Whilst the rest of us chowed down on runny eggs and shellfish, deeply sneezed out a baby!...It's superb scans all around and only the occasional nose-vom on JS Grads 38!

Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 38th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The 37th grads fred is here

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 53rd outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

Here is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates.

honey my mam is obsessed with the place. Its always her destination of choice!
bat scan every week? That's friggin awesome. What's the hospital like? X

oneyorkshirepud · 16/09/2015 07:47

Yey for 20 weeks Pretzel, that's exciting!

Ga, enjoy TK Maxx, buy the crazy stuff!

Stupid back keeping me stupidly awake. Have heard diddly squat from the obstetric physio. Mneh. Going to leave work at half 3 today and come home to sleep on the sofa!

batfish · 16/09/2015 07:55

Booooo for back pain pud, sounds horrid.

ga we are very lucky here with hospitals as get a private room with en suite and the hospital I am going to is into active labour and staying calm all of that so the rooms are a bit crazy - dim lights and stars on the ceiling and a birthing pool in every bathroom! Let's face it though I'll probably ruin the whole experience by running through the doors screaming for an epidural! But nice to know that all that stuff is there if by some miracle I do manage to not be a massive wuss and actually remain calm.

ThursdayLastWeek · 16/09/2015 08:15

bat that hospital sounds lush - I'm sure the atmosphere will help your state of mind.

ga I bloody love tk maxx, all my best household things come from there!

Playgroup starts again this morning, so that's the morning sorted, and I think I'm going to take the dog out for jog this evening. But other than that it's a boring day chez Thursday.

jellypi3 · 16/09/2015 08:23

I'm going back to work snotty and gross just to pass my colleagues off.

Have a nice day all!

Jcandy · 16/09/2015 08:48

Sounds like another busy day ga I don't know how you manage it!

Hope you are feeling well enough to go in jelly

bat that hospital sounds amazing!! I hope you do get to use the rooms, bet you'll be so calm in there you won't need anything else Smile

Oh pud is there anyway your midwife can speed up your appointment if you're struggling?

Sorry for the lack of contact for the last few days viroids. I've not been feeling the best at times so have always caught up but just not posted. I was off work last week but went back yesterday. I'm really not sure what to do now though. I have 2 jobs one on the ward and one in an office. They are both making me stressed but the office one less so as physically it's easier and I can take a break when I need to. But because of the ward one I'm ending up going off sick for both. Is there anything I can do? I don't want to keep going off sick but I also don't know how to cope working on the ward. Sad

batfish · 16/09/2015 08:56

jc sorry to hear you're not feeling great still Flowers Can you talk to them and explain that you don't feel you can manage the ward stuff and say that if possible you don't want to go off sick so would they be able to just give you the office work? I'm sure they would rather you were there doing something than not there at all. Sounds really hard you poor thing Sad

Jcandy · 16/09/2015 09:09

I think hey would let me bat but they would also reduce my pay. I need every bit of money I can get and the thought of not having it stresses me too. Especially as my office time is only 2 days a week so I'd be loosing a third of my wage

batfish · 16/09/2015 09:21

Ah I see jc, sounds like a tough situation. Not good for you to be stressed though - if you are fully off sick then it won't affect your pay? May be the best option unfortunately if there is no way of them finding full time office work for you to do.

Jcandy · 16/09/2015 09:29

My manager is off at the moment so can't ask her about full time office work but that's something I think it would be good to try. Hopefully it's available. I'll ask her next week.

5hell · 16/09/2015 09:34

jc i don't know what the legal position is, but i thought workplaces had to do what they can to accommodate working through pregnancy...for example I think I would be permitted to refuse to work in the laboratory due to potential exposure to toxic compounds, radioactivity etc and they would have to find me enough office work to keep me working.

hope they can find a way to help you Flowers

Ooh I forget to tell you all. This morning I actually shit myself.
(you're welcome ladies)
I was standing in the bathroom bleaching me sink (of course) and I shat my shorts! Grin what a glamorous preggo symptom that is.
Beat that viroids.

batfish · 16/09/2015 10:11

Oh ga you poor thing! So glad we can share these things Grin

gaggiagirl · 16/09/2015 10:56

Yes me too. No one in real life would want to know that Grin

mountaingirl01 · 16/09/2015 11:14

Oh gaggia I'm sorry but that did make me laugh! I think it's the wonderful irony of shitting whilst bleaching.. how did you come to be full term btw?! When did that happen?

gaggiagirl · 16/09/2015 11:54

mountain I know! I'm not ready, the kitchen is too dusty!!!!
I think I'm allergic to my beloved bleach!!

purplewhale · 16/09/2015 13:03

Sorry Ga, I nearly spat my tea out reading that!

ChatEnOeuf · 16/09/2015 13:07

JC can you give occupational health a call?

jellypi3 · 16/09/2015 13:48

Bahaha ga that's hilarious. Sorry but it is. Good job on the cleaning though.

jc hugs x

I'm on my way home. Apparently I'm too sick to be in. It's a cold for crying out loud. I must look and sound worse than I feel.

honeysucklejasmine · 16/09/2015 14:54

Oh Ga. You do provide a source of entertainment. What will we do when you pop?!

Jcandy · 16/09/2015 15:23

If they say you are too sick jelly then you are too sick! Just rest! I know I'm one to talk

Oh ga you go through all the glamorous things in pregnancy don't you Smile

I spoke to my matron and she says I'm too ill to be in work so has taken me off my shifts tomorrow and Saturday. Going to speak to my manager when she is back on monday and hopefully get office work. My matron said that shouldn't be an issue as long as I was well enough to be in work at all. Feeling much calmer about it now I have some sort of plan

pretzelpieces · 16/09/2015 17:37

pud sorry your back is being a knobhead Flowers Good that you are escaping work early.

bat that hospital sounds lovely!

ga Ooh full term is on the horizon! Sorry to hear about the poo Grin

jelly get well soon Flowers I guess they don't want you to infect anyone else as well!

jc I'm sorry things are hard Sad I hate that you're in this situation. By law they have to make reasonable adjustments for disability (including mental health problems) and you shouldn't be made to feel pushed into things beyond your current physical and mental capabilities. Well done for talking to your matron. GX for office duties.

Thanks for the congrats on 20 weeks/halfway everyone! Me and DP heard the heartbeat at my MW appointment and it was such a huge relief! All sounding good and baby kicked the doppler!! So I'm happy. Now for scanxiety for anomaly scan on Monday to commence.

batfish · 16/09/2015 18:11

jc that sounds like positive news, I'm glad it's eased your worries a bit.

Yay for hearing heartbeat pretzel! Roll on the scan!

Had docs appt tonight - first scan where we couldn't get a pic because baby wasn't facing the camera but I guess at this point that's a good thing as they are supposed to be face down for birth....head seemed to be down where it should be too judging by where he was poking his scanner! Baby is approx 6.5lb now, eeeeek! We don't get given our notes here as we go along but they gave them to me tonight just in case, it's all getting a bit serious! Oh and I tested negative for group b strep, yay!

oneyorkshirepud · 16/09/2015 18:12

Oh wow that's fantastic news Pretzel!

JC yes go for ft office work if you can. Perhaps if you put a short proposal together of the extra bits you could do in those three days? All those jobs that never get done/new projects/things that will make the department run more smoothly etc? I am v v lucky my work has me on ft admin, although I am doing a bit of cover teaching but not a lot. Not only is it great for me it is great for the department as they can concentrate on teaching at the beginning of term instead of running about like headless chickens as I can do everything else. They are very protective of me though and keep telling me to sit down etc so maybe your colleagues were just looking out for you today Jelly!

Ga you are my favourite. I don't know if I can beat that but Eris will try: I came home today, had a wee and stood up. As soon as I did Eris jumped up onto what she was clearly expecting to be a closed toilet lid. in the bowl she went and I had to pull out a mewling kitten covered in my own wee and give her a bath in the sink. She is an original brand of special that one! Thankful that I hadn't just done a massive poo

Ooh Bat that sounds like the hippy MLU I won't to go to for my pain free birth.

Thanks for the back sympathy Viroids. It's totally fine during the day it's just at night that it is bad. Got MW next week (28 week appointment, WTF?!) So will see if she can speed up the referral. DH cooking tea tonight while I sit on the sofa and holler instructions. Winner Smile

honeysucklejasmine · 16/09/2015 20:00

Why is OBEM not on, again?! The series didn't finish did it?
