Whilst the rest of us chowed down on runny eggs and shellfish, deeply sneezed out a baby!...It's superb scans all around and only the occasional nose-vom on JS Grads 38!

Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 38th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The 37th grads fred is here

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 53rd outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

Here is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates.

So exciting thursday! I'm going to pick up my pram and travel system from my aunt this weekend. Going to take it with us when we look for a new car.

batfish · 08/09/2015 19:55

Congrats on the poo baby pud - must have felt amazing! I now have a fear of pooing since developing the Jeremies a few days ago, lucky for me I only usually go 2-3 times a week anyway!

I'm writing a birth plan, how grown up am I!

ThursdayLastWeek · 08/09/2015 19:56

Very good plan jelly - our first pram didn't fit in the boot of my polo, it was a bloody nightmare!
This time I have a car with a bigger fucking enormous boot and a much fancier pram, I ain't making that mistake again!

Much love and breast feedy vibes being sent to purple and baby purple Thanks

FeatheredTail · 08/09/2015 20:00

Congrats Purple!

...how do I go about joining the fb group? (And can my friends see what I post/that I am a member?)

ThursdayLastWeek · 08/09/2015 20:04

If you PM me the email you use for FB I can probs add you feathered. And no, it's totally secret

WouldRatherHaveCake · 08/09/2015 20:05

I'll be refusing ventouse and forceps. If I need intervention I would rather go for the section

batfish · 08/09/2015 20:13

Yeah would I'm basically saying that I only want assistance in the event of an emergency and in terms of pain relief am saying yes please to entonox and I know what else is available and will scream for it when I'm ready! Which I'm sure I will be! Also putting skin to skin and delayed cord clamping in there. Glad I've been to antenatal classes as I didn't have a frigging clue about any of this stuff a few weeks ago, I wasn't going to write any plan!

MollyBloomYes · 08/09/2015 20:15

Oh god forceps give me the fear. I'd definitely go for cs over them! Thursday yup it was emcs last time, 33 hours, got to pushing, failed ventouse twice over (he was so bloody wedged up there the ventouse flew off his head and across the room!) then his heart rate did terrifying things so emcs it was. Then he was critically ill in scbu for a week (unrelated to cs) so all very traumatic! I was driving three weeks after though and on paracetamol and ibuprofen after three days so recovery pretty good really. Ohhhh I dunno, just have to keep mulling it over I guess!

Heartiest congratulations for the birth of Jeremy pud. Please don't keep him in moses basket.

oneyorkshirepud · 08/09/2015 20:16

I am with you there Would, I have an 'ideal' birth plan but if it doesn't go to plan I am willing to try everything apart from forceps. No thanks. I will write this on my birth plan but I am a bit worried that if it goes completely Pete Tong and the baby needs to come out quickly then I will be pretty easily swayed.

ThursdayLastWeek · 08/09/2015 20:18

in the moses basket GrinGrinGrin

molly my badly made point was that, should you labour but require an emcs anyway, recovery doesn't have to be awful. Sorry, I hope that's clear!

ThursdayLastWeek · 08/09/2015 20:20

If the baby need to be out quick, you won't care pud.
though saying that, even off my face on all the drugs I do remember clearly how relieved I was when the forceps failed to get DS out and I had to have a section.
That's another thing I fell bloody guilty about when I think about it! Fucks sake!

MollyBloomYes · 08/09/2015 20:32

Thanks Thursday yes, understood and my emcs wasn't awful recovery wise, understand that elcs can be even better so that's definitely low down on my pros and cons considerations!

MollyBloomYes · 08/09/2015 20:33

Oh and don't feel guilty, forceps can leave horrible bruises, I'd have been relieved!

FeatheredTail · 08/09/2015 20:37

Thanks Thursday!

Forceps scare the bejesus out of me too....and the last three people I know who have given birth have needed them. I'm just looking at my, er, fanjo region now and imagining a ruddy great pair of metal salad servers and feel faint. That said, all ladies are now totally recovered and have health babies, which is the no1 concern.

swoons

I'd also totally choose section over forceps

jellypi3 · 08/09/2015 20:46

Someone I know told me their colleague was forceps delivery and still has a scar on his face 18.years later. Can that happen?!?

ThursdayLastWeek · 08/09/2015 20:48

Can anyone else add Featherd? Either my iPad or FB is being a dick
Sorry!

gaggiagirl · 08/09/2015 20:50

Evening all.
My poor poor midwife dropped my open piss bottle at my routine check today. It soaked her pile of matb1 forms, went on the floor and sort of span and sprayed on the desk. That poor woman.
Busy day almost done, phew x

FeatheredTail · 08/09/2015 20:58

Good grief Gaggia, that made me laugh!

Beams round for another viroid to show a viroid some love and join me up to fb

(Thanks for trying *Thursday!)

jellypi3 · 08/09/2015 21:00

Man I am addicted to tyrells sweet and salted pop corn!!

I'm not on my pc right now so can't do it feathered sorry.

WouldRatherHaveCake · 08/09/2015 21:03

I had forceps last time and I wish I had known the damage they can cause. I'm struggling with pain as I grow now because of them. So never again! I don't want to make this all "me me me", but had my first appointment with the perinatal mental health team last week. I've got to have a debrief over the last birth and go from there. Can't stop thinking about it!

fruitlovingmonkey · 08/09/2015 21:16

I'm coming out of hiding to say congratulations to Purple!
All this chat about forceps is not making me want to hang around, viroids!

oneyorkshirepud · 08/09/2015 21:16

Feathered pm me your FB email and I will give it a go from the ipad.

MollyBloomYes · 08/09/2015 21:18

Yeah I know someone whose foof was destroyed by forceps and a couple of babes with very bruised faces, they look absolutely battered poor things. And I did my training with someone who had a forceps scar down the side of their face though again this was 20ish years ago so you'd hope techniques have improved? I don't know. Just heard enough horrors for me to really really not want them!

Debrief sounds good would hopefully to help you with moving on to positives. I feel a bit out on a limb to be honest, my midwife lovely but only contactable on a Tuesday and Dr's reception seemed to think she was on sick leave again. Can call the birth centre but they'll be so busy and I don't want to discuss everything on the phone (I'm rubbish on the phone). But I'd have to take ds to an appointment and...I'm inducing a tizzy and a flap in myself so time to breathe and inhale flapjack I think

oneyorkshirepud · 08/09/2015 21:26

P.s. Feathered I'm off to bed but if you pm me I'll do it tomorrow. Night all, hope you are enjoying the snuggles Purple.

SecondCupOfTea · 08/09/2015 21:35

Feathered you have a pm from me if you're still waiting.

It's just struck me that with the arrival of purple baby we all go up the list again Shock
