Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 23rd grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 40th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

The stats sheet is here

So, roll call below please, viroids!

I don't know wil, at the moment it's just a baby! Hopefully she's kept to that at least and not decided it's one or the other.

You have some imagination that boo! But a department store where people can't queue?! That's a nightmare right there!

I went downstairs for a bit but forgot phone. Had a little nap and now up again. Better go see what the cats want!

DulcetMoans · 15/03/2015 07:58

Oh and you are welcome to a game of 'what's in dulcets box?' Wink I've not looked for weeks! (Fanny joke, in case I wasn't clear!)

LaLaLaaaa · 15/03/2015 08:33

If I were to play what's in La's box I'm pretty certain cobwebs would be on the list! I did manage a shag last weekend but we've done 2 in 23 weeks. Feel bit bad for Mr La!

Happy Mother's Day! I don't really do Mother's Day but I send a card. Do you think there's any chance my bump will have bought me chocolate?

dulcet here's my guess:
Pack of body suits
Sleep suits
Some sort of outfit with 'I love granny' on it
Cute things that look nice but are completely impractical
Some kind of 'baby's first' just to rub it in - swimsuit, wellies

wil get drinking. It's Mother's Day!

Hi lil we miss you!

I've seen first two of The 100. It seems a bit dense. Should I persevere? We are watching Better Call Saul, The Good Wife and Suits

Hi, was busy stalking you browsing recent threads and thought I'd weigh in Re: bank accounts. DM saw an article that suggests putting £10 PW in to a bank account for DGC. By the time they turn 18 they'll have £10,000 for a relatively small, regular amount. DM suggested that she could easily spend that on a few coffees so was happy to do so for my DNs. I benefitted from a lump sum on turning 18 (house deposit) so if you have amenable GPs, suggest it.

Right, I'm off. I'm going to have soft boiled eggs for breakfast whilst I can though they sometimes give me are rain, its worth it

LaLaLaaaa · 15/03/2015 08:45

A lot of AIBU posts being disappointed on Mother's Day. Dhs not doing enough, not getting the right card, getting card but no flowers.

Hallmark you've a lot to answer for!

Ha ha ha like this!

DulcetMoans · 15/03/2015 08:54

I just read one if those la. Kids made her cards and breakfast and bought it to her in bed but she was disappointed because there was sugar in the tea and the pancakes were mushy and there was no flower. I do consider that unreasonable!

DH said to me yesterday that, just to be clear of expectations, did I want him to get stuff from the baby for special occasions like Mother's Day. I said a lay-in will do until it can make it's own stuff! We don't do cards anyway unless we make them so no point starting that.

We only managed once in 23 weeks too la so hopefully that cake make you feel a bit better. DH seems ok with it though...

Great advice on the bank account honey, will see if I can bring it up. I think my grandparents did it for me too when I was younger. And a nice dippy egg would be lovely right now!

LaLaLaaaa · 15/03/2015 09:02

Ooh honey that's a great idea!

Megalolz at flower woman!

Hiya Lil - how's things?

willywallace · 15/03/2015 09:42

That's brilliant La!

I got two bunches of flowers, 2 bags of crisps (because I can't have chocolate) and 2 cards with lovely messages and a sleepless night so I am very happy. My baby is obviously trying hard to say 'Happy Mother's Day' but it's coming out as screams just now...

Fleurchamp · 15/03/2015 09:48

Great idea about the bank account.

We have put money into our nieces and nephew's accounts every Christmas and birthday because they get so much "stuff" from everyone else. We then just get them a small gift and / or take them out somewhere.

I hope it marks us out later as caring and not boring!!

I got sweet fa from DH today. Now, I don't care about a present as there is nothing I need or want but a card is another thing. We are card people. I have every card ever sent by my DH - he usually gives me a card for any occasion with a sweet message inside. Bit miffed and he apologised.

We're at his mum's though so I have let it go and just told him to remember on Father's Day that he will not be getting anything either.

I think it just shows our different attitudes atm - I feel like I am already a mum.

I love the Fred about Ribena Grin

Re DTD we have done it once this year and DH is now put off by the bump!

gaggiagirl · 15/03/2015 10:34

We had ALL of the sex yesterday. First time in almost 3 weeks. I think its hormones making me rather frisky. Hurray hormones.
I got a hand made card from DD on Friday because she couldn't wait to open the envelope and I got a box of chocolates from her Last night because again she couldn't wait to open them.

teejayem · 15/03/2015 10:59

Happy Mother's Day mummas in waiting!

Mr Tee pulled out some rather nice flowers, but if I was being cynical I'd say they were to placate me before this afternoon, (grumble grumble). Lay in went out the window as one of cats decided she wanted to dismantle the fairy lights around the top of the bed at 4.30am.

We are still (just about) managing to do the shag once a week, but usually it's weekends only. It's getting harder with a)bump in way and sometimes not laying very comfortably for penis poking, b) spine/SPD not playing ball, but we've always been enthused shaggers so I'm loathe to let it go. It gives me a total cm nightmare after tho.

my guess for dulcet's box....(trying to think of the strangest stuff Ive had given to me....)
Nip cream (nice to know your mil has your tits in mind)
Disposable pants (as above, but warzone crotch)
Disposable bibs.
Anything that refers to DH as 'bestest daddy in the world' because, you know...

batfish · 15/03/2015 11:02

Oh gaggia you're so good with the sex. I really should make more effort. Since BFP we have managed it twice which is all my fault, I just can't be arsed! Need to rectify the situation before he runs off with a stripper who doesn't eat 10 meals a day.

Fattycow · 15/03/2015 11:17

No Mother's Day here yet, so there is still time to convince DH of the fact that I should get something. Grin
Seriously though, I would be happy with a bar of chocolate.

willywallace · 15/03/2015 11:31

Ooh yes the box:

Bibs
sleepsuits
cot set (including bumpers)
Dummies
Bottles
musical mobile (not to your taste)
plate and cutlery set
some item of clothing which give away her boy/girl preference
knitted booties
baby photo frame

50% of above items will have reference to Daddy.

Can we make up bingo cards?

Pisghetti · 15/03/2015 12:04

Morning viroids! I got a lie in (10am!) and some smellies from DS and a bracelet from DP (after I pressured him into it Wink) you're right Fleur he doesn't quite get the 'we're already parents' thing. It's DS' birthday and it looks like he won't be sharing it with baby sis although I do have a little special something in my box in case it helps Blush

My guesses for Dulcet's box:
Cot bumpers
Old fashioned toiletries that aren't recommended (e.g. talc based baby powder)
Soft toys made by kindly friends with buttons that fall off and toxic stuffing
Silver plated nursery items (e.g. musical money box)

I really don't envy those of you with MIL woes. Mine lives faaaaar away but is lovely and not very well so she couldn't be interfering if she wanted to be. They gave us a lump sum at Christmas time which we put towards buying the bulk of the baby stuff. My parents asked what we wanted rather than told us what they wanted to get. I feel blessed! A friend of mine who had a boy just before Christmas gave me some girl's outfits her mum had bought just in case. This is probably her last baby (two boys) and so she had told her mum she wanted to go and pick out a couple of baby girl things just in case (knowing she could pass them on) as it would be her last chance to do so - and her mum went and did it without her. I felt really sorry for her. Mind you her mum also went out and bought a wedding dress my friend didn't like because her mum disagreed with her first choice. Luckily it didn't fit otherwise they may have fallen out BIG time about that!

teejayem · 15/03/2015 12:13

Ooh ooh! I've got another one!

80s style thick wool knitted outfit/blanket/badly sized hat (for June....) - handmade to make you feel you HAVE to use it.

DulcetMoans · 15/03/2015 12:43

Haha. Well now I'm looking forward to it. Meant to be there 10mims ago but not left yet. Decided to let DH be in charge of the time keeping (because I don't want to go!). Will report back when I know more...

Sounds like a good mothers morning for you pis, they were good boys! And yours gaggia, even if it was early! Cousin had similar with her little boy who could wait to tell her what she was getting - but he whispered it as it was a secret. Cute!! Smile

Go get yourself some choc fatty! We can rely on these men!

ChatEnOeuf · 15/03/2015 12:53

Morning! I also got a lie-in (lion, according to DD), only until 9 though, as she was just too excited. Also got a hand-painted mug - apparently it used to say thank you on it, but now it's a delightful swirl of all the colours Grin

My guesses for Dulcet's Box
Nanny's favourite cherub outfit, including hat and bib
Set of five dummies
Knitted booties, hat, cardi and blanket - all matching and in that mustard yellow we all know and love
My first Christmas babygrow
Stretch mark cream

DD has a babyISA from her grandparents, it's lovely getting the statement each year :)

Tee I love baths as well, missed out last time around - I went to hospital expecting to be sent home for a bath, and left two days later with a baby! Mercifully my consultant here approves of them in early labour, and about half of the LW rooms at my hospital have them not that I'll have time to use them. He doesn't do pool deliveries, which suits me down to the ground.

teejayem · 15/03/2015 14:53

My only fear with the bath is having to be winched out afterwards, it's bad enough now that I worry about getting stuck. You couldn't part me from my mango bath melt tho. Yum!
About to leave for mil. Will post updates....

ZylaB · 15/03/2015 15:08

waves

The box...
A bedding set with very strong colour theme which is guaranteed to clash with anything you actually like and want for nursery
'I love my granny' outfits (to be worn EVERY time she comes over
Box of formula and bottles so the little one can stay over when theyre a couple of weeks old

;)

willywallace · 15/03/2015 15:27

Hahaha love that last one zyla.

I still haven't managed to have a bath in the two months since giving birth. I was bought a large surprise glass of red wine with lunch though which is the most I have drunk since getting pregnant. Poor baby wil is now experiencing the consequences of that.

teejayem · 15/03/2015 15:41

Don't forget the promise of a second hand/-we-got-it-out-the-loft-after-20-years travel cot for those immediate sleepovers zyla Wink

willywallace · 15/03/2015 15:48

Complete with pillow, duvet and mattress from best friend Margaret's house. She used them for her grandchildren and her DIL never complained about her 40 a day habit.
