Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 39th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The 37th grads fred is HERE

The thread we have graduated from is HERE in its 53rd outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread HERE for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

HERE is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates.

My right butt cheek / hip is a but sore too. Hoping it's because I tend to sit in it with my legs up. Must change my regular sofa seat. Argh!

Afternoon lovelies. Hurray for new Fred Jelly, and moving babies Smile

would I'm glad you're back Smile

We've bought a perfect prep and given up mix feeding. My boobs have got fuck all and he gets so angry when they empty. I also haven't fed him whilst being on antibiotics as I don't want them to get through to him and give him headaches and the shits too
Tell me I'm not a bad mother viroids, I'm doing a grand job of beating myself up for failing to BF

Purple you are feeding your baby!! Ok it's not with milk from you but you're doing everything you can to make sure he isn't hungry and looking after him. That's all that matters!

honey no date yet, the bank messed up DP's name so waiting for that to be fixed but shouldn't be more than 4-6 weeks!

carrot it's a pre eclampsia study (for science!!) so i get a through checking over, BP taken 3 times, urine same checked, blood checked, and then baby checked, blood vessels and placenta checked and cord checked :) I had one at 6 weeks, 10 weeks, 22 weeks (today) and one more at 34 weeks. It's great!

Had the scan, all was fine, baby being a little monster again and not moving her hands from her face lol. Really nice seeing her again though. She weights almost a pound!

purple you didn't fail love, you've just ended up going down a different route to what you expected. You're doing amazing.

Purple you haven't failed, you are feeding your baby the best way you can! Stop beating yourself up! You're doing amazing job, you should be proud of yourself Flowers

Jelly it sounds very exciting, I love science! I also participated in blood donation study, but had to drop out because I got upduffed with DS.

My sister is sending me a parcel with all DS's tiny clothes that I've sent her when she had hers. Aww, can't wait to go through tiny babygros!

purple YOU ARE NOT A BAD MOTHER!

you wanted to bf, you tried, but not every baby/boob is compatible. for all the hating of formula companies etc they are needed by many and do serve to feed many babies. little-purple will be fine either way :)

I'd like to bf, and hopefully will, but tbh I'm terrified of not being able to for any reason because I have a friend who is uber-pro-bf and I can just imagine her reaction if I stop before kid is 2! she's a wonderful friend and has been so good through mc and early this pg, but I slightly fear any disagreement with her re bf/attatchment/crying etc Confused

Thanks lovelies, I needed to hear it Smile
DH is fully in support, he says the same thing.
B is just lovely although we didn't end up going out today as he projectile vomited twice this morning and I didn't fancy that when we were out for lunch.

jelly B did that on scans too, he still has one hand next to his face a lot of the time, or he folds his hands together and looks a bit like Yoda Smile
Carrot you'll have a lovely time with baby clothes Smile

Well purple I think you're an excellent mother for beings sensible in buying the perfect prep. Marvellous bit of kit and doesn't keep baby waiting! Breast is not best if you and he are stressed so please don't beat yourself up, formula isn't poison. In fact I know already I'll be at least mixed feeding this one as it worked out so well with DS (went on to full time ff at six months) and he's gorgeous and healthy and clever and fab and I got my sanity back! Fearless formula feeder is a great blog if you're feeling a bit wobbly still Smile

Purple you are doing an amazing job of being a Mum and your little boy is gorgeous. That is all you need to know.

Carrot definitely get a gym ball, you too Would. I have one for work and one at home. I haven't been using the one at home as I am lazy and lie on the sofa. MW today told me to sit on the ball instead! TBF sitting on it at work has really helped. Also knees together when getting out of bed and the car, try not to do too much - and avoid stairs where possible apparently! Swimming is okay for exercise though.

28 week appointment today, baby pud seems all good, got to hear the hb again. Booked in for whopping cough jab, flu jab and next two mw appointments. Epic!

i must say when im on the gym ball my back doesn't hurt. It's agony at work though on my chair, and today getting the scan done and laying on my back was so painful! i'm deffo going to mention it to my midwife at my appointment next week!

Can you get a gym ball at work Jelly? Not sure how it works in your area but if you can refer yourself to the obstetric physio, I could do it online. Or if not definitely get mw to do it next week.

Pretzel how is your back? Did you manage to get a proper appointment with the physio?

Report
jellypi3 · 24/09/2015 17:54

I don't think I could pud. I work at a desk that's a fixed height so I'd be way too low down if I tried to sit on a gym ball.

Do I have a semi healthy dinner tonight or get Chinese?

Jelly you can get bigger gym balls than standard. The gym at Stoke Mandevile rehab hospital had some almost 5 foot tall!

Report
oneyorkshirepud · 24/09/2015 18:46

Jelly be healthy, save the Chinese for a night when you can't even contemplate the choice! I had salad for tea and I would polish my halo as a result but it was only because I ate so many sweets at work today that I thought I might have actually given myself diabetes.

I am one of the lurkers you speak of Shell! I've had hardly any symptoms and couldn't believe I was actually pg. Today was my first appointment and scan and I worked myself up into such a state beforehand. Amazingly, all is well. Good sized jelly baby, wriggling around and a fast heartbeat. Now I feel like I actually belong here on the grads. Going to try to relax a bit and not be such a psycho
Purple you made a healthy baby!! Don't be down on yourself, he'll be just fine on formula.
Acupuncture is supposed to be good for back pain and it is safe in pg, as long as your practitioner knows you are upduffed.

Great news fruit congrats on the lovely scan!

purple you have absolutely nothing to feel guilty about - breastfeeding is only worth it if it works for you both and if it wasn't then B will be much happier on formula. It is a personal decision between you and hubby and don't ever let anyone else stick their oar in. You're doing a great job - first of many tough parenting decisions and well done for making it.

Not 100% packed but pretty much just clothes and toiletries and stuff like that - I've got a list so it will be easy to throw stuff in when I need to, we're all good Grin I'm totally in denial about being at the top of the list anyway, if I don't look at it then it isn't true! I've got plans for next week so it isn't going to be convenient to do a baby before the due date so loads of time right!!
