Thanks cinnamon - lovely scan pics.

smog I think you'll be fine driving to Brighton, just take notes with you just in case. I'm off to a wedding at the end of next month a few hours away but sure DH will be chauffeur.

PenguinPoser · 20/01/2015 21:29

Yeah that's where I've ordered from too - they had a good deal of £20 off if you but snuzpod and mattress so was same price as I had seen elsewhere Smile

Thread 9? What a load of chatterboxes we all are!
Just marking my place really, need to go back and catch up properly on about 5 pages!

BrixtonBunny · 20/01/2015 21:32

Penguin it's sold out! Noo! Going to hope they come back in stock somewhere soon Confused

mswibble · 20/01/2015 21:33

Ooh im team blue Boo!

mswibble · 20/01/2015 21:34

Oh, and I never updated my initial EDD - im actually the 23rd of April. Seems there are a few of us due on this date. Exciting!

minipie · 20/01/2015 21:41

marking place! wrote a long ish post for the other thread but by the times came to post it was full up.

daholster thanks so much for the info re irritable uterus. I am now wondering if that's what caused DD to be prem as I had so many strong braxton hicks last time and worryingly am having same again. I might call the midwives tomorrow and ask. Hope they manage to come up with some more useful advice for you than rest... from a quick google I've seen advice including rest, drink more water, pee more, avoid orgasm (no danger here sadly!) and in the usa they sometimes take progesterone.

cinnamon very glad all is looking positive with your wee one, hope that continues.

catching up, so sorry if i'm a little behind!! we got through that last thread really quickly!!

squatting re the clothes, yes it annoys me that all boy stuff in asda seems to be blue, or I end up with just cream. I don't like tops with slogans on, like "aren't I a cool dud etc"

daholser I actually find your post about not feeling the rush of love until a few weeks later really reassuring, so thank you for sharing again. I think I read that story previously and it was that, that made me realise that all may not be lost and not to panic. Have any ov you other mums experienced a later realisation of love? I asked my Nan and my Auntie and they both said it was amazing and they just wanted to burst with love, so I stopped asking as i started to feel like a freak for asking.

boomonseter mammas and pappas have these and they don't put anything inside the cot bumper individual bumper

mswibble i'm not noticing driving is uncofy but i'm not in there for long. i am finding that my ribs ache when i'm sat for a while though.

Heyitsholly · 20/01/2015 21:52

No one else has my due date! I've just added mine to the stats thread (didn't know it existed)

I've read Jan 2015 thread nice to see some positive birth experiences. If all goes to plan ill be pleased to be mid month as I get to read others experiences but not wait too long for mine (hopefully!) Just getting carrief away with myself.
Thanks for the sling and bumper advice earlier ladies!I think I'm gonna avoid both.
HR were shocked at my managers advice risk ax so far, pleased its not the whole company and fingers crossed things will improve now I've complained!

PenguinPoser · 20/01/2015 21:52

Ah no Brixton! Same happened to me last week - it was available to pre order for delivery end of Jan, I didn't order then they sold out, kept checking every day and a few days later it came back available for end of Feb. So keep looking every day - I figure if they are the main manufacturer people they should be first to get them back again!

brummagem · 20/01/2015 22:13

Wow thread 9 already. Wonder how many we'll get to by April!

Someone posted a while ago about someone on a bounty group that had her baby really early. I hope they're both ok.

It's really weird watching my tummy pop all over the place now. My DH is sure I make it up as he never sees or feels him moving lol. I think he's had another growth spurt as my belly button feels all stretched and itchy again either that or it's the burritos and shepherds pie I've demolished. Grin

hi chatterboxes.Wink

cinnamon I think it will be tricky to find someone to replace me as I'm not in London. The hourly rate isn't v high ( as is usual with yoga) so people don't want to travel far. which is fair enough, but I fear that if I don't find anyone to replace me, my students will all have found another class to go to before I come back. sigh.

Sorry (but also secretly glad) to hear I'm not the only one struggling with toddlers and their challenges.

re driving, I think it massively depends on your bump and the car. I don't find driving uncomfortable yet. Which is lucky as I've got very long (5 hour ) drive to my parents due for half term.

oh and a quick reminder to those with kiwi other halves (smogs and was it boo?) that waitangi day is fast approaching. I tend to bake lamingtons, Anzac biscuits, hokey pokey etc. Going to do some kiwi crafts too (Maori masks, etc). We know two other kiwi families in our village so invite them over.

londonlivvy · 20/01/2015 22:50

and hiding I didn't love DD when she first came out. I had a very tough birth and I just felt relief and exhaustion. There followed a tough few weeks of me feeling overwhelmed by the responsibility and the exhaustion. But then one afternoon she was asleep on my chest (she had silent reflux and wouldn't bloody sleep anywhere else) and, softly breathing into my neck I just thought to myself "I could really love you". That feeling had grown and grown and I just adore her now, even when she's being pesky.

smogsville · 20/01/2015 23:26

Thanks for driving advice I think I might only have to do one way so it will be fine just wanted to make sure I hadn't missed the memo on not driving more than x amount of time after x no of weeks.

Smileyaxolotl1 · 20/01/2015 23:27

Just popping in to say hi-in case anyone remembers me I was in right at the start and had a wedding at 7 weeks. Glad to see its all going well for people. Will try to come on more regularly - am nearly 29 weeks and excited to read I could start maternity leave if I really wanted to!

smogsville · 20/01/2015 23:27

londonlivvy that's v good of you re Anzac baking. My DH barely knows when anything is so that's my excuse not to do anything.

catsofa · 20/01/2015 23:35

Losing track a bit sorry, was it the Snuzpod people were having trouble finding in stock? NCT still have them in white, the "natural" colour is out of stock until March www.nctshop.co.uk/SnuzPod-3-in-1-Bedside-Crib/productinfo/4374/

Re: loving the bump, I still have trouble thinking of it as anything but my own belly, IYSWIM. Even though it is moving on its own... and of course I know there is someone in there... but I still can't quite properly wrap my head around it! I think because I've only held a baby maybe twice in my life, so it's just incredibly hard to imagine.

daholster · 20/01/2015 23:37

I love the stories about falling in love with your dc Smile I knew I was repeating myself from a few threads ago but I know there are lots of newbies since then. I was so relieved when it happened, suddenly I felt like mummy.

minipie you are welcome. Just got to wait and see what the obstetrician says on Thursday. I doubt he'll come early, I fully expect him to turn up late. Last time I wasn't well and dd arrived at 39+5 so I am guessing he might be comfy for longer unless someone hoiks him out sooner!
