MrsFbabyNo1 · 30/06/2015 14:39

Yippee congratulations stinky!! See I wasnt far off guessing you the other week ð??? lovely story to hear... even when things don't go to the "preferred plan", all that really matters is baby brought safely into the world and your unconditional love for them means you'd do it again in a heartbeat. So as a first timer, I'm so going to remember that and what will be will be.

Hope all goes well Nurse, I'm plagued with the labour envy from all this exciting news.

Hot hot hot. 2 weeks they say it might last. I was out n about earlier and had to avoid a massive bee swarm in the middle of town centre. It was really interesting to see, but definitely one to view from waaaayyyy back.

smallgreenbanana · 30/06/2015 15:03

Good luck nursep Hope you get going soon. Smile Ooh, you're going to meet your baby today!!!

smallgreenbanana · 30/06/2015 16:12

All this talk of pregnancy massage and spa trips - decided to book something myself! Got a lady coming tomorrow as she had a space at short notice. Hurrah! Really looking forward to it. Grin

ohlordyplordy · 30/06/2015 18:05

Congratulations Stinky x

MuddyWellyNelly · 30/06/2015 18:20

Quick update. Baby has turned and is now head down, 4/5 palpable so I guess 1/5 engaged? Hopefully stays that way now! However have to go in for a scan and monitoring tomorrow as my bump is so small. I think it's just as I'm neat anyway and haven't really put on weight but I'm now on twice weekly monitoring. Happy to have the extra attention tbh.

Clstow · 30/06/2015 21:27

Woah fab new thread and so much to catch up on!

Huge congrats Stinky - Rudy is gorgeous and I LOVE the name, actually tried to get OH to put it on our shortlist, but he wasn't having it. Boo. Anyway, your Rudy is gorgeous, hope you're doing ok.

Great news that the baby has turned Muddy let us know how the scan goes tomorrow.

Best of luck Nurse - exciting that another baby will be along soon.

Can't believe it's actually July tomorrow, although I'm still thinking mine will be lazy and late and I'll end up with an August babba.

Saw the midwife today and all seems fine, head down, heartbeat good, wee clear, etc. Guess it's just a waiting game now. Decided there's no way I can handle the tube in the 35 degree heat expected in central London tomorrow so have given myself the day off! Hoping to finally pack my hospital bag... 36+3 today.

Sherbet38 · 30/06/2015 22:31

Congratulations stinky Smile

LaLaLaaaa · 30/06/2015 23:09

Good luck nurse!!!

Midwife today and baby is fully engaged and ready. Wow it's getting real!

Number3cometome · 01/07/2015 08:00

Muddy have you been having growth scans? I was tiny with DS, he came out 9lb on his due date.

This time I am small on scans so expecting a smaller baby, also on twice weekly monitoring but I am happy they are checking him over. I have a scan tomorrow.
37+3

MuddyWellyNelly · 01/07/2015 08:37

Number yes I had a 28 and 32 week scan. Those were diarised from very early on as it was an IVF pregnancy, maternal age etc, not because there were any concerns over size. Baby was measuring from 30th-50th centile on various measurements, so not worryingly tiny. I'm happy with the extra monitoring and hopefully the growth scan won't throw up any worries.

MuddyWellyNelly · 01/07/2015 08:38

Aaaaah. It's July. Baby month. GrinShock

MrsFbabyNo1 · 01/07/2015 09:16

1st July, you came come this month now good little babies!!!

I got told off by MrF yesterday as I didn't eat lunch and have spent last few days out busy all day - I should be resting apparently. I didn't purposely, I had haircut, more shopping /wandering, then large iced coffee with cream n caramel on top and triple chocolate muffin at noon, then loads of water. But never felt hungry enough for a sandwich.

Then was out on a work partner/work colleagues leaving dinner and had three courses in the evening as was hungry by then!!! I was out 5pm til 10pm, with hr each way driving.

Today I am simply hanging about at home!!! then my massage later teatime.

lala congrats on being fully engaged! tick tock tick tock... Grin

MrsFbabyNo1 · 01/07/2015 09:19

How's JoY? she wasn't a fb lady was she? I hope you're well out there as you've been missing in action on here. let us know how you are getting on.

BadIdeaBear · 01/07/2015 09:46

JoY isn't one of the FB group, no.

After a busy day yesterday involving a baby life-saving course, lunch in the sun in town, pregnancy yoga and the NCT breastfeeding workshop (no time for a proper dinner, which DH told me off about too, MrsF!), I'm hoping for a calmer day in the heat today. A friend coming round to my house in an hour or so, then midwife 38 week appt, then to a cafe in town with another friend and a book! And then home for dinner...

Thepurplegiraffe · 01/07/2015 09:54

I am looking after 3 children 4 and under today, not looking forward to it!

JoY007 · 01/07/2015 11:28

Hello Smile ladies,

Thank you, so nice and lovely to be remembered. xxx

I am still here. Was quiet as I did not have much to say Grin.

4 more days for me and I am ready for the little dude to come on out. More BH and some back ache but nothing regular.

Chilling in my gym cafe now after a work out session. Dreading the heat outside so nice and cool in here.

Any July arrivals yet?

Number3cometome · 01/07/2015 11:32

Joy007 a workout session? faints

Clstow · 01/07/2015 11:44

A workout? Joy I am SO impressed. I just hoovered and now feel like I can't possibly do anything else for the rest of the day!

So excited it's July... Might have a baby by the end of the month Grin

Anyone else noticed that fattymc has been v quiet? Maybe another early arrival?

JoY007 · 01/07/2015 12:47

Ha ha ha I had a 3 day break from the gym, and both my feet looked like that of an elephant Sad.

Thought best to stay active, swelling gone down now.

The gym instructors keep thinking I will pop Grin.

Going makes me feel so much better, it is tiring and much harder now in the final weeks. Focusing on those squats, heard it's more effective than kergels Hmm

MuddyWellyNelly · 01/07/2015 13:07

Joy I'm not a gym bunny but I have horses which I'm still looking after, pushing wheelbarrows of shite about the place. I feel much better for keeping active though perhaps this explains my tiny bump even though it can be hard to summon up the enthusiasm at first. I did get attacked by midges last night though which was less fun Hmm.

LaLaLaaaa · 01/07/2015 13:22

Muddy I'm envious! Had to sell my horse :( Had him out on loan intending to take him back afterwards but lady decided she wanted to return him unless I sold him to her and I had no choice as I couldn't have him back while pregnant, he needs exercising every day. I miss him :(

Kudos to any of you keeping up gym and horses etc ! I'm too lazy tired. I do have my weekly antenatal fitness class tonight though. I love it!

How bizarre is it that we are having babies this month!

MisterSafetyCatchIsNotOn · 01/07/2015 14:06

Thanks everyone and congrats Stinky, he's gorgeous! Hope you are not too sore.
purple hope you're surviving - do you have a paddling pool / water pistols? So you can sit in the shade sipping a cold drink while they wear themselves out in the garden.
MrsF sounds like you're having a lovely mat leave so far! I had lots of indulgent days (and sleep) planned too, was supposed to start this week, but DS2 had other ideas and no chance of much rest now as he won't sleep more than a few minutes unless on or attached to me, not that I'm complaining too much as I do love newborn cuddles!

I am loving having my second little boy here (and very thankful not to be pregnant in this heat!). We've been able to go out and about a lot the last few days thankfully as DS1 gets bored after a few hours in the house, but he is at his childminder's today so I'm enjoying some sofa cuddles endless feeding with DS2. A combination of clingy baby, hay fever and having just got to the end of a few very stressful weeks at work have left me pretty exhausted (oh and labour of course Smile) so I'm very grateful for the rest, even if feeling slightly guilty for kicking DS1 out for the day.

Hope all those due or twingeing have their little ones very soon!

smallgreenbanana · 01/07/2015 14:08

Chilled out now after my lovely pregnancy massage! Outdoor thermometer says 33C and still rising...!

JoY007 · 01/07/2015 14:46

Love horses always wished as a little girl I had one, only pet I am keen on.

Wow! It is hot! Not complaining, back home now and not leaving unless I am in labour. Stocked up on ice cream Grin and cold water.

In some strange way don't think I want to be in the labour ward on a day like this!
