Good luck Muddy, at least your body started something naturally with waters breaking. So even if you need a little help to get things moving niw, hope you feel better than you didn't have to have the induction with no natural signs (as you were really not wanting that).

Any news from Lala, hope her induction went OK and she's having lovely snuggles now I'm sure.

Won't be long now all of you left! We mustn't forget bout FattyMc, not sure what the nightowl thread / person she mentioned was.

Im def another one if the July mummies checking in on you all for the home stretch! Elliott is 2 weeks now and growing at a rate of knots! Dropped just 4oz by day 5 then put on a whole 1lb in 9 days at the 2 week check.Shock

Good news JoY bout your bladder sensitivity now all sorted. Bet that's a weight off your shoulders and a whole lot less twoing and froing to hospital!

Glad to hear your through those tough two weeks Arete. Yes bf is hard but really does get easier doesn't it.

Broody any name for your little lady yet? Smile

broodylicious · 30/07/2015 13:58

muddy, don't lose hope. This is how I started! Waters broke, contractions were there, then faded, then came back every five to seven minutes, then faded off a bit before coming back to three or four minutes. It was a slow burn for me but when she was coming, yeah she was coming!! Waters broke at 815pm Friday, baby arrived 250pm Saturday. All crossed for you hun xx

Yes mrsf, we have finally chosen our little lady's name. After much deliberation on mr broody's part, our lo is called Sienna Madeleine.

Just checking in and waving some pom poms for the end of you month ladies Smile Good luck muddy and raines, not long now.

lala hope your induction went well.

Baby Theo is now 6 day's old. He's feeding well and put on weight at each weigh in. Sleep is mixed... daytime naps and caffeine are my best friends Wink

Will be checking in to hear all the end of the month & August news. Can't believe after joining this thread before Christmas that the babies are nearly all here, time has flown by! Smile

charlieis30 · 30/07/2015 16:39

Had 41w appt today, was really emotional as expected to have baby by now (even though I know it's common for 1st time babies to go late!) ended up changing my mind and having a sweep, induction booked for next Thursday but I REALLY hope I don't have to go down that route. Having to adjust my mindset/expectations.

MuddyWellyNelly · 31/07/2015 17:44

Mini Mud is here!! Things were very dramatic in the end but we are both well. He's been asleep most of the day but just coming round a bit now. He is adorable. Story later!

Thepurplegiraffe · 31/07/2015 19:39

Congratulations Muddy, glad to hear you are both doing ok!

SparklyPenguin · 31/07/2015 19:50

Congrats Muddy! Wonderful news!

Gorgeous name Broody.

Glad to hear Theo is thriving Sherbert, though I know it's hard work.

Thanks to all the mummies still checking in with those if us bringing up the rear. Loving the updates of your precious newborns.

Looks like it's an August baby for me, too! 40+3 and nothing yet. Trying not to be anxious and just sit back and enjoy some guilt-free cake Grin

smallgreenbanana · 31/07/2015 23:06

Morning all! Another baby who missed the July memo! 41+2, nothing yet despite me doing everything I can! Just a waiting game now...

MrsFbabyNo1 · 01/08/2015 10:22

BIG congrats muddy, hope all went reasonably well but having your little one to snuggle now is the best thing ever isn't it! Enjoy and join us on the post natal group when you can.

Well ladies, your August babies are still very much welcome in the July club. I'm still v excited to here all your news when things are happening for you, so can't stop checking on you all! Grin

Clstow · 01/08/2015 18:30

Huge congrats Muddy - hope you are both doing ok, fab that he made it in time for July Smile

Another August baby here... 41 weeks today and at MW yesterday they wouldn't sweep me as my bump hasn't grown so we're off for a growth scan tomorrow. If all is well induction will be Wednesday. Would much rather he came of his own accord but ultimately as long as he's ok that's all that matters.

Thanks again for checking in with us ladies, wonder how long we'll be using this antenatal club... Can't wait to join you guys in post!

LaLaLaaaa · 02/08/2015 03:32

Hi all! Sorry for going awol and congratulations to everyone who has had their babies now!

To those still to pop - good luck!!!

My DS Benjamin was born on Tuesday 28th July at 42 weeks by EMCS. He was 9lb 10 so pretty large!

I was induced on the Sunday after 5 failed sweeps, 2 sessions of acupuncture and about as many curries, shags, pineapples and RLTs as you can cram into the last 3 weeks .
After pessary went in I went into hyper contraction, contracting 7 in 10 mins. They waited 9 hours then removed it, only for me to still be at 2cm and contractions all but stopped.

Stayed in hospital and waters were broken Monday morning and drip induction started. I got right to 10xm dilated and pushed for a while but unfortunately he wasn't coming out fast enough so I had attempted forceps/ventouse delivery followed by EMCS.

We left hospital yesterday after 3 days with him on triple light box treatment for jaundice as result of the forceps. He's still a bit yellow but recovered.

He's the most beautiful thing in the world and I can't believe we made him.

MuddyWellyNelly · 02/08/2015 04:35

Oh Lala that's a tough birth but sounds like you are besotted Smile. Welcome to the world Benjamin.

We called our guy Alexander. Like you we are astounded how we created such a perfect being. We are still in hospital. He was born 48 hours ago by crash section (GA so very quick at the end!) but amazingly is doing brilliantly. Struggling a bit with feeding just getting him settled on the boob in the first place. His latch and technique are brilliant but I'm struggling with my positioning and just luring him on at first. But once he's on he's on and goes for a great guzzle. Oh I adore him Grin but am very tired and need to get home with only one baby disturbing my sleep not 4! Plus Daddy misses us.

SparklyPenguin · 02/08/2015 10:03

Congratulations La, great that your baby boy is finally with you, sorry the birth wasn't easy! Hope you're recovering well Flowers

Sherbet38 · 02/08/2015 18:50

Congratulations lala! What an eventful birth, sounds like you went through almost every option! All worth it now you have your baby Smile

Clstow · 02/08/2015 19:04

Congrats Lala, what a story, glad you are both ok.

Think I'll probably be heading down the induction route too... After this afternoon's scan showed no issues I was given a sweep, but the MW wasn't too optimistic about it working. Am getting soo bored of waiting now - feel like I've run out of ways to distract myself. Any suggestions?

LaLaLaaaa · 02/08/2015 19:13

The most important thing to take from my story is that we are both fine and I have a happy healthy baby who just wasn't ready to come yet, hence induction. I don't want anyone to be worried by my story. He's perfect and already feeding well and thriving.

Good luck anyone who hasn't had theirs yet.!

Distractions - walking! Oh my god I must've walked miles in the last week! That and box sets

charlieis30 · 03/08/2015 08:21

41+4, now mentally preparing for an induction, already booked for Thurs. Sweep no2 yesterday was very unpleasant so I've decided to skip no3 which is booked for tomorrow and just let my body either do it naturally or induce. Getting everything ready for induction, movies on tablet, kindle charged and stocked with light reading, trashy mags. spare clothes, deodorant and toothbrush for DH. Plus everything that's already in my bag. Anything I've forgotten?

Also thanks lala for the positivity, induction can feel like a failure option at times so it's nice to hear that it all worked out in the end!

LaLaLaaaa · 03/08/2015 19:39

Good luck Charlie! Take lots to do - cards, tablet, books. We didn't and were sitting twiddling thumbs for hours waiting for me to dilate.

Also lots of comfy tops and pj bottoms/nighties just in case you stay in hospital for a while.

Clstow · 03/08/2015 21:20

I'm the same in terms of preparing for induction now... All booked in for 10am Wed. Best of luck Charlie - so exciting that we'll both have our babies by the end of the week Grin
