Oh that's great, congratulations!

bonzo77 · 27/08/2015 13:38

Lovely to hear from you ditzzy. Glad that you are on the mend and that DDs bowels seem to be in full working order!!

bonzo77 · 28/08/2015 14:46

This thread has gone a bit quiet . Is everyone on FB?

Had a second episode of reduced movements last night and have now been given both doses of steroids and my cs moved to Tuedsday. Eek! Bit sad that I'll almost certainly miss DS2's first day at nursery, but at least DH will be there for him.

Treaclepie19 · 28/08/2015 15:14

There are lots on fb bonzo.

Eek not long for you now! How exciting :)

Is everyone having more discharge? I keep thinking it's bits of plug as its a greenish colour. Not an infection I don't think as I wasn't tested long ago.

very excited. DH is panicking, but he did this last time too. Have ordered last bits for my hospital bag. Bit concerned that neither bathrooms nor kitchen will be finished by the time I am discharged, and the house will be very dusty. Torn between enhanced discharge if offered (wednesday some time as am having CS in afternoon) and trying to stay in a bit to avoid the dust. Will be more peaceful at home and older two will be at school / nursery. Definitely going to arrange industrial cleaners asap after all finished.

Yeah, bit of discharge here. But I also weed myself really badly today: inhaled some dust, and have a chest infection anyway. Coughed until I puked and then weed so much at the same time that it went through my track suit bottoms. Lovely. And then couldn't really be arsed to take my shoes off to change, so cut my knickers off Hmm. But the damp track suit bottoms made me itch so I slapped on some out of date and runny Vagisil. SO have been rather wet and grim. Eventually I got DS1 to remove my shoes and I sorted myself out. Classy and dignified.

Oh no bonzo :(
This late pregnancy lark isn't very glamorous is it?
Classed as full term today! So glad to get to this milestone. Just need baby now then once he's here and safe we can work out if my health problems are due to limbs attacking me or something else!

15 babies born so far!

puddleduck27 · 31/08/2015 22:38

Thanks have done. My section is booked for a week tomorrow if he doesn't make an appearance before Grin

ShootTheMoon · 01/09/2015 09:10

How are you all doing? We're actually in September!

I'm back to frequent BHs with occasional cramps. Every few minutes since yesterday evening! Lots of movements from the baby so I'm assuming it's irritable uterus or something. 37+5 today and very happy for baby to arrive any time!

misssmilla1 · 01/09/2015 18:09

On the countdown, finally! Finishing up at work this week and it can't come soon enough; felt grim for the last couple of days and getting regular what I think are BH's.

Baby is still very active but feeling every kick / punch as a result, especially as he's still breech!

Ambientolf · 01/09/2015 22:33

i can't believe it's September already. I'm due 10th (although I haven't had any niggles so I'll probably go over!). I could have my baby next week Shock
Love being off work though. I'm not due back until October 2016 - I know I'm very lucky - and it's such a nice thought! Although I'm sure looking after a baby is full time work in itself.
Can't wait!!

ImpatiencePersonified · 02/09/2015 09:45

How the bloody hell have I missed this thread?
36 +4 here and due on the 26th Sept.... well if my stupid blood pressure behaves and they dont have to induce me early that is!

Finished work last Friday... its the best thing ever.
Have asked for the Facebook link so hopefully see you all on t'other side

ShootTheMoon · 02/09/2015 13:55

Welcome impatience!

Well... 37+6 here and my waters went a couple of hours ago. Massive shock as DD was born at 41weeks. I was in the garden (thankfully) and ended up soaked to my knees. No cx or anything yet but I called DH home from work just as he was about to be unreachable for 6 hours! He's now emergency cleaning (house was not at its best!) and I think I will have a nap.

I guess I need to inform my MW at some stage even if cx don't start?

GoooRooo · 02/09/2015 14:01

Yes, call the midwife Shoot. They will likely ask you to go in to be checked at some point. Presumably the waters are clear? If they are dark at all you need to be seen sooner rather than later as the baby might have pooed.

My waters went at 37+1 last time. No contractions. About 24 hours later I was induced.

ShootTheMoon · 02/09/2015 15:01

Thanks GooRoo. My BP has shot up to 138/107 so plans for my lovely MW led birth are off and I'm going in for monitoring. Pretty gutted.

GoooRooo · 02/09/2015 15:27

Oh no :( If it's any consolation I gave birth in a delivery suite rather than a MLU last time (and will this time too) and it was fine - I couldn't fault the care. Best of luck!

ShootTheMoon · 02/09/2015 16:12

Thank you Smile. I transferred from MLU to delivery last time and my care for the birth was great, but it was the 5 days afterwards on a ward that I found difficult. But I'll just have to see how it goes - I'm at 153/95 at the moment which isn't right (120/62 last week), so the important thing is to get my BP down and get this labour started! The baby is moving lots though so hopefully he's doing ok.

ShootTheMoon · 03/09/2015 02:02

Well! My son arrived at 11.30 after a couple of pushes! I was on the ward for a grand total of 45 mins before they realised I was in established labour and rushed me back to delivery while I was trying not to push. Doing ok and BP is high end of normal. The little one has had a couple of feeds and is sleeping peacefully now :)

ditzzy · 03/09/2015 18:50

Woohoo! Congratulations Shoot!!

BeautyBoo · 03/09/2015 19:46

Congratulations Shoot! Hope you've had a lovely day full of cuddles!

ShootTheMoon · 03/09/2015 20:54

Thank you Smile

My BP has been all over the place so this afternoon I left hospital (against advice, but with a monitoring plan) and we're now home. The little one is feeding well, very sleepy but super cute!

The after pains are a bitch though Shock

Ambientolf · 03/09/2015 22:33

Congratulations Flowers

FluffyNut · 05/09/2015 16:22

Hi, due sept 8th here. Massive congrats to the ladies who have delivered. I am trying to be as patient as possible, but with no hint of aches, pains, goo, etc, I think she's going to hang around. Today is the first day it's made me feel emotional, like waiting in limbo. I've had to go through a lot of waiting to get our little girl as she was through ivf, but today I feel pretty useless!
Ah well, I'll snap out of it, maybe make some cookies or something!
I have a sweep booked for Tuesday so perhaps that will get things going.

ShootTheMoon · 05/09/2015 18:50

Good luck fluffynut! If it's any consolation at all, I have never had early signs of labour, with either DC, except Braxton Hicks but I have those for months! With me it all happens on the day.

Hope it's not too long before you get to meet your little one :)
