Mrscatmad I'm so glad you said that, I am also Finding my trousers tight and was a bit worried that I had just out on weight as I'm nearly 7 weeks and thought it was too soon !

mrscatmad31 · 17/03/2015 09:59

It's mad isn't it? I'm actually eating less as I feel huge and my appetite had decreased so it has to be because I'm pregnant

Ahhh thanks for clarifying!

I also shouldn't moan as I'll be sweating in no time but I've been freezing for the past 3 days, no matter where I am or what I'm doing I feel frozen! Anyone else been like that? I know I'll be getting the sweats on soon!

CishAndFips · 17/03/2015 10:38

so have just realised I have been going from my estimated conception date not lmp date so im actually 7+1 not the 5+1 I thought. does that mean due date is 2 weeks earlier than I thought. I just went of the dr's dates last time.

Babs10 · 17/03/2015 10:58

Cishandfips it depends on how many weeks you were adding on to your implementation date to get your due date. If you go on your last period you add 40 weeks I think, that's what I've done anyway! So mine was 9/2 which makes DD 16/11

CishAndFips · 17/03/2015 11:05

oh so my edd is the 2nd ish then. I just remember last time doc told me my I was due end of nov then had scan and it was moved to beginning of dec hence y I thought it was 40 from conception. oh well.

BowiesJumper · 17/03/2015 11:13

Yes I've also been absolutely freezing, but it might be linked to be tired. I'm always cold when I'm tired!

Babs10 · 17/03/2015 11:27

I guess our babies will come whenever they're ready! ?? Has it sunk in for everyone yet? I still can't get my head around it!! I don't know why I'm so cold, could be due to tiredness! I keep making up excuses at work for being tired but they will start to get suspicious soon!

When's a good time to tell your boss? My boss in this case is the Managing Director.....I'm not 12 weeks until start of May but going for an overnight stay with my boss and co-worker when I'll be 10 weeks and they expect me to be drinking wine!!!

halestone · 17/03/2015 11:41

I am never cold and i have been freezing this past couple of weeks i can't seem to get warm. I never realised that was a pregnancy symptom.

NewMrsX · 17/03/2015 12:04

Jealous of those with no sickness. I'm 5+6 and all day nausea for the past 2 days. It hasn't turned into actual vomiting yet thankfully but it constantly feels like I'm on the edge.

Being sick terrifies me so not coping too well Sad and I scared myself even more yesterday by reading up about hyperemisis. Counting down the days to 12 weeks now although I have an early scan tomorrow to check it's not another ectopic so that should hopefully cheer me up

BowiesJumper · 17/03/2015 12:06

Just found this old thread, so it's not just us!

Same here mrscat and babs - I conceived first month of trying. I'd cycle charted for pure interest for years before though, and prepped for a year, and needed an autumn baby for work reasons - specifically a. November baby - so pretty much gave DH the mandate - impregnate me between 11-14 February 2015, culminating your "efforts" on Valentines Day which was ovulation day, and voila! Feel enormously lucky I didn't have to experience TTC at all really.

Much relieved after seeing the mite yesterday and hearing the heartbeat and that the growth is perfect for the stage. Hoping things sink in a bit now!

Karmanna13 · 17/03/2015 12:09

Yes, I'm freezing too! Never connected it to being pg either. I keep turning the heating up and DH turns it down.

I'm 5 weeks today but I had almost forgotten about being pg as my whole weekend has been taken up by DIY, I hate it at the best of times but in the first trimester when tired and grumpy I really wouldn't recommend it!

Have first health chat with mw next week, think I might ask for early scan as only have one tube due to previous ectopic. If she won't refer me my mum has promised to sneak me in for a scan at work. She's a mw at the pregnancy emergency unit at the local hospital.

Hope everyone is doing ok today!

Babs10 · 17/03/2015 12:15

I'm glad it's not just me freezing! It's just constant, I want to go to work in my hoodie at the moment just to keep warm! I'm soooo tired today!

mrstothemr · 17/03/2015 12:15

I was starting to think feeling cold was a bad sign (temping shows you get hotter?) so very glad to hear it's a symptom. Hot water bottles and duvets all round

CishAndFips · 17/03/2015 12:31

isn't it funny how many of us are freezing and never connected it to pregnancy. I just put it down to being tired. Doh ive been putting the heating on full and wearing jumpers. Dh keeps coming in and complaining its like a sauna oops.

Crumbelina · 17/03/2015 12:35

Karmanna I'm the same! We've got to renovate a whole house before November and so DIY will be a feature of my entire pregnancy. We were TTC for so long that I didn't give a pregnancy clash too much thought.

I'm always cold so no change there but my God, the TIREDNESS today. It's overtaking the nausea. Lots of love to the ladies really suffering with sickness though - it must be awful.

Saw the midwife for the booking-in appointment yesterday. All very standard; lots of questions, wee sample and a blood test.

Babs10 · 17/03/2015 12:37

Crumbelina I've my first MW appt on the 30th, is it just questions and samples? I don't know what to expect

Karmanna13 · 17/03/2015 12:57

Crumbelina, wow a whole house, that's ambitious. We've just done the hallway and I never want to do any DIY ever again! DH and I never argue - unless we're doing DIY. We're meant to do the office next but for the sake of our sanity (and marriage) I am tempted to get someone else in to do it! Grin

NoMoreSashimi · 17/03/2015 13:00

I had my first mw appointment yesterday as well, Crumbelina :-) Lots of questions, pee & blood (took two midwifes and a couple of trials to get some of my precious blood...). They also did a carbon monoxide test to confirm I don't smoke. Got lots of reading materials to take home and am now waiting for a scan date.

Babs10 · 17/03/2015 13:04

Do they always do a carbon monoxide test?

NoMoreSashimi · 17/03/2015 13:07

I don't know, my first ever time to see the mw. I told them I stopped smoking last year, so maybe they wanted to see if that's true.
