Birth clubs

Calmly and regally gestating our beans in a land of obsessive ILs, placenta horticulture, sweary doctors and naked pancake cravings. It's the JS grads thread 23!

Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 23rd grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 40th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

The stats sheet is here

So, roll call below please, viroids!

I think I'm having a tiny nest. I've just gone through two tote crates of various toiletries that we moved from the last house (uncovered some treasure too!) don't think I'll be buying any kind of moisturiser, or body lotion for the next six years, threw away two bin bags of old stuff, organised hair and face stuff into seperate little baskets, and then emptied all makeup into a bag, washed the bags they were in and I'm sitting here sharpening eyeliner pencils and wiping down worthy mascara tubes.

This is very, very unLike me. I just got the urge to organise......

I got tested for strep b at 15 weeks, I've got to book whooping cough, bcg isn't routine here. Travel system being delivered Monday and I'm putting off pricing up the beer for Mr tee's party on Saturday. I just cba with it and then simultaneously feel annoyed and terrible as its his 30th and we have had this party planned forever. It's the prospect of a houseful of people I e not seen for ages all wanting to talk 'baby' with me, and I'm getting that I-want-to-run-away-from-humans feeling. Because, you know, when you're pregnant you lose all ability to discuss anything else. Hmm

I don't mind starting the next thread, unless pis wants to as this will be her last opportunity?

I got the whooping cough, make sure to get it in the arm you don't sleep on! I didn't get offered the GBS test, they're pretty reluctant to do tests here though it seems as they also haven't tested me for GD whereas some places do it routinely...

I was so sure I'd have popped before the end of this Fred I'd better go before the end of the next one...... On the positive side, the birth sampler may get done before the birth! I'll start up a Fred now.

New Fred! Not so much as a twinge Popz so unlikely Wink I might accidentally leave my notes at home when I head to DP's tonight to see if I can invoke the good old law of sod!

Hi all, what's GBS?

Boo if it's any consolation they don't do a GTT here unless your BMI is 30 or over, or you have other risk factors such as a genetic history of GD or reg diabetes.

Good news la. Do you like presenting? I really like it but never thought I would as hated it at uni!

Yay new fred! Thank pis, on my way shortly.

Is that bathroom sorting or whole house tee? It's an impressive amount of product!

I am working online 5-7pm so come home and got my slippers on and now I just want a nap! Stuck at computer for a couple hours now though so must avoid google!

Group B Strep, Lemon. It's a bug that lots of people carry naturally with no issue, but if around your vagina at the time of delivery (or when your waters go), it can infect the baby, and that's terrifying. NHS doesn't screen routinely (though it's on the list of must-do tests if you have a miscarriage or stillbirth Hmm ), they do here and in the US.

I've got my prescription for my whooping cough jab, need to pick it up after Easter and remember to take it to my next appt.

Umm you know the rulz about finishing a Fred!

(Maybe I am nesting in a weird internet way Confused )

Or shall we leave la to that?

DH is very disappointed about the job. The best thing is, it's something he's actually interested in. I just don't think anywhere in the City gets that people aren't necessarily all about the money (he had to disclose current salary which is about £15k more than they were offering).

I have bought him some beer to drink whilst I go to yoga. It felt very wrong buying beer a) during the day and b) with a noticeable bump Blush

Thanks Pis/Boo.

Sorry to hear about the job Fleur. I hate that 'overqualified' nonsense.

Sorry to hear that about DH's job Fleur. My stepdad likes a particular supermarket own brand cider. He and my mum don't drive and this supermarket doesn't do Internet shopping yet so I pick up four x 3l bottles every couple of weeks for him. The more pregnant I have become the more I realise just how awful this looks Confused

Going to Daisy tonight in case I forget everything by the time the baby decides to show up Hmm

Sorry about the job fleur, does he have any other opportunities lined up?

Report
Lemondrizzletwunt · 18/03/2015 20:54

So sorry fleur, I forgot to say I'm sorry about the job. That's really shit. I know it's a long shot but has he tried levelling with them and explaining why he wants that job? It would prove he is in for the long haul and wouldn't be trying to get a 'better' job elsewhere in a year or so?
