Catching up.
daholster I love the blue paper with white animals. Really stylish. Although it is a hard colour to pair, that blue. We have a lighter duck egg on one downstairs wall and I've accessorised with orange.

Sorry for your troubles Lady but congrats on the impending wedding.

Acid is the worst thing ever brum. Esp when you have to spit it out in the street. Vile. I've only used Gaviscon. I had acid anyway pre-preg, triggered by gluten and yeast. Wail. Some foods may make it worse. I find Coke, Airwaves, Extra Strong Mints and apples (weird) help.

I bought this fox sweatshirt for the baby as we had John Lewis vouchers. I don't normally like proper clothes on babies but I couldn't resist this as I love foxes.

I think melon is meant to help with acid reflux.

kismac · 01/02/2015 11:10

I've loads of high kicks, mainly in my ribs. I am carrying high. My bump goes right up to my boobs. I've no space!

cinnamongreyhound · 01/02/2015 11:11

I get itchy legs some evenings BonjourMinou, had it with my other two as well just keep and I eye on it as it can be a sign of something colitis I believe, my midwife was cautious of it last time.

I definitely have days like that PenguinPoser! Some days I feel ok and other I ache and can't get comfy and I'm very grumpy, hope today is a better day for you Flowers

Im worried about getting constipated from taking antacids, I assume a reduction in acid would slow digestion? Regular exercise is the only thing keeping things moving for me! If I have a few days without a run (even though I walk several miles a day and eat plenty of fibre) I don't go to the loo at all Sad. The burning is awful and it is stopping me sleeping some nights but I think I'd prefer that than being totally bunged up as that makes me feel terrible. What are everyone's experiences?

My reflux got so bad I went to GP so now in on medication. Take one tablet a day called imprazole and it's a miracle. Never had it before benign pregnant and I was finding I couldn't do a thing without it striking.
Seriously , gaviscon made me want to hurl so those that are suffering- ask as I haven't had it since!

smogsville · 01/02/2015 14:00

London I didn't know about whooping cough being a 4 in 1 either and I've presumably had it once in last preg. I tend to do as I'm told when it comes to midwives, vaccines etc and not ask any questions.

Hidingthefear · 01/02/2015 14:59

Good luck with the wedding lady must be a tough time but you're clearly made of strong stuff!!

I use the liquid gaviscon (well own brand stuff, and doctor has prescribed me some one so when I finally get to the docs to pic up the prescription it will be free), and haven't had any constipation. The iron tablets have had a slight effect but I still go about 3 times a day (which is pretty normal for me anyway)

Mil took our dog out yesterday for a long walk and today she's really ill, got the runs everywhere :( turns out she ate some lamb poo and mil gave her some treats (that she hasn't had before) and I think the combination upset her stomach. Just hope she's better soon coz were both at work tomorrow :/

Been and picked up our baby monitors today seen as Asda had the baby event on. DH chose them. think he only picked them because they are video ones and he's a bit of a tech geek and thought tpit was cool that he could see baby on the monitor,

Just noticed there is an October thread! Shock

Lauren82000 · 01/02/2015 15:04

Hmm had tacos last night and the house still stinks! Confused Should really light one of those chefs candles but were going to my mums when DD comes back from playing with her uncle. I'll have to light one when we get home instead . Sad

RiverRocks · 01/02/2015 16:18

Phew! Mammoth read to catch up! Just in time for the next thread Grin.

Congrats on your new home Brixton, and your upcoming wedding Lady - sorry for the crappy circumstances Flowers

I'm carrying high, and have struggled with acid. Went to see the GP, and he's prescribed me omaprazole. Wonder drug - haven't had any problems with it since.

For sleeping, I bought a long sausage pillow. I've found the comfiest position is to have both my knees on top of it rather than have it between my legs. Might be worth trying if anyone is still struggling?

I have now started with swelling in my hands causing pins and needles and tingling. Helps if DH rubs them, GP says I just have to live with it until after the birth. Can't wear my rings anymore Shock

As some of you may remember, I'm a bit of a fraud on the April thread as my EDD is 26th March. That means my baby is due next month... eek Confused

cutestgirls · 01/02/2015 16:38

Welcome cutest be sure to add your details to the stats thread (should be linked on the first page of this thread I believe)

went into work today which was perhaps a mistake, god knows what my till investigation sheet will look like next week! Was completely not with it, Managed to forget my purse and thus my locker key, then forgot to get half of my work stuff out of my locker so had to go through the rigmarole of getting admin to open my locker wise (in the end I left the damned thing unlocked) made mistake after mistake over the course of the day and we were doing some sort of bizarre postcode survey which in the end I had to resort to waving at customers in a lost fashion because I had complete mind block at being able to put the letters and numbers I was hearing onto the paper. All with heartburn and of courseI forgot the body gaviscon!

Absolutely knackered after a full day work event yesterday... still, we got a bit further in deciding which colour we want to paint the nursery, and picked up our Snuzpod and some sheets! So should baby arrive early, at least it'll have somewhere to sleep even if it won't have much else, which is a comfort.

But I am now very, very tired, which isn't helping with All The Things still on the list to do. DH is cooking dinner tonight, thank goodness. Think I'll be crying off dinner with his folks & brother tomorrow - this was sprung on me in the middle of last week as a 'by the way...', and while I figured I might have enough energy on Saturday morning, I'm strongly suspecting that may have been an overoptimistic position to take.

FiRaffe · 01/02/2015 21:43

I know what you mean Annia - i'm so pleased to have the amazon emails saying the new mattress and sheets for our second hand moses basket have been dispatched. At least baby will have somewhere to sleep!

RumNoRaisins · 01/02/2015 22:17

I think I've gone into serious nesting mode. I felt compelled to do a maintenance hot wash on the washing machine before washing any baby clothes. Then, I decided to clean out the utility room, knowing that it was a futile exercise because everything gets dumped in there. After that I washed all the cloth nappies that were in storage and spent a crazy amount of time admiring all the pretty colours

Tonight I dissected the medela swing to give the innards a good inspection as I had read that the pump can potentially grow mould if breastmilk got sucked into the motor component. I don't remember it happening with when expressing for DS1 but I needed to see for myself. The innards look pristine so I think we will be reusing the pump, just need to buy replacement tubing etc

PenguinPoser · 01/02/2015 22:33

Hi cutestgirls!

Does the snuzpod look good Annia? I'm waiting for ours to be delivered but not until the end of the month. Already have the sheets for it so once it arrives will be sorted Smile

Oh dear Boo I think I know how you feel sometimes my brain just feels like it's filled with mush and end up forgetting everything. I'm so clumsy at the moment too.

Have ordered bump support belt from amazon... 2 days of pelvic/back/hip pain is enough for me... Just hope it arrives soon - and helps!

Thanks cinnamon still not right though so gonna call the vets when they open at 8, luckily our general manager is a dog lover so he won't mind me nipping out to take her. Bloody diarrhoea not a good sign and she's just not herself :(
Welcome to the club cutestgirl !!
I keep having to take my rings off too river although it just seems to be when I get hot, don't want to take them off, feel naked without my wedding ring

daholster · 02/02/2015 07:48

Morning everyone and welcome cutest!

LadyNovember sorry to hear of the hard time you and your dp's family are having. I hope the wedding is perfect and everyone can enjoy it.

Woke up with an alarming moment this morning - a trickling sensation down below, definitely a vaginal trickle, laid really still and it carried on. Not enough to make anything wet, felt worse than it was. Got up for the loo to make sure nothing fell out when I did... Nothing did! Just discharge I think, not seen anything and was short lived, but an interesting start to the morning!

Being a bad mummy, back in bed with dd in our big bed and Peppa on the telly. She's happy, I'm happy, and at nearly 30 weeks pregnant I can forgive myself one morning a week when I'm on my own being lazy in bed!!!

We I have decided that we are going to get wall stickers from [www.tinyme.co.uk] for ds's room. There hasn't anything "quite right" in the wallpaper stakes. With dd's room the What A Hoot paper it was just right and I wanted ot starughr away. The one I like for ds is the top left and that is very parent orientated for a beautiful nursery nor stimulating for him. And the rest in real life are quite muted in colour (it seems to be the fashion) and just not right. The stickers will give him something to look at and animals to see and talk about as he gets bigger, like dd does with his birds.

A bit more of a trickle feeling Confused

What a lot of typos! In bed a bit longer I think...
