Hi all,

Haven't posted for ages - internet has been down at home, but fixed now! Just finished reading the other thread.

N&t&b - totally know what u mean about the nappy thing - was really struggling 2 change 4 month old dd's nappy this am without running 2 the bathroom... feeding 2 cats also does the trick quite well first thing in the morninh]g! Guess it is a good sign, as it means the hormones are definately kicking in! The only great thing is I am not back at work yet - still on maternity leave - was much worse when I had to cope with throwing up at the office with DD.

PizPizpiz - DD was born on 20th June this year - so if ur's arrives on time they will share the same birthday!

Ludgie · 25/10/2006 09:14

What a good idea. I had sort of lost track of most of the conversations on the old thread as I am still new to all of this.
My issue at the moment is the effect the Folic acid tablet seem to be having on me. Any one else suffering?
Any recommendations on good multi vitamins, there are so many out there?

PizPizPiz · 25/10/2006 16:37

Ludgie, I take Pronatal by Sanatogen and feel fine. Mind you, not much seems to affect me foodwise

sputnik · 30/10/2006 08:28

Just made a link to this from the old thread as I dont think lots of people realised a new one had started.

annobal · 30/10/2006 08:30

Can I join your thread? I'm also due in June (no 3!) but am sure my tummy is expanding at the rate of knots!

sputnik · 30/10/2006 10:20

Welcome, Annobal, to the tummy expansion club. I mentioned my expanding tummy to DH hoping he'd say "nah, you're imagining it" and he just said "yes, I'd noticed". First time round it took ages before anything showed. Suspect I'll be needing maternity clothes a lot sooner this time around.

PocketTasha · 30/10/2006 10:40

PocketTasha · 30/10/2006 10:47

Annobel, it's nice to see someone else who is going for their third! we must be mad! I'm not sure how many there are on the thread now.

thehairybabysmum · 30/10/2006 10:54

Juicylucythe2nd · 30/10/2006 11:20

Hairybabysmum - so

Take care of yourself and give yourself time to recover. It's just a horrible thing to have to experience.

Lots of {{{{{HUGS}}}}}}

PocketTasha · 30/10/2006 11:50

Hairybabysmum... I'm so sorry. {{hugs}}

annobal · 30/10/2006 13:11

Hairybaby - I'm so sorry Good luck with your scan tomorrow.

sputnik · 30/10/2006 14:00

Hairybabysmum, so sorry to hear that
Give hairybaby a hug and take care of yourself.

PizPizPiz · 30/10/2006 14:25

Sorry hairybabysmum
I did a search and found an old thread that confirmed that the bump starts to show much earlier in subsequent pg. Off to buy pg trousers then !

Cocobear · 30/10/2006 15:04

hairybabysmum, am so sorry

Cocobear · 30/10/2006 15:15

For those of you already buying the next size up trousers: Thanks to truly incredible MS (almost total food aversion), I've lost over 10 pounds. I feel like I should be on the cover of some women's magazine: I lost nearly a stone in just three weeks! You can too! My stomach hasn't looked this flat for years. To think of all the wasted hours on that sodding treadmill.

Roll on Xmas, when I'm sure this will have passed, and I can enjoy gaining it all back.

Ludgie.. I'm taking Centrum maternity multis, and they're one of the only things that don't make me sick. But the B6 supplements make me feel a bit iffy.

Off to nibble some dry crackers...

PizPizPiz · 30/10/2006 15:18

lol cocobear

Juicylucythe2nd · 30/10/2006 16:27

Cocobear - LOL. I have lost about 3 pounds but not from my tummy! Mostly from my grey face I think LOL.

Roll on the "bloomin" bit.

steppemum · 30/10/2006 16:43

Hi all,
Well, 7 weeks tomorrow, so I'm beginning to believe this one might actually stick!!

coco, I lost weight all through last pregnancy, (not ms, just very unhungry the whole time) gave birth and weighed in at 5 kilos less than I started (then lost more over the next few weeks) It was amazing, and I felt great, and then I put it all on again and a bit more as I was starving and tired while breastfeeding!!!

feel quite squiffy all the time, not actually sick but not right and not hungry, roll on 12 weeks!

bumperlicious · 30/10/2006 18:25

Bleughhhh! I feel vile. This weekend I have felt like I have had the mother of all hangovers without the pleasure of having had copious amounts of wine [] I haven't been sick, just generally feel nauseous, and on top of that seem to have developed a stinking cold! Bleugghhhhh! The trouble is, some of the time I can't tell whether I feel sick or hungry. If it's hungry it's for very specific things, like in a meeting today I was thinking that I could murder an apple crumble with ice cream!
Steppemum, I'm 7 weeks 2moro too!
Hairybabysmum I'm sorry to be going on about this when things are so uncertain for you. Take care of yourself and let us know how you are doing.

HRHQueenOfQuotes · 30/10/2006 18:43

I'm due no.3 too - so you're not the only ones....

annobal · 30/10/2006 18:59

Good to know I'm not the only mad one (re expecting no 3). I'm taking Vitamum - doesn't make me feel sick at all (well any sicker than I'm feeling at the moment!

HRHQueenOfQuotes · 30/10/2006 19:01

ermm well tbh this wasn't exactly 'planned' (neither was DS2 ) - I even took the Morning after pill LOL.

Cocobear · 31/10/2006 09:01

Ahhh, Halloween. The seamstress just came over with DS's black cat outfit (a nice cool linen for the West African October heat), so it looks like I get to drag my nauseous butt to a party full of candy and screaming kiddies this evening.

DS very excited. Meowing.
