Congratulations Muddy and Lala!!! These babies certainly are making some dramatic entrances. Wishing you both a speedy recovery. Just enjoy those newborn snuggles.

Hang in there Clstow and Charlie. This waiting malarkey is so wearing and the thought of induction is disheartening, but I think this time next week we will all be sat here with babies.

Midwife is supposed to be coming tomorrow morning to give me a sweep. Never had one before. I've finally had a show today, though, so not sure if she will still do it? Kind of hoping things will kick off overnight anyway now as I'm getting more and more niggly pains, but will have to wait and see. I'm not in labour yet!

40+6

Clstow · 04/08/2015 08:43

Did things get going for you Raines?

Off for a sweep this afternoon... This time tomorrow I'll be getting ready to go in for induction. Shock

Hello Ladies x,

Congratulations to muddy, lala and other fab ladies, trust you are enjoying your new born cuddles.

All the best clstow and charlie looking forward to your wonderful arrivals.

Kisses and hugs to the ladies who wished me well re bladdergate Grin

Baby Dara and I are doing great, getting to know each other, or more like me getting to know him Smile. He has rashes all over his face more on his cheeks, waiting for health visitor tomorrow for what might be the cause.

Finally got his push chair delivered today, which means a lot more walks and outing as putting him on sling sometimes wears me out.

We had a family day out on Sunday to cheer the ride London riders, good fun, and he slept all through. Nice for OH and I, as things are not great between us at the moment. Hopefully will sort itself out with time. We are both overwhelmed by the change, he more than me.Sad

Breast feeding is going great, I breast feed more now and only express for night time feeds. He tends to drag it all from one breaat on a feed.

Hope everyone is doing ok and settling well. Look forward to hearing more baby news xxx

Congratulations to all new mummies and welcome babies! Teddy is 5 weeks and 1 day today! Not sure how that is possible! He still is not interested in attempting to latch on so am expressing and topping up with SMA. I probably manage to get 3 -4 feeds of breast milk a day which I am ok with. Not too sure how long I can keep up the pumping or when the supply will drop but am not going to obsess over it! He is a bit windy but generally is a content, if hungry gorgeous pink squishy lump!
Good luck to all those yet to meet their little bundles. X x

Hi ladies,

Good luck to Clstow and Charlie for your inductions. Can't wait to hear your news.

My show and niggly pains turned into labour at 1am Tues morning. Went off to hospital at 5am, and baby Elena arrived at 7:50am. 2nd stage was a bit hairy. My last baby was born in 2 pushes. This time, after 15 mins of pushing for dear life, there was still no sign of baby. I begged the midwife to check I was fully dilated as knew she was stuck, and she reluctantly agreed. Turned out I was only 7cms. Tried to breathe through next contraction but couldn't stop pushing. Still nothing so begged her to break my waters. She didn't want to but I felt like I was going to explode or pass out so begged again. Was immediately 8cms after ARM and she said I could probably push through the last 2cms as cervix so stretchy. Baby born 3 mins later with cord twice around her neck and once around her body. She's absolutely fine, though, beautiful and bright as a little button! Discharged 4 hours after delivery and we are all besotted! Smile

Clstow · 05/08/2015 22:30

Wow congratulations Raines - sounds like you definitely knew your own body, glad all is good.

Good to hear from you Joy and Nurse, hopefully see you on the post thread soon.

I've spent most of the day in hospital - pessary went went in at lunch but now I'm at home not really feeling anything so looks like I'll be back in and on the drip tomorrow. Feeling fed up, just want to be out the other side with my little guy now.

charlieis30 · 06/08/2015 06:12

Morning team! Just the stragglers left, hey?

Congrats raines, glad all's well after your delivery.

Hope all's well with you clstow

I'm off for induction this morning, a bit nervous as 1st baby but feeling good and ready for anything thrown at me over the next couple of days. Am trying to assume it will take some time so anything shorter will be a blessing! Disappointed I can't now use the birth centre but either way I'll be meeting my LO in the next couple of days! Exciting!

Thepurplegiraffe · 06/08/2015 09:02

Congratulations Raines, bit scary with the cord but great that everything is ok.
Good luck Clstow and Charlie, not long now, looking forward to hearing your good news!
Everything is mostly going ok here. Jessica is now 4 weeks old and is still very unsettled but we now have ranitidine to try so I am keeping my fingers crossed that we will have a happier baby soon!

smallgreenbanana · 06/08/2015 09:32

BabyCharlie was born safely yesterday morning. Every single element of my birth plan went out the window but it was still awesome and we are back home already. Feeling a skittle bit tired and like I've been in a boxing ring but very happy!

smallgreenbanana · 08/08/2015 20:30

Congratulations charlie! Enjoy your little one. And join us in the post thread!

Clstow · 08/08/2015 22:08
