Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 23rd grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 40th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

The stats sheet is here

So, roll call below please, viroids!

I think the thing that makes me laugh the most about that list La is the random bottle of red! Is that in case she fancies a change? Wink

I think pooping in the pool is probably the least of your worries Lemon - it's a veritable soup by the end I hear Hmm I pooped on the floor. Next time I hope to poop in a pool! Smile

Any sign pis ??? let me know when that gets annoying Grin

LaLaLaaaa · 14/03/2015 20:57

Yes - it can be amusing but sometimes it can go the other way! She got drunk one time and started telling me I don't look after my cats properly. Grr...I wasn't happy. I'm just going to remind her when she gets here that I'll not be drinking and perhaps she will curb it a bit when she realises it'll just be her!

popz she likes to drink white then red for some reason! The vodka is for earlier in the evening. God I'm making her sound like a lush! I think it's because when she lives at home she doesn't really drink so when she comees here it's like she's on holiday and she cuts loose!

Just booked a photo session for when the baby is born :D I wanted to have photos taken of me being pregnant and then do some when the baby was born, but we can't afford both and obviously I'd rather have some of the baby! I might ask my photographer friend to take a few pics of me with bump, as I'm terrible at it.

dulcet I think I would feel a bit :( about that as well. I know your mil is just being kind and an excited grandma to be, but I wish we could tell them all that it would just be nice if people ASKED us what they could do for us, or what we would like them to buy! My mum has been great - she's going to buy us the snuzpod and just phoned to remind me that I need to give her the details as they have a waiting list.

I do know how you feel about wanting to buy your own stuff. I've been given a heap of stuff from friends. Some is lovely, but there's a lot of vaguely baby puke smelling stuff, some with little stains on and some just doesn't feel very soft. So me and dh went through it all and handed back the stuff we didn't want, saying we don't have enough space to keep it all!

Savings account is a great idea! and isn't it quite a tradition for grandparents to do that?

I'm quite short of breath a lot at the moment and feeling a bit dizzy. Got midwife on Tues. Going to ask her to check my iron levels as I've not been eating very well recently and I do wonder if I'm a bit anaemic. I need to get the kale out again!

Has anyone else got randomly really cold extremities!? My fingers and nose are like ice!

OP posts:
TheBooMonster · 14/03/2015 21:10

we had curry this evening! It was lurvely, even if it was cold by the time I finished it because it kept giving the baby hiccups! baby is bursting out of my fanjo, she can't possibly get any lower can she, feels like the hiccups are outside my fanjo!!

Went into the city today with DD to get some vouchers for DF's birthday. MiL had suggested we get DD a doll, and I was confused by all the options so I took DD into a local store to pick one herself, so we are now the proud owners of an interactive baby annabel... of course we got home to find PiL were on their way over, MiL complained that it was too big, too expensive and too heavy, and had us turn off the noises within a few minutes of DD showing it to her angry how was I supposed to know when she said doll she meant something closer to a Barbie size thing?!

MiL's are funny folk... mine is a legend when we agree on things, but it's like world war three if I or DH disagree...

willywallace · 14/03/2015 21:24

God how weird Boo. People get such fixed ideas in their heads.

LaLaLaaaa · 14/03/2015 21:30

That's bizarre boo! Perhaps you should ask her to provide specifications next time Grin

Just had a look at the ikea nursing chair, it looks good! Anyone got it? I had my eye on a reclining one but I don't think it'd fit in the nursery

OP posts:
Purpleball · 14/03/2015 21:48

The Poang La? The lady who waxes my legs has it in her salon. I asked her about it and everyone who sits in it loves it. It's loads cheaper than the ones in M&P and mothercare. There's a rocking version and a footstool too

RPopz · 14/03/2015 22:06

We've got the poang. Its lush.

willywallace · 14/03/2015 22:08

My friend has it (with a really expensive cover) and it's great.

Purpleball · 14/03/2015 22:10

I'm going to get one for the nursery too Smile

Just discovered that Argos sells mamas and papas stuff and they've a sale on loads of it. Half price nursery furniture sets £799 down to £399

LaLaLaaaa · 14/03/2015 22:21

Yup that one! Deal done!

OP posts:
teejayem · 14/03/2015 22:49

Ugh dulce- I genuinely, genuinely know how you feel, it is horrid. She has bought us so much STUFF, lots of which we won't or don't plan to use and won't even so much as look at the wish list we put together, instead choosing to criticise the things on there. Mr Tee just said to ignore it and let her waste her money, but I want to buy things for my baby that I like, not just accept stuff she wants to see him in. Its my first baby and I wanted to be the one to buy first nappies, toiletries and things and I really felt robbed of that when she went out and did it. (hence nappy meltdown a few weeks ago!). She Even bought a specific going home outfit after I mentiond Mr Tee and I had one in mind and it's totally the opposite! I've got a wardrobe full of slogan sleep suits in powder blue which I specifically said I didn't like, so now I've started to keep all the bags, keep everything unwashed with the tags still on and any receipts that I can get my hands on so I can either try and exchange or resell as new. I've given up trying to reason with her!

I don't think I'm going to be allowed in the pool as am consultant led and thus no MLU for me :( - labour ward doesn't have pools, But does have all en suite rooms, and a Marks and Sparks and Costa coffee downstairs so I can keep sending DP for Percy pigs and iced coffees. I would be okay in knowing I wqs pooing if I was confident of no arse rain, and solid matter only. As it stands it's a bit of a poo lottery with my funky digestion.

Fuck me la! That's quite a rider you've got to prepare not jealous at all, no no

Lemondrizzletwunt · 14/03/2015 22:55

ROFL

Lemondrizzletwunt · 14/03/2015 23:01

Aww Tee, that would piss me right off, I'm guess it must feel like someone is deliberately out to spite you. I am quite petty when it comes to shit like that and would take great pleasure selling them all on eBay for a pittance so her money is well and truly wasted, if she's so set on being a twat.

No, probably no water birth for you, but I've heard a tens does exactly the same thing, and I guess you can have that? A friend said getting her DP to use the shower head on her back really helped, too. If you don't mind me asking, how come you are consultant led?

DulcetMoans · 14/03/2015 23:11

Yeah tee, it's sounds pretty similar. It's just so tough to manage diplomatically! I want her to be involved and excited but on my terms a bit more. I always wonder if it's one of those things I feel is harder as I don't have a mum so not used to that relationship. I'm in dependant and find it all too much. Does your DH say much to her when things happen?

Notice the OP didn't come back to that thread lemon. What would have made someone think that?!

Why can't DD have the doll she wants boo? MIL doesn't have to live with the noise anyway.

I get cold extremities la but always have. I have poor circulation and low blood pressure so stupid body doesn't even try to help itself!

Hadn't thought of the pool ending up like human waste product soup popz! Shock Sounds much less peaceful like that!

teejayem · 14/03/2015 23:45

He doesn't say an awful lot, dulce he has asked her to stop spending money tho, and made it clear we were planning to breastfeed when she bought all the ff stuff and told me I'd probably need it Hmm I've said to him it makes me feel really uncomfortable and he always says she's only trying to help and that she's just really excited. Blah!!! And then I feel horrid and guilty and an ungrateful shit. My mum has told me she feels guilty because she hasn't bought much and has been quite hands off, which is exactly how I wanted it, but I'm pissed off she's upset her too.
Course you can ask lemon very short version, it's because of my back , I had an accident a few years ago and ruptured one disc and slipped another, it transpired that I actually have a slip in the vertebrae too so my spine doesn't sit quite right, so I'm predisposed to sciatica and other delights. It's also trashed my sacroiliac joint which is why I'm having such a mare with my back and the SPD is the bloody cherry on top. Fun... ! I'm not quite sure how it'll all stand up in labour so I'm being assessed for pain relief/Epidural candidacy etc in a couple of weeks so there is a plan in case it all goes pear shaped.
I'm not a fan of TENS, it made me feel like I had insects crawling all over me, but hot water jets and baths are awesome!

lildottie · 15/03/2015 00:20

hi all. you fell out of my active threads not helpful for stalking mn!!

tee I don't think you can reasonably tell them they have to stop smoking in their own house. but you can refuse to go there instead because of the smoke. you'd have to offer they cone to you instead though. I'm not saying I don't agree with you, just if someone told me I couldn't do something in my own house I tell them to fuck off! Shock

dulcet sorry you're having mil issues too. and hoover issues!

la omg that list! yikes! made me lol that caffeine is a no no! yay for minila moving lots now, must be fab!

hi to everyone else too

willywallace · 15/03/2015 03:44

Yey Lil good to hear from you.

I'm being tag-teamed. Been up longer than I've been in bed.

TheBooMonster · 15/03/2015 03:56

Well the doll is already out of the box so it's not like I can take the doll back, she's just going to have to lump it or go on about it until DD is old enough to tell her to piss off because she loved the doll

Blimey, have to admit, some of your MiL's definitely put my woes into perspective!!

Am very awake. Hips hurt. Had a dream about people living in a bunker under a field of scary cows suspect I have been watching too much The 100 and now I'm on the look out for errant cows and horny spacemen...

willywallace · 15/03/2015 04:16

Ooh let me know if you find any horny spacemen!

Would it be frowned upon to start drinking wine right now?

TheBooMonster · 15/03/2015 04:43

Yet to find any wil but established that part of what was keeping me awake was DH's lethal post-curry farts, I have had to retreat to the lounge! It's after 5pm somewhere, I say break out the wine!

batfish · 15/03/2015 04:45

Happy Mothers Day viroids!

DulcetMoans · 15/03/2015 05:30

Yeah, we won't tell wil. Crack on! Your times are gonna be all skewed if you've been up that late - you've got baby-lag!

I'm falling out of love with The 100 boo and we are one behind but will watch out for killer cows!

Hey lil, how's it going? TTC thread fell off mine when you moved. Was reading but haven't posted as feel a bit out of place and don't know anyone!

I don't think MIL would do the ff thing to me tee, that is just very unreasonable, but who knows what's in 'the box'?! I will kick off if it's anything like that. I'm sure it is tough for the DHs as they are in the middle of it all but they do need to be the ones to take a stand sometimes and be firm. I think DH would but will prefer not to have the friction.

So yeah, I woke up. Now what?! Too early, dark and quiet for most things...

willywallace · 15/03/2015 06:22

Except wine Dulcet. Join me Wine .
Only joking, I'm not really on it only because I couldn't be bothered to go downstairs.

Why is she up again?

Oh we can play a game of What's in the Box. Remind me before I start if you know the sex of the baby Dulcet?

TheBooMonster · 15/03/2015 06:44

dulcet I'm also Beijing, saw last weeks episode with the bear though so perhaps that's it? Ended up going back to sleep and having the most stressful dream about trying to find a toilet in a department store on Xmas eve. And no one knew how to queue. Ended up using a urinal that was more resembling of a flowerpot on a drain pipe. Of course once I'd done that all the women's loos were free!

Despite sleeping downstairs DD woke me up before she'd had any effect on me, so I ended up getting up with her! Just as well I went up, baby anabell was about to be fed juice!
