the office today.

I've gone off normal food again. Only want snacky stuff like toast or sandwiches....

Oh and SIL is having a CS tomorrow. Very excited for them Smile

FeatheredTail · 08/02/2016 16:29

Need to properly catch up on the thread, but I just had to share that we have bought our travel package/pram!!!!

Copied Pretz and went for the armadillo xt in dark navy/brown handle based on the compact fold (and nice helpful salesman). Also managed to negotiate an upgrade on the car seat (a snazzy extendable one) as a bonus.

I feel breathlessly anxious with the money spent. I hope I don't regret not going for the oyster2 (tiny fold).

5hell · 08/02/2016 17:12

oooh how exciting feathered Grin ...just had a google and it looks lovely; well done on upgrade too!

it's so bloody hard making that final decision - there's too much choice and most likely none of them are perfect, but in the end you just have to pick one and stop looking :)

but bonjela is so tasty honey !!

honeysucklejasmine · 08/02/2016 17:24

That's the problem 5hell. It's not going to do any good if you lick it off the ulcer. Wink

lildottie · 08/02/2016 17:26

I can't stand that iglu stuff honey, it just comes straight off it! Bonjela does I agree taste great but is also useless! I usually use anbesol but can't in pgcy so I'm surviving with cordysol mouth wash ATM.

So tired, don't want to cook buy really must. Could happily chomp thru some linfir about now. Yum!

Peenut · 08/02/2016 17:27

Bah, I posted a long message earlier but it didn't post!

Glad you mum is on the mend Tri, must be a relief!

Good work on the Armadillo purchase Feathered! Don't worry, breathlessness will fade by tomorrow, I hate that initial emptying of bank account feeling. Dread mixed with guilt!

I like it in that new Donna Wilson print ... wonder if that'll go in the sale before July? Any chance? No prob not!

Peenut · 08/02/2016 17:28

Good that we are on the same NCT class Kate! Hope your Gdad is OK too. (Sorry meant to say that days ago but got busy over the weekend).

honeysucklejasmine · 08/02/2016 17:31

Thursday kisses! Thanks for sticking up for me to outrageously oversensitive lady. Wink A bunfight of my very own, how exciting. It's almost as satisfying as attracting trolls over on feminism chat. Grin

honeysucklejasmine · 08/02/2016 17:32

Lil corsdyl is pretty good to be fair. Hope it heals up nicely.

ThursdayLastWeek · 08/02/2016 17:34

Haha you're welcome honey, I thought it was pretty obvious you were being tongue in cheek Confused
Hey ho, nowt as queer as folk eh?

honeysucklejasmine · 08/02/2016 17:46

Damn straight. Maybe I should write

"Disclaimer: light hearted. This is my opinion. This is not a judgement on your decisions"

Before every post. Wink

FeatheredTail · 08/02/2016 17:55

AIBU thread gone orribly wrong Honey?

Yeah, 5hell if it had been up to me I would have had the specs of the short listed prams down in an excel sheet. Sadly (or perhaps fortunately) DH wanted the decision made ASAP and the everything-you-need-in-one-bundle nature of the Flip appealed to him.

Pee I LOVE the peacock liberty print version. Sadly it was an additional £50. £50 we don't have to spend on such frivolity (darn baby is getting nicer stuff than I ever had!! In MY day, the pram was simply an emptied apple crate on wheels.... etc etc).

Sincerely hope MIL and DM's offers to buy something for the baby/put a little money towards travel system were genuine otherwise... #deepshit #helloAmexMyOldFriend....

honeysucklejasmine · 08/02/2016 18:05

Lol no! It's just a lighthearted thread in pregnancy. Nothing controversial at all. Someone else has weighed in now to tell them to wind their neck in. Very satisfying. Wink

ThursdayLastWeek · 08/02/2016 18:10

You won't regret having a half decent travel system folks. DH & I were too squeamish to shell out with DS and spent £100 on a Red Kite pram. Biggest piece of shit you ever saw. Subsequently spent more on carriers!

A decent pushchair will do you for a whole family, and keep its resale value. The shit we bought just went to the dump.

I'm so happy to have bought the icandy this time around, mostly because I use it for DS for trips into town ever since I've been pregnant.

FeatheredTail · 08/02/2016 18:49

Haha, I saw the thread Honey. Why do people get so het up?! Yes, I was satisfied to see someone else tell the harper-on-er to pipe down.

Thurs I LOVED the strawberry SO MUCH. It steered like a ruddy dream. But we needed a smaller fold due to space constraints.

ThursdayLastWeek · 08/02/2016 18:58

Yes, we're quite lucky that we have the space for an icandy. The strawberry is what we have Smile I just bought the adaptors to go on it for the maxi cosi infant car seat we're borrowing from a friend (until she needs it back, she's only due like three months after me!)

5hell · 08/02/2016 19:02

linfir lil ???,
Cannot figure out that typo (unless it's some delicious delicacy I've never heard of)

Got free amazon prime baby box today. ..can't believe I got almost £50 worth of stuff for nowt Grin
