my ds is 16m and will be exactly 2 when baby is born hope123 I will also have a just turned 3 year old! I very much doubt he will be at all interested in the baby thiugh! dd on the other hand loves babies, we've already told her there's a baby in mummy's tummy, and she keeps giving my belly cuddles, kisses and dummies, and trying to open my belly button! Grin

Anyone else feeling extremely rough?? my lower back is constant agony, and is radiating all the way up in my neck and shoulders. My sides and lower stomach is very sensitive and sore. I have barely any appetite and feeling slightly nautious all the time. plus extremely tired. I'm barely 4 weeks!! Never had any symptoms this early before!

mrstothemr · 18/03/2015 04:42

Hi hope, another one here who'll have a two year old when I'm due... Already starting to wonder how best to introduce it to him, they can be so sensitive. Also pondering whether we should move, and again that's a bit of a deal for ds, took a tough week last time before he settled.

Still, love the idea of him getting a little friend Smile

ninjabeer · 18/03/2015 04:56

Is anyone else becoming nocturnal? Been awake since 3 and it's starting to get dull!

mrscatmad31 · 18/03/2015 06:48

Ninja I am waking up about three times a night, it's really annoying!

Lilliana · 18/03/2015 07:26

Halestone and hope my DD will be 3 when this baby comes along.
I'm worried about her feeling pushed out too. Also not really planned but I'm already excited after only knowing for one day so I must have secretly wanted another Grin

Scarlett I've had / still got the same thing - it's horrible and seems to go on forever :( I didn't know I was pg though so been taking flu + :( :( Hoping it doesn't do any damage and coughing away now. Sorry no advice but lots of sympathy. Hope you are better soon.

How and when did you tell you children that you are pg? We were going to wait for the scan as a) she's a chatterer and will tell everyone and b) it's a long time to wait for something that you can't see yet! Also need to change her to a new bedroom and bed etc. want to leave it as long as possible really but also don't want her to feel like she has been pushed out of her place for the baby. Anyone navigated this mine field before?!

Not feeling anything atm - doesn't quite feel real but long may it last as last pg I ended up quite uncomfortable.

cryingbabymess · 18/03/2015 07:47

I woke up quite a few times last night when I don't normally. My OH was annoying me last night too, taking up all the room which didn't help!

ninjabeer · 18/03/2015 07:57

I finally got back to sleep at 6 and when the alarm went off I felt like I'd been run over by a truck.

Oh dear listen to me what a moaner! Right that's it Ninja put your big girl pants on! Let's have a bit of positivity. 5 weeks today. Whoop!

cryingbabymess · 18/03/2015 08:06

Ninja you're just 2 days behind me, I'm 5+2! So sleepy again! Don't know how I'm going to keep it up at work!! Don't wanna tell them too early either!

Unthoughtknown · 18/03/2015 08:39

Tmi alert (sorry for those eating breakfast), but is anyone else getting loads of white cm? It's been my one constant symptom. 5+5 today and very bloated also. Magical time.

cryingbabymess · 18/03/2015 08:48

I'm really struggling to hide it at work now. My receptionist knows me really well and keeps asking how I'm doing and I still look tired etc. my excuse is it was the weekend when really....!any good tips on how to hide it? Shock

Crumbelina · 18/03/2015 08:58

GotTheKey, I'm really bloated and look like I'm much further down the line than 8 weeks! I'm normally a size 8 and it's becoming pretty noticeable. Lots of big cardies for work!

Can I join too? Positive test last week, think I'm about 5 weeks so due mid November-ish... First time, so I'm googling everything a bit obsessively at the moment! Suffering from metallic mouth and nausea, and a bit of insomnia, but otherwise not much else.

Stats are (if I've got this right):
36 #1 EDD 12/11

Anyone got any experiences of exercising through pregnancy? Just wondering when I might need to change what I normally do.

CishAndFips · 18/03/2015 10:05

My tummy is starting to feel pregnant now if that makes sense. Sort of changing shape and feels like there is something in there. I have always had a bit of a bump type shaped tummy so dont think its noticable it just feels different.

tootsroots · 18/03/2015 10:12

Miss carter - i had to tell my boss yesterday! I work in the City and thought she would freak but she gave me a MASSIVE hug and seemed very happy, then said instead of the year we had discussed to get my promotion i have 8 months.. and to 'bring it on!'. hmm. She has two kids and does 4 days part time so i am lucky she is good with it. She also said she wants me if i can to take a year mat leave as you never get it back... i was like.. i am only 6 weeks! but nice to have support wanna pay me more mat pay to cover my mortgage?!!

I had to tell her as my nausea is all day and i have been sick quite a lot. She told me to work at home today as i looked all puffy and tired, lovely!!Just had a two hour call with our Asia team. luckily i had mute as i made toast, tea, fed the cats... and was sick... all whilst on the call!

How is everyone else this lovely morning?
Waves at the new bfps!

We decided not to extend in Jan .. now i am looking about thinking... this kitchen is not big enough to eat in let alone feed kids in!

halestone · 18/03/2015 10:12

Unthought i have that too and if i remember correctly i've had it all the way through my last pregnancy.

Welcome to the new BFPs today, such a magical date you'll never forget today.

I think exercise is safe to do as long as you maintain your pre pregnancy routine and stop if it feels too much. They jusy say don't start anything new in the 1st trimester.

Dp won't let me tell anyone we're expecting only my dad and best friend know. I can't wait to tell my family, i have had a T-Shirt printed for Dd and on one side it says ' I'm so perfect mum and dad decided to have another'. Then on the back it says 'Big Sister November 2015'. I'm going to let Dd wear it and just film on my phone my families reaction Grin

cryingbabymess · 18/03/2015 10:13

I can't wait until I have a proper bump and can start telling people that I'm not just crazy but that I'm pregnant! My receptionist went through it over 40 years ago, do you think she would still be able to spot it?

BowiesJumper · 18/03/2015 10:17

Morning all, welcome to the new bfp'ers! Congratulations all!

I'm still waiting to hear back from the EPU about my appointment. I'm hoping I won't have to wait too long!

I've just had a massive bowl of granola so I'm hoping that will stave off the the nausea for a bit. I usually feel that when I'm hungry. But I've got some peanuts that I can throw in my gob if that creeps up.

Work wise, I'm finding it difficult to concentrate, but I WILL.

FlossyLil · 18/03/2015 10:23

Welcome new BFPs!!

Ohh that's so nice to have a boss like that Toots!

Felt really bad first thing today, not sick, but such bad nausea thought I was heading for a rendezvous with the toilet pan for sure! Has eased a little with forcing a bit of food down. Luckily I'm working from home today, thank God!

Frescoed · 18/03/2015 10:42

Cheers Halestone, no excuses for not heading to the gym then!

NewMrsX · 18/03/2015 11:10

Had my early scan today to check it isn't another ectopic. Saw a tiny blob in the right place with a little flickering heartbeat! It's measuring 6+2 so 2 days ahead of what I originally thought and it's 5.9mm in size. So so happy and relieved. Hope everyone else waiting gets similar news xx

BleachedBarnet · 18/03/2015 11:40

Morning all, so pleased to see new faces (metaphorically Grin)!

I've made an appointment to see my GP, who I suppose will refer me to my local hospital. Anyone from London here? I've been thinking a lot about home birth, but just not sure if my tiny new-build high-rise flat is suited?

I have long overdue catch up drinks with friends from an old job tonight, all of which are seasoned drinkers. They are some of my closest and best friends but I still don't want to tell people so soon... excuses for not drinking? I tried the old 'antibiotics' with other friends at the weekend and spent the whole night fighting off their well intentioned but misplaced concern!

Karmanna13 · 18/03/2015 11:40

Welcome and congrats to all new BFPs!

NewMrsX, glad to hear the baby is where it should be. I am also slightly nervous as had an ectopic a couple of years ago although the damaged tube was removed so not sure if I qualify for an early scan. Will check at first mw appointment on Monday!

BleachedBarnet · 18/03/2015 11:41

Oh and congrats NewMrsX! How exciting Smile
