Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 39th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The 37th grads fred is HERE

The thread we have graduated from is HERE in its 53rd outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread HERE for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

HERE is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates.

Pah, you can totally ask DH JC, you're pregnant! Grin

Have started getting serious chocolate cravings in the last couple of weeks. Makes up for the tinned fruit craving of the first trimester. Just ransacked the cupboards, couldn't find anything, not even cooking chocolate. Got seriously desperate and even looked in the cake decoration box. Found some chocolate sprinkles with a best before date of October 2014. Ate them with a spoon. Confused They were amazing.

rdm10 · 11/10/2015 18:45

Congrats rhi
bat Maybe baby batlet is waiting til your bag is packed!? Once that bag is zipped up baby might just slip out!?
pud I'm not teaching, just got groups in the morning and doing cover each afternoon. I'm going to see what they say on Tuesday at my 36 wk scan and decide on mat leave then.
Oh and I think desperately shovelling sprinkles in your mouth to satisfy a craving is totally acceptable!!

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 11/10/2015 20:27

Oh pud that's awesome Star

lildottie · 11/10/2015 20:45

Evening viroids. Lolling at the tinned fruit craving!

purple well done on getting out for a few hours!

bat I hope your still thinking positive?!

So newb question. Any advice on how to deal with the not quite 5 wks but look 3 months pregnant bloat belly? It's fine first thing in the morning but by tea time I'm huge. I think the pessaries are partially to blame so can't do anything about that, and I generally avoid white carbs anyway. Any other advice of what to eat/avoid? Not been constipated at all yet this time which makes it more confusing!

gaggiagirl · 11/10/2015 21:53

lil as far as I'm aware, there is nothing you can do. Nothing. Just be bloated. It happens to us all. Sorry!

oneyorkshirepud · 11/10/2015 22:29

Just give it a rub Lil Grin if it is uncomfortable try peppermint tea or similar.

DM just text to say 'has the baby got a play gym?' I had to reply with 'what is a play gym?!' Blush Is it the same as a play mat?! I figure having a baby is a learning curve ha ha.

Went to dinner at a friend's tonight. She gave me her leftover maternity pads. That's true friendship right there.

oneyorkshirepud · 11/10/2015 22:37

Ha ha DM just text back to say she didn't know what a play gym was either but that my godparents wanted to buy the baby one!

Niffertiti · 11/10/2015 22:41

Woah mega catch up. You dropped off my threads, still not quite used to having MN back again!

Congrats rhi for doing a baby, and get moving batlet! Time to make your way to the exit! I do think there might be something in that zipping up your hospital bag tho bat... The baby might just know.

I am totally incapable of remembering more than three posts at a time so this catch up may take many installments...

Niffertiti · 11/10/2015 22:44

Lil there is nothing to be done about the early bloat. Later prunes are the key thing. Lots and lots of prunes. I have a craving for some right now actually!

Pud chocolate sprinkles are totally a legitimate foodstuff. You ate them with a spoon, totes sophisticated!

And JC asking your DH to fetch donuts isn't too big an ask is it? He can reward himself with one for going!

honeysucklejasmine · 11/10/2015 22:46

Peppermint tea and lots of it!

Niffertiti · 11/10/2015 22:49

Honey sorry for painful movements but hoorah for a wriggly baby! And for more scans!

Feathered joy for early scan! That heartbeat is amazing isn't it! It's a long old wait to 12 weeks but once you've heard the heartbeat that's definitely a good thing.**
**
And Thursday well impressed with the running! I was in a non- running phase when I got pg so I haven't massively wanted to take chances with my dodgy knees, but I do miss it a bit. I have been swimming. However I now feel like a fat lump!

Niffertiti · 11/10/2015 23:00

Right I think I've hogged enough posts by now so sorry to anyone whose news I've missed. Sieve for brain, too much packing.

But questions: jelly when are you due to move? Will you put pics on FB of new house? Sounds so exciting!

And lil hope you don't mind me getting over-excited but when do you find out if it's giblets (well, twins) or a singleton? My colleague is pg with IVF twins a few weeks ahead of me. She has two babies wriggling away in there, somehow my brain cannot compute being kicked by two babies at once. It's amazing though, I'm still crossing everything for you. Let us know when scan day is and I'll plait my hair too...

And GTT test ladies, I've had my 28w appointment and they've done the bloods, if they've not mentioned anything do I assume I don't need it? What are the 28w bloods for anyways? I had a stroppy cow of a midwife who just tells you off the whole time (and I'm a stroppy cow myself, I'm really not easy to tell offAngry) so I didn't bother asking any questions whilst I was there...

honeysucklejasmine · 11/10/2015 23:09

Niff you only need it if your bmi is 30+, I think. Assuming you have no other risk factors.

WouldRatherHaveCake · 12/10/2015 03:15

Can't sleep due to major scanxiety, but I've been feeling movement! Lying here concentrating and poking the gut, glad I'm finally feeling wiggles! Smile

Niffertiti · 12/10/2015 04:42

Also checking in for the 4am party would. Head too full of moving admin and packing to sleep. You'll enjoy the scan although completely understand the scanxiety. If cakelet is wriggling around in there though that's a great sign. Will you find out what flavour cakelet you're having?

oneyorkshirepud · 12/10/2015 05:48

Also awake due to getting the fear over lack of movement. Chugged some OJ and laid back down and this seemed to give the baby quite violent hiccups (sorry baby!) But it is now wiggling away in there too.
Do hiccups normally count as movement as they are involuntary? Just wondered for future reference. Right going to try to get another hour's sleep now that I have stopped panicking.
Bat I hope you are starting to feel something happening...

batfish · 12/10/2015 06:18

Aww would don't worry, your scan will be amazing!

lil my friend is pregnant after IVF and she was also very bloated in the beginning, guess it's the infections and drugs. She is 20 weeks now and has a lovely little bump Smile

No batlet! Bump felt very heavy and sore last night like every time I stood up the baby was going to fall out the bottom and baby has also been wriggling like a mentalist for the past 3 days. But all feeling completely normal this morning, bump not sore or anything! Next acupuncture session tomorrow. However I do have good hospital bag news - it is as packed as it's ever going to be! I washed a couple of things I want to take with me so now all I need to put in is the last minute stuff like toiletries that I use on a daily basis and phone chargers etc. And they're all on a list so quick and easy to get together. V proud of myself, bag all packed at only 41 weeks Grin

batfish · 12/10/2015 06:19

Glad you've got baby moving pud, I hate lack of movement worries!

oneyorkshirepud · 12/10/2015 06:48

Urgh me too.

Glad you've packed your bag at last Bat, well done!

Good luck with the scan today Would!

ThursdayLastWeek · 12/10/2015 07:56

I have to book myself in for that GTT thing too - the consultant recommended it as Ds was on the large side and my mum has since been diagnosed with type 2.
Apparently I can get it done at my docs surgery.

Today DH needs the sitting room for work and Ds can't be trusted so I am going to soft play hell as soon as it opens Sad and then do a shop.

Make the most of those babies viroids. Bring a first time mum with a newborn is one thing ~ being pregnant and harassed by a toddler quite another

WouldRatherHaveCake · 12/10/2015 08:05

Yeah hopefully will.find out the flavour! Eek!

gaggiagirl · 12/10/2015 08:08

Morning!
I have a ceiling to paint and some tiles to bleach then I'm doing nothing but watching shite on telly.
DP has only had 9 hours sleep.....poor special snowflake that he is. I haven't slept for 3 weeks. Might commit a murder. Hmmm.

honeysucklejasmine · 12/10/2015 08:16

Have a good time cake! But tell them you want to know when you get in there. I didn't, as sonographer didn't ask like I thought she would, then got all huffy with me when I mentioned it to DH ("what do you think it'll be, sweetie" got "its too late now, you should have said!!!")

jellypi3 · 12/10/2015 08:23

Morning!

ga I'd be tempted to get the kitchen knife out. Dp was complaining about his back today, I wanted to slap him.

lil peppermint tea, ginger tea, rubbing it gently, apart from that not much else helps.

would good luck today. Can't wait for scan pics! I'm voting girl :)

pud glad you got baby to move. How do you know when baby is hiccoughing? Also have you started your hospital bag? I vaguely remember you saying you would have it started at 30 weeks Wink

niff hopefully soon. We are just waiting to exchange which our solicitor thinks could be this week or next and then we are moving. I'll put loads of pics on fb :)

bat is it this week you are due to be induced?

Right catch up over. My bump is really tight today. Could that be BH's? Or could it be over doing it? Did loads of packing yesterday so could have been that?

Oh and a woman is opposite me on the train drinking energy drink and I'm trying not to counter at the smell...
