Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 22nd grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 39th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

So, roll call below please, viroids!

Bat I think I remember my symptoms dropping off just before 12 weeks which terrified me. They came back a few days later. Book is the expectant dad's survival guide. He hasn't picked it up for a while.

Good luck today mountain!!! I'll be thinking of you.

I had a big cry yesterday. We booked to go away for a baby moon this weekend coming. We wanted to go abroad but couldn't afford it so booked a nice country hotel near bath for 2 nights. Yesterday it just felt like everything was unravelling.

I came home from wales to find cat had peed everywhere so we thought it will be best to put them in a Cattery as then they wont get stressed. Cattery is closed for 2 weeks.

We then decided to book nice dinner for the sat night in bath. Spend 2 hours looking for restaurants on internet. All either too expensive or booked up (bath is expensive!)

Finally book somewhere. It's not ideal but it'll do. So I phone hotel we staying in just to check whether you need to book dinner, as we think we will be tired first night and just want to stay in. Hotel tell me they've just shut kitchen urgently for a months refurb so no dinner available and they'd phoned me (16 min ago according to my phone) to let me know.

Hotel is in middle of fucking nowhere. So I'd have to get in car and drive us to find somewhere to eat.

I know it's a first world problem but when you're pregnant and looking forward to your last weekend away with dh it was so disappointing. So I burst into tears and wailed for an hour.

Hotel is £165 a night. I'm not paying that for somewhere I can't even get a meal. 5 days notice before we go!

All sorted now. Told hotel to go f themselves (politely) and we spent another hour finding somewhere new to stay. So now I'm going to Bristol and we will drive to bath on the sat. It means I can't have my massage anymore but I don't care because the new hotel has a pool! I didn't then spend £22 on a maternity swimming cossie

Big happy moment yesterday was that in the middle of this the baby started furiously kicking me and dh felt it for the first time Grin. He was all open mouthed amazed

Sorry for essay.

LaLaLaaaa · 02/03/2015 07:26

I told family and close friends people at 11 weeks because I had private scan (nhs scan wasn't til 13 weeks), it was Christmas and only time we'd see family and so I was obviously showing. Told everyone else after 13 week scan.

It's completely up to you when you tell. It's your happy news to share when you feel comfortable Grin

LaLaLaaaa · 02/03/2015 07:51

Hey, it's march! That means this is the month some viroids are due to have a baby! Smile

laurenamium · 02/03/2015 07:52

I told people early too. Most of my family and close friends knew after my 8 week scan because I'm rubbish at secrets! I didn't put anything on Facebook until later though!

splodge77 · 02/03/2015 07:56

Oh La what a pain, when u just want a nice wknd away & the world conspires against you. Glad you've got hotel sorted. DPs sisters live in Bristol. I could ask for recommendations of salons that do preg massage there if that would help?

laurenamium · 02/03/2015 08:40

I pood I pood GrinGrin

Pisghetti · 02/03/2015 08:41

That's what we ended up doing La - bath was just too expensive to stay. If parking is cheap and the hotel is near the centre, it's worth checking the first great western website for special deals and considering getting the train to Bath. We paid £8 something for the return ticket (free parking at hotel and close to Temple Meads) and got 4hrs for the price of 2 at the Thermae Spa.

Great scan news Purple!

Good luck Mountain!

Ga coffee and fags Grin happy pootimes Lauren!

I'm due 2 weeks today Shock Shock Shock

Oh La what a pain. Hotels drive me mad! I'm in them every week though. Bath is gorgeous and you'll have a fab time.

Hurray for pooing Lauren

ChatEnOeuf · 02/03/2015 09:32

Excellent news Lauren, well done! Lactulose is the gentlest one for future reference.

We stayed in a lovely guesthouse in Bathwick when we went. No food there but a lovely pub just down the hill near river did great food. Was a nice (if quite long) walk to the city from there as well. Glad it's all sorted now, you can always book a massage at a later date.

Purple, congrats on the lovely scan! Just noticed your name change too, v nice :)

Mountain definitely not too early. You never know, they may put your dates forward to 12w anyway. Tell whomever you please...but show us a pic first Wink

Bat, first trimester time goes slower than at any other point in your life. Roll on Sat and hopefully some more good news.

DH (and I) read Pregnancy for Men - v funny and pretty informative.

ZylaB · 02/03/2015 09:34

I'm due on Friday! oh, hang on Grin

LaLaLaaaa · 02/03/2015 09:41

Hooray for pooing! waves pom poms

Splodge thank you so much - I think I'm going to just have massage locally here as it's much cheaper and you get a pedi thrown in the price sparkly swollen feet!

Pis that is a great idea I will look at trains. I don't think they allow upduffed ladies in the thermal spa but I'll check

DulcetMoans · 02/03/2015 09:47

Oh what a sod la! Glad you got something sorted at least. Bath is lovely but you will have a nice time wherever you go as long as you are together!

poogratulations lauren! Is it a massive relief?!

I'm in a premier inn this evening, overnight for a conference. At least I get breakfast made for me!

Pisghetti · 02/03/2015 09:59

They let me in a fortnight ago Grin the baths are fine but you're asked not to use the aroma steam rooms (I did check before we went). I was happy to wallow in the baths though - I haven't felt so light in months!

Hooray for pooping Lauren Grin

Is it your scan today mountain? Hope all goes well! x

splodge77 · 02/03/2015 10:46

ugh I had a night of arse rain and stomach cramps last night so almost slightly jealous of your constipation Lauren. Nah, I'm not. Here's to normal poos all round for everyone. (love the topics of conversation on here heh heh!)

Purpleball · 02/03/2015 10:49

Oooh the rooftop pool at the Thermae spa was lovely

laurenamium · 02/03/2015 11:27

Good luck today mountain Smile

TheBooMonster · 02/03/2015 12:40

la argh on the hotel drama! Definitely not what you need! But glad you've got it all sorted now!

I have this totally weird feeling today, I don't feel pregnant Shock I definitely still am, and she's kicking away occasionally, but I feel distinctly unpregnant in a way that I can't quite put my finger on...

teejayem · 02/03/2015 13:59

Yay for Poop Lauren! :D - Hope it goes well today.

Popping in to see if we'd heard from mountain and a MiL hooya.. I I am being irrational this time, but I've just had a text from her to say she's bulk bought a load of nappies for me because she saw them on offer. I am feeling strangely put out by this, and know she is trying to help, but cannot shake the 'back the fuck off' feeling. . Plus I kind of wanted to research & buy my own? Which I know is ridiculous as they are basically poo receptacles. Someone slap me!
The holiday thing has been sorted thankfully, Mr Tee was very diplomatic in the letdown last night, so that's something I don't have to worry about..
Good news about the Hotel La, sounds like a nice break!

LaLaLaaaa · 02/03/2015 14:10

Tee - in the words of swifty - shake it off! Nappies are expensive and they just poop in them. If it were something like a bike I'd be upset but not nappies. She's just excited. You can always take them back?

Mountain I hope everything's ok

teejayem · 02/03/2015 14:16

Thanks La. It's just for poop, and I am being a nob :) x

Pisghetti · 02/03/2015 14:27

Tee I'd wager the way you're feeling is more to do with the consistent OTTness of your MIL rather then your feelings on nappies specifically! If it hadn't been for all the other stuff, you'd probably not mind this one at all. You'll have the chance to buy plenty of nappies in time Wink I'd only get annoyed if you had, for example, specifically said you wanted to use reusables and she's gone out and bought disposables - bit like the bf/ff thing she has done.

Boo I know that feeling. I check my bump is there when I wake up. Then I try moving out of bed and realise I am still very pregnant Hmm

Fleurchamp · 02/03/2015 14:35

Hi all

DH and I had a much needed weekend away, very relaxing and home in time for a cuppa before heading off to our 20 week scan Grin

I definitely do not feel pregnant. I have only felt a couple of twinges which could be the baby or could just be wind?

Avoiding the July Fred as they are all having proper kicks that their other half's can feel and have only put on 2lb in weight Envy

The only thing keeping me sane is that I am putting on weight rapidly and therefore everything must be ok!

willywallace · 02/03/2015 14:41

Yeah I used to get those moments Boo. Would forget my bump was there until I moved.

Tee, I'd lose the nappy war if it meant winning the holiday one! You can always send them onto me, I'm spending a bloody fortune with two of them in them. Wink
