Thanks Treacle.

Scan today was AOK, small#2 will be a boy!

lastnightiwenttomanderley · 29/04/2015 19:55

Oh god elio how awful for her, that was my nightmare (especially as a close friend is 8 weeks ahead). How are you feeling about it? Must be hard when you want to provide comfort and support but feel like you can't

Choccy I have a lot of movement at 19+2. Have been feeling it since about 16/17. Genuinely a little worried that tadpole is trying to break out in alien style...

DeladionInch · 29/04/2015 20:17

Mine likes spicy fajitas and fudge, apparently Hmm

elio · 29/04/2015 20:56

Lastnight Just feel really sad at how rubbish it is. This was my worst nightmare too. I am one of the only people that she's told, but am now looking quite pregnant and probably not the best person to be around. Its just really sad. Pointed her in the direction on MN forums as they really helped me when we had bad test results.

bonzo77 · 29/04/2015 21:31

Thanks for the new thread.

elio that's so sad. I've been there, no baby at a 12 week scan. Such a cruel trick.

Major run in with my GP about getting gaviscon of all things. Long and boring story really, but I Totally lost it and have registered elsewhere. We'd been at the practice for years, and always had big problems with the admin and appointment availability. But the actual doctor was such a sanctimonious, dismissive, ignorant cow that I left.

On more cheerful note, babyBonzo is very active, we should be exchanging contracts for our house move next week, and H&M had the maternity t-shirts that I want in stock.

HaveTeaWillSurvive · 30/04/2015 06:43

Elio hope you're ok, I've recently had similar news from a friend at 20 week scan which has really affected me - I hope nobody minds me mentioning - in my head I know it has no bearing on my pregnancy but has reminded me that sometimes the world is a tough place to be in Sad. I'm also really conscious of not mentioning anything related to my pregnancy, hiding my bump etc although I'm sure she wouldn't want me to feel like this. Our scan is tomorrow so I'm just counting the hours dine to get through it.

amusville · 30/04/2015 07:08

Place marking again. Had my 20 week scan, was do sure they would say boy but I was wrong and we are expecting a girl. Some amazing pics I just can't believe the size she is now!

Snowflake15 · 30/04/2015 08:05

elio I'm so sorry to hear thatFlowers hope your friend will be ok and you. I'd maybe send some flowers with a note saying you're there for her?

Congrats to everyone with lovely scans! Seems to be lots of boys? We're team blue (early sex scan at 16w). 20 week scan next week and getting nervous that something's wrong, as not felt any movement and not really feeling pg except a small bump and huge appetiteBlush

Got my work appraisal today, fingers crossed for a bonus, then I'm off next tue and wed (when we have scan) so thinking of telling them next Friday, as long as everything's ok. Can't wait it's getting harder to hide - on Monday a colleague poked my belly and said 'you look preggers!'Shock imagine if I wasn't!

ovumahead · 30/04/2015 08:09

Just checking in on the new thread! All well here... Movements starting to get a bit more regular which is soooooooooo lovely! Have to do a presentation / workshop today at work which I'm dreading ... Why do I offer to do these things?!

elio · 30/04/2015 08:18

Good luck with your scan havetea. It seems to be much more common than is widely talked about, though thankfully odds improve as things progress. I think I'll send her something, I'm due to see her in a couple of weeks, but she is 2 1/2 hours away. She was already nervous, her dh's sister lost a baby at 8 months as it managed to wrap the cord around its neck in utero.. :-( stuff of nightmares, but absolutely nothing that you can do about it. Staying positive the best I can and have bought our Moses basket today. The exact same thing happened to another of my friends and she now has a beautiful 4 month old daughter.

Treaclepie19 · 30/04/2015 09:43

I feel the same snowflake, small bump, no movement (I don't think) and so worried!
I'm sure my bump has shrunk if anything.

Just keep thinking all was fine at our private scan 2 weeks ago so hopefully he's still ok.
2 more weeks til my anomaly scan.

Choccyhobnob · 30/04/2015 10:54

Think our scans are on the same day treacle 11th? We had a private scan 2 weeks ago too and I can't imagine that after the next one we won't be seeing him again until he gets here! Or do they do other scans later on? Can't remember!

Treaclepie19 · 30/04/2015 10:59

Yeah choccy same day :)
I know! My sister was talking about buying us a 4d scan so that'd be good.

duckbilled · 30/04/2015 10:59

Hi all, sorry for the long absence. Had a lot going on with work and just feeling rubbish. To top it all of, looks like I probably contracted slap cheek a few weeks ago, so was at the docs for another round of bloods yesterday.
On a more positive note, I have my scan a week on Monday at 21 weeks, so looking forward to seeing the little one. I am strongly feeling I will be team pink again Smile.
Hope you are all well and I will try to catch up on everyone's news over the next few days!

Choccyhobnob · 30/04/2015 13:15

Another scan for the 11th duckbilled!

Fluffin · 30/04/2015 18:17

And another here for the 11th! We haven't had any other scans apart from the 12w one, so am so impatient for next week to roll around!

DoreenWinkings · 30/04/2015 18:52

Hi all Grin

Just checking in to confirm that you can PM me if you would like to be added to the FB Group.

The group is secret and anything you say on there will not show up on your personal FB, wall or otherwise Smile

In other news for me I have no news! Scan is next week (tuesday) I will be 21 weeks and hope to find out what we're having. DD is desperate to know and swinging wildly between wanting a sister and a brother.

My little sister is pregnant too - due in Dec so that's very exciting.

And I bought nugget some tights... with skulls on. MIL will be Angry I may not have forgiven her for fucking up toilet training DD

Mrseb28 · 30/04/2015 20:50

Elio awful news :-( still try and comfort her I know you will feel awkward. That's my worry with DS I didn't tell anyone til I was 20w and this time I told everyone at 12w regretting it now and have the major nerves about the anomaly scan. I think it's natural to have those nerves but when you have had friends that have lost theirs or had major probs at 20w it really drills it home to you.
Trying to stay positive though! On good news DH is home for the scan so at least I won't be alone Smile
Two weeks to go!
Doreen I've PM u
Thanks for the luck treacle I had work meeting it went ok I am aiming to go back in two weeks time and see how it goes! Are you a little sad to be off now until maternity? Is it rude of me to ask the reason? Sorry I didn't get to read all previous threads. I am starting to feel a bit list and down with no one to speak to. So think it will do me good to go back if I can.
Hospital physio next week. Can't wait! X

monkeymoonpig · 30/04/2015 21:23

Checking in - dont think this is updating properly :(

banterbus · 30/04/2015 21:28

Hi all, lovely to see some of the 20 week scans. Mine is next Fri and I've been feeling very worried too but have started to feel (i think) tiny movements so that's reassuring. 19+1 today.

Treaclepie19 · 30/04/2015 22:34

That's good, glad you're happy to be going back Mrseb :)

It's a long story but basically I struggled with stress (linked to worry about the miscarriage I had last year) and work didn't support me. They just kept adding more to my list and changed my role.
The doctor signed me off for 3 months in the hope it would be sorted in that time but it wasn't. Now its been too long for me to go back and they're still not supportive and still there will be a lot of stress to go back to.
I think it's best for me and baby that I don't go back now.

It is a bit sad but I can't think like that because I know I'd have ended up making myself feel really ill.

Anyway! I get a long time to get things ready for our little boy :)

Mrseb28 · 01/05/2015 09:15

treacle sorry to hear that Hun. It's awful when you can't see the wood for the trees and yes you are right it is in yours and your baby's best interests to stay at home if they cannot protect you like they should. Like you say you have plenty of time to prepare for baby coming Smile lots of shopping for you Wink
I need to get back with DH away. I get so bored! Think it will give me some focus other than being in pain. Just going to go in and if I can't cope I'll just have to be off again Smile
banterbus aww is it like bubbles? I think that's what mine is... You think I would remember from last pregnancy but I don't!

Does anyone else feel like their baby is so low down still? I would have thought it would have moved up by now ? X

Treaclepie19 · 01/05/2015 09:18

Yeah :)
My baby is low down, we had a scan at 17 weeks and he was right down low.

OP posts:
Mrseb28 · 01/05/2015 09:26

Glad it's not just me then I feel it's so low I'm walking with a waddle already Blush

Cornberry · 01/05/2015 10:26

When I had my scan I couldn't believe the area the baby covered - head just above my belly button and feet just a few inches from the way out! Baby wasn't measuring especially big. I keep looking at my belly and wondering where all my organs are - how does it fit?!? Have had a proper waddle for weeks now. I'm huge! Can't imagine continuing to grow for another 18 weeks...
